《Cute but Psycho (Emmett Cullen)》Chapter Sixteen

Piper still hung out with Rosalie and Alice during the weekend, as well as meeting the Cullen family formally. The encounter was a little awkward, since Bella had decided not to eat, but nonetheless it wasn't too horrible. Piper loved to food Esme cooked, and she was given the leftovers to feed to Charlie, since Charlie seemed to eat diner food often when Bella or Piper didn't cook.
After meeting the family, Emmett seemed to show Piper off more. He walked her to and from each class, he sat with her at lunch, and he would drive her to and from school every day. The only days she knew he wouldn't would be the sunny days, since he would have to stay home so no one could see that he and his family were different.
Piper loved the entire family though, since they were some of the nicest people she had ever met. Carlisle was very friendly, and since Piper liked to learn about medicine, he'd send home different things for her to read when she wanted them. He even sent her a couple of his own medical journals, since he knew the girl was responsible and she'd never mess them up.
Esme reminded Piper of a mother. She cooked meals, and was always making sure her children were happy and having a good day. She also broke up quite a few arguments, which really pointed out that she was very motherly. Piper wished Esme was her mother. Well, Piper loved her mother, but Esme was definitely a much better mother, at least to her anyway.
Rosalie was a tomboy, but with amazing fashion sense. She could fix any car, but she also wore Louis Vuitton heels often when she did it. Honestly, Rosalie was a person many girls aspired to be, but they'd never quite make it. She was an icon in her true form, and Piper loved her for it.

Alice was sweet and fairy-like. Honestly, she was small like a pixie, with short hair, and an extravagant attitude. Piper wondered if she was always happy like that, even in bad situations, but she figured if Alice was always happy, than at least someone would help brighten a room when things weren't the best. She was very sweet too, and Piper doubted anyone could hate Alice, even if she was eccentric.
Jasper was different, but he was definitely an old soul. He helped Piper often in history class, and sometimes she just ask him about how life was back then. He reminded her of a cowboy, even though cowboys weren't around anymore. When Jasper described his life and the way he dressed, Piper was sure he was a cowboy, he just didn't like admitting that he had fallen into that stereotype like all the other men of that era. He liked to believe he wasn't one of the bank robbing, bar fighting, women snatching cowboys, and Piper believed him completely.
Edward wasn't amazing, but he was nice. He agreed to try teaching Piper piano, since she had wanted to learn from a young age. He knew that if he was close to her, than she would help him understand Bella more. Bella was her sister, so if both sisters liked him; one more than the other, than he'd have a better chance with their father accepting him like he seemed to accept Emmett.
Dylan was different as well, but he was a nice guy. He was more closed off, but it happened to do with his laid back attitude. Many jokes were thrown between him and his brothers, but when it came to the girls, he tried to be as cool and collected as possible. He wanted to be the guy that everyone believed had his head correctly on his shoulders. He wanted to be the guy people came to for advice, and it seemed he was making a good effort at being that guy.

Emmett was definitely Piper's favorite, obviously, and she had many good things to say about him. He was her best friend. She practically loved him with her entire heart, and she'd do anything for him. He was her world, and she was his. If anyone even wondered who the perfect couple was, it was definitely pointed at them with the answer. They were everyone's favorite couple.
The family adored Piper, especially since she was very different to the girls they seen around Forks. She would dress differently. She didn't care about how people seen her or talked about her. She carried herself as if she had no care in the world, even if the weight of the entire world was on her shoulders. She was practically perfect in her own unique way.
Anyhow, as Piper listened to the rain pitter patter on the window in her bedroom, she couldn't help but sigh with content. It was a Friday, and school had just gotten out an hour ago. She loved relaxing in her room after school, unless she was off with Emmett or Rosalie and Alice. She liked adventures as well, so she'd take them up on any adventure she was given.
The sound of the rain made the girl a little tired, but she refused to sleep. Soon, she'd need to make dinner, and she knew if she fell asleep, she'd never wake up until the next morning. She also knew if she fell asleep without eating, she'd wake up beyond hungry in the morning. One could almost say she was hangry in the morning when she didn't eat the night before.
Piper was a one in a million girl. She could stand out in a crowd if she wanted to, but in reality, she was just being herself. She was happy with who she was. She was living her happy, human life, no matter what anyone had to say about it. Even the meanest of people could complain, and she'd turn a blind eye, simply to stay her happy self a little longer...

Legends of Balarel - A Leisurely LitRPG
Glenn Redwood has longed to become an Adventurer since he was a young boy, and has focused every waking moment on that goal since turning 14. Answering the challenge of the Gods of Balarel, he has fought Monsters, Leveled, and grown stronger. Yet the day before his 16th birthday, the day he will earn his dream or lose it forever ... the Gods have made a wager. And no mere mortal wishes to draw the attention of the Gods. ***** This is my crack at writing a leisurely LitRPG. My focus is more on telling interesting stories set in a world where people live under a MMORPG-like ruleset enforced by the Gods, and less on writing another story where the MC gets massive stat boosts every chapter before heading off to wreck the world. There will be plenty of blue tables (it’s LitRPG!) but my Adventurers are just starting out. This fic is about the journey, not the destination, so expect everyone to Level ... leisurely. Updates: M-T-W-Th. I’ll post 3000-4000 words a day, or 12000-15000 words a week. If this posting pace ends up being too much for me, I reserve the right to slow posts down a bit. Inspirations: Blessed Time (Royal Road) Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? (Anime) Trails in the Sky (JRPG Series) MC: My MC is a genuinely good person who’s both a talented warrior and tactically savvy. He prefers to solve problems without violence but will resort to force if necessary to protect his friends or innocent people. I’m tired of stories starring anti-hero MCs facing endless doom and gloom, so I wanted to write a nice guy with an adventurous spirit who helps people in a thriving fantasy world. That’s all.

MCU Oneshots and Novellas
My back catalogue of shorter MCU fanfiction. Most are focused on Loki, Thor and Odin, but the other Avengers also show up on occasion. 1. Shadows of the Past Yet Loom:Thor thought he had grown out of his childhood stutter long ago, but to his distress, the speech impediment resurfaces shortly after he's crowned as king of Asgard. Loki tries to cheer Thor up. [set between Ragnarok and Infinity War] 2. Another Sleepless Night Thor has brought Loki back to Asgard and Odin has pronounced his sentence – Loki is to spend the rest of his days in the dungeons. Truths, Lies and Bilgesnipes There are children you can leave unsupervised for an afternoon without courting danger. To Odin's consternation, the two young princes of Asgard are not that kind of children. With Frigga absent and Odin distracted with the minutia of government, Thor and Loki sneak out of the palace on a bilgesnipe hunt. Their short adventure leaves Loki badly injured. But the physical injury is not as potent a force as the secrets Odin is determined to protect or Loki’s desperate need to live up to his father’s expectations. 4. Dear Mr. Thanos The trouble with the universe is that it doesn't want to be balanced. In fact, it requires regular pruning. In the year 2327 the Infinity War is a distant memory and Ariadne Thornton has some questions for the dark spectre that has haunted the universe for the past three hundred years. [post Infinity War, not Endgame compliant] 5. Not A Place But A People For a time, dreams of peace and safety can sustain a people lost in the wilderness.
