《Cute but Psycho (Emmett Cullen)》Chapter Twelve

Going back to school, Piper was more tired than usual. She had stayed up most of the night listening to the newest Lil Wayne album, Tha Carter II, which she had been waiting for forever. She absolutely loved Lil Wayne, Eminem, and other rappers like them, but she also loved rock music, such as Linkin Park and Green Day, and alternative music like Pink and Avril Lavigne. She also liked boy bands, such as N'SYNC, Backstreet Boys, and Boys II Men, but her absolute favorite was classic rock, such as Guns n Roses, ACDC, and Motley Crue.
"You look terrible." Bella said, causing Piper to chuckle humorlessly.
"Thanks, Bells." She replied, and Bella blushed slightly.
"I-I didn't mean it like that." Bella stuttered, this time Piper actually laughed.
"I know, I was just messin'. Besides, I do know I look tired, but it was because I stayed up forever last night listening to Lil Wayne's newest album." Piper said, causing Bella to roll her eyes.
"You and your music, Piper." Bella murmured, and Piper grinned childishly.
Piper knew she sometimes had an excessive obsession with music, but that'd never stop her from celebrating her passion. She was very passionate about her music, even if she only listened to it, not wrote it or produced it. After breakfast, Bella and Piper headed to school. Piper went to meet up with Mark and Paige, but Rosalie grabbed her before she could get over to her other friends.
"Emmett's been waiting on you." Rosalie said, causing Piper to nod.
Rosalie practically dragged Piper over to her family, and Piper wondered if it was because Rosalie didn't like Mark and Paige. Mark and Paige were different, but Piper wondered if Rosalie and her family were as judgemental as everyone else in the school seemed to be.

"Hey, Piper!" Alice exclaimed, as she pulled the older Swan girl into a hug.
"Hello, Alice." Piper replied, smiling slightly.
"Who's the person on your shirt?" Jasper asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Only my favorite rapper of all time. He's literally a god to the rap game. If it wasn't for him, none of the white rappers out today would be famous. I've bought every one of his albums." Piper said, causing the others to laugh at her enthusiasm.
"You sure are passionate." Dylan murmured, and Piper grinned.
"I can totally show you guys some of his music." Piper suggested, causing the others to shrug.
"Sure, you can show us some of your favorite musicians." Emmett stated, making Edward groan.
"You've unleashed a beast." He replied, shaking his head.
"As if." She retorted, glaring at Edward.
The siblings and Piper headed into school and went to their first class. As Piper and Emmett sat next to each other in class, Emmett could tell that Piper was exhausted.
"What's got you so tired?" He asked, making her sigh.
"I stayed up kost of the night listening to Tha Carter Two, which I won't expect you to know. It's by another one of my favorite artists, Lil Wayne to be exact. The album dropped last night, so I bought it and listened to it two or three times before I decided to go to sleep." Piper replied, causing Emmett to shake his head with an amused smile.
"What time was that?" He asked, and she grinned sleepily.
"I don't know, maybe two or three." She answered, making him laugh.
"Is something amusing, Mr. Cullen?" The teacher asked, causing Emmett to shake his head.
"No, sir. Sorry, sir." Emmett replied, trying to keep himself from smiling.

Piper tried to pay attention throughout the school day, but she really couldn't keep herself awake. She had decided that the album was more than worth it, but that didn't stop her from being tired and not paying attention. She already knew so much though, that not paying attention at all for one day wasn't going to change anything. She barely paid attention as is, so it really wasn't much different.
After school ended, Piper headed towards ber car with Emmett following beside her. He seemed to always be where she was now, except for when she was at home. She didn't seem him as often when she was at home, but he wasn't creepy like Edward, so he also didn't sneak into her room at night to watch her sleep. Piper had gotten up to get herself a water bottle one night, and she checked on Bella like she would do anytime she got up in the middle of the night, and she swore she seen Edward in Bella's room.
Edward had been in Bella's room that night, but he almost freaked out when Piper had seen him. Luckily she was half asleep, so she didn't notice him well. She had to look twice to make sure, and that gave Edward the chance to sneak away without being noticed again. He believed if Piper would've seen him, she would've alerted Charlie, as well as either attacking him for being in her little sister's room while she was asleep--looking like a complete creepy stalker--or she would've contacted one of his siblings, getting him in even more trouble.
Anyhow, as they were walking to the car, Piper heard tires screeching. She quickly turned around to seen her sister almost get hit by the van driven by Tyler Crowley.
"Bella!" Piper yelled, as she ran towards her sister.
Emmett watched her for a moment, before running back over to his family. Each sibling glared at Edward for saving Bella. They didn't want her dead, but they also didn't want Edward exposing them in front of so many humans. If they were caught by humans, the Volturi would have to dispose of all of the humans. In which case, it would be too suspicious for everyone.
"You're such an idiot." Emmett said, making Edward frown.
Emmett would protect Piper from the world, but he wouldn't expose himself in front the entire school. He couldn't lose her, but he didn't want both her and himself killed for exposing a secret so big...

The First Magician
James died from touching something he, in hindsight, should definitely not have. As luck would have it, he was reborn into a world with magic, levels, skills, and stats. Just like an RPG! The most curious thing about this new world was that magic had only existed for thirty years. What kind of life will James lead in a world filled with monsters, dungeons, and magic? Usually will update Wednesday and Saturday, but there's always the chance I haven't gotten around to writing in a while so there may be a break. Additionally, I intend to edit heavily between arcs.
