Making my way to my office, opening the door I see the guys all in there waiting for me. I don't say two words to them. Just make my way to the bar to make myself drink. Once I have the scotch in the glass, I drink it down. The burn feeling all the way down to the pit of my stomach as the liquid slides down my throat helps with my awful mood. I make another.
"So, what happened. Does he know she's alive?" Martin asks from behind me.
Before I can answer, Tony speaks up "yeah well that's not all we found out tonight."
Turning around to face them, I look at each one of my friends. Seeing the same rage, and disgust on their faces and in their eyes as me. Just thinking about the evil my father and his men are capable of. No, not men, they are monsters. Some of the worst kind.
Before I know what's happening, I'm squeezing the glass in my hand so tight it breaks. Shattering into little pieces. I watch as they fall to the ground, along with the crimson of my blood. Looking to my hand, I see an angry cut on my palm. Seeing it disappear seconds later as though it never happened.
Looking up I notice that all eyes in the room are on me. Everyone is quiet. Nervous looks upon their faces. Not even one knows what I'm going to do. Hell, I don't know what I'm going to do. Just know what I want to do.
I wanted to kill the man known as my father when he showed up tonight. Visioned slicing his throat and watching him bleed out on my office floor back at the estate. He would be laying there, helpless, gurgling as he choked on his own blood. Would allow Joshua and Tony to have his right-hand man, take him to the basement and tell them to use their imaginations. Only thing would wish is that they make it hurt.
"Joshua, I want you to go pick up Keith and Liz right now. Go there, tell them they must come with whatever they can carry, and get you ass back here. No questions asked by them." I say looking at the glass by my feet on the floor.
Don't bother looking up, I hear as he walks to the door and opens it. He says something quietly to Tony, cannot make it out, but whatever it is I see him nod his way when I raise my head.
"Make it quick. I don't know how long we have." Before I have the words out of my mouth, he's got the door closed and is outside getting into the car. I'm not worried, he's one the fastest werewolves I know.
"When he gets back, have them set up in two of the spare rooms. Tell them they can see Ellie after her transition." I walk to the other side of the desk and sit down at my chair. Lay my head back and close my eyes. The days events play in my mind.
We hear the cars pull up to the front of the estate. The three of us watch the door. I excused all the help for the time being. They don't need to be here if there will be any bloodshed. Hear the footsteps approaching my office door.
When the door opens, in walks the man I have dreaded my entire existence. He looks at me with the same eyes I see in the mirror every day. You wouldn't know he's in his sixties. His hair has some gray in it, and he has some aging lines upon his face, but other then that he still looks to be in his late thirties.

"Son," he greets me with that sinister smile of his. Walking into the room he is flanked by his right-hand man, and it looks to be about five of his best men. So, they aren't here to fight because he would have brought an army if he was.
"No greeting for your father?" He asks with disdain dripping from his lips.
"Father, won't you and your men please have a seat." I say with a tight smile and a wave of my hand.
He sits in the chair in front of me, Connor sits beside him. Always the follower, that's why he wouldn't be anything more then my fathers right hand man. Connor has the good looks, but the mind of monster. Of course, that's why they are friends. Two peas in a pod.
"Do you know why I'm here son?" I look to my father and seeing the evil glint in his eyes tells me all I need to know. He may be evil, but he's not a stupid man.
"Nope, care to enlighten me." I need to hear what he knows. Once he tells me I can plan from there.
"Well, not sure if you know this or not, but do you remember little Ellie?" His question has my heart stopping in my chest, my palms are aching to hit him, and my body is ready to move. Joshua and Tony tense behind me, that subtle movement may go unnoticed by my father and his men, but I know they are waiting for his answer.
I don't say a thing, just stare at him. Conveying with my eyes that I am getting bored fast with this conversation. He must see it because his smile fades and his mouth forms into a straight line. Letting me know he's becoming unhappy with my disrespect of not answering him properly.
"Well, I'm sure you do, anyway what you don't know is Connor here couldn't stand being apart from her mother." He looks to his right-hand man, and the most devilish smile grows on his lips.
Looking back at me he tells me "We told everyone all three of them died in that car accident. Sad night that was." Inside I'm raging. The beast wants to come out and rip his head off.
Joshua must sense it because he places his hand on my shoulder. Telepathically telling me to calm down and that he will get his. Cannot help it, how dare he say it was saddening when he was the one who orchestrated the whole thing.
"You see son Ellies mother didn't die. She was in bad shape don't get me wrong, but Connor went back to the scene. She was barely breathing, but he took her with him to his house and healed her. Been keeping her in the basement for his enjoyment all these years." He huffs out a laugh.
Sick son of a bitch both! Wait Ellies mother is alive? I could have sworn she wouldn't have made it that night. However, Connor is a brilliant warlock. I'm sure if she was breathing in the slightest, he could bring her back. I just don't want to know what she's been through all these years at the hands of that cruel and evil bastard.
"So, we've been using her for her gifts. To see the future, and all that. Turns out she seen her daughter make it past her twenty first birthday. Imagine us surprised when we thought she died all those years ago." He looks at me almost as though he's begging for me to slip.

To tell him how I saved her that night. He can give me that stern look all he wants. I'm not a young kid anymore. It doesn't intimidate me. Doesn't faze me in the least. I give him my most handsome smile conveying just that to him.
There's silence for what feels like hours though I'm sure are only minutes. He rolls his eyes in annoyance at my silence. Standing from the chair he buttons up his suit jacket.
Looking to me he tells me they'll let themselves out, but to remember he will be watching us all carefully. Not realizing it, I make him almost trip over himself, and try not to laugh as he grabs onto Connor's shoulder so he can catch himself. So, he doesn't fall face first into my newly polished floor.
He turns to me with rage in his eyes. "Listen to me boy, I know you had something to do with it. You're the reason that abomination isn't extinguished like she should be." He points his finger at me.
Behind him all his men have their hands at the ready. In case blood will be spilt tonight. "I know you are hiding her and believe me when I say I will find her. Now, instead of making it short and painless. I will be making sure the job is done myself. And you know how I like to play with my victims." He smiles so large you can see all his white teeth.
"Be extremely careful with how you talk to me. If I, were you father," I spit out the title like its poison shooting out of my mouth, "I wouldn't threaten her if I were you."
I stand from my chair. Staring the monster across the room from me down with menace in my eyes. "Because as you know I'm not a boy anymore. You have no control where I'm concerned. And no power over what I do. If anything, you should be kissing my feet, and worshipping the ground I walk on."
Making my way to him I get right in his face, "because you and I. Hell everyone in this room knows what I'm capable of. And when she comes into full power, you know we will be unstoppable."
Taking a step back his answer chills me to the bone. "You are sure she'll still want you when she finds out it's your own father that wanted her dead all those years ago. When she finds out my blood runs through your veins?" The evilest of laughs drips from his lips. The noise feels like acid hitting my skin.
"I'll be sure she knows I'm nothing like you. Now," I get so close to his face our noses almost touch. "Get your men and get off my estate before I get angry mother fucker."
His arm goes up, with momentum to hit me, but Connor catches it. They must have a conversation just between the two of them because they just look at one another. My father drops his arm and steps back. He gives me one last glare and marches his stupid ass from my home.
"So, he knows that Ellie is alive, but how?" Martin's voice brings me back to the present.
"Her mother never died in the crash. Connor, the twisted fucker went back for her. She was still breathing. He healed her and made her his own personal toy all these years." Tony answers for me.
"Fuck." Martin shouts as he turns and punches the wall behind him. I don't stop him; I know this is hurting him just as much as me. Ellies mother and his were best friends. She was more like an aunt to him when he was a kid. I know he needs a moment to get his anger in check, so we let him be.
"Tony, I need all of our men here. Ellie is about to go into transition soon. I won't be able to be alert during the process. I'll be too occupied with her needs for the next few days." He gives me a nod.
For a few minutes we all just stand in my office in silence. Letting the events of the day sink in. It may be well into the evening, but the stress of my day isn't close to being finished. I still need to talk to Ellie about everything. Before midnight hits because once her powers come into full force there won't be any talking between the two of us.
My woman won't be able to focus on her own name let alone all the information I need to tell her. Hell, some of it I just found out myself today. This is going to be tough to hear for her, and before I go to her, I need to chill the fuck out.
She will need me now more then ever. So, I need one more glass of scotch before I go upstairs to our room, and we have this talk. I step over the broken glass and pour us all a glass. Think we could all use a drink. Handing it to Tony, he sucks it down.
Making my way to Martin, I step up to his side carefully. I know right now one wrong move and he could go ballistic. Not that I would blame him in any way. Hell, if he takes it out on me and throws a swing I won't even swing back.
Hold the glass out to him. He looks at it like it for a moment before he snatches it from my hand and drinks it down in one large gulp. He gives me a slight nod and hands the glass back to me. Giving him one in return I make my way back to the bar.
Before I reach it, I get this strange feeling in my gut. Something is about to happen. I look to the clock and see its already 10:30p.m. I figure it out just as we hear Ellie give off a scream.
None of us take even a second, we are out the door and up the stairs. Running into the master bedroom we find Ellie on the bed holding her stomach and screaming in pain. I go to her, as I approach the side of the bed, she looks up.
Before I can utter a word, her arms are reaching for me. She pulls me down to her and kisses me like a woman starved for affection. I know what she needs, and apparently so does Martin and Tony. They leave the room.
Hearing the door close behind them, I gradually lay her body down to her back. My body lands on top of hers. We kiss like we need each other. As though if we stop our world will end as we know it. Knowing we need to talk, I break the kiss, and place my forehead to hers. She's breathing erratically.
"I know what you need baby. It's almost time, but do you think you can have a serious talk with me before hand?" I ask in desperation.
She looks at me with tears in her eyes. I know she's feeling the start of pain. Her powers are growing slowly, but once midnight hits, they'll grow more rapidly. She gives me a little nod, and I close my eyes.
Putting my head into her neck I sniff her hair. The smell of her calms me. Makes my body relax. Which I will need to be to have this discussion.
"Just let me tell you everything before you say a word, is that all right?" Holding my breath, I await her answer.
"Okay, you have my word I won't say a thing until you've told me everything." I hear her say. Her answer gives me hope. Hope that I can make her understand that I'm not a monster. I'm not evil like my father and his men. Hopefully, she'll come to realize that when I tell her everything.
