《The Insemination》Chapter Thirty

Looking back and forth between Noah and Amelia, I growl in frustration. "What the hell is going on?"
Noah sighs again and looks around. "We all need to take a seat."
"This is not something we need to discuss around my best friends hospital bed," Amelia says crossing her arms.
"This room is sound proof. The doctor told me that she will not wake up for a few hours from now. The only thing she can do is react to pain my flinching or moving a little. He gave her something that will allow her to rest. That gives us enough time to clear the air before she wakes up."
Being the first to walk to the couch, I sit down and sit back into the cushion. Rick remains standing. As everyone else takes their seat, I waist no time in trying to understand everything. "Who are you?" I ask looking at Amelia who sat on the sofa with her fiance Thomas.
"My name is Amelia Kay, and I am a Oracle. It's like being a witch but not although, I do know a few spells here and there. I focus on my visions more. They are accurate, and come in the past, present, or future. Thomas, he is a hunter. He is human. His family has been hunters since his family can remember. Since there has not been a sighting of war or humans being attacked, he is now a firefighter."
"Wow," I say sitting up as my mind is being blown. "A witch and a hunter. Here I thought you were just normal."
"I am far from normal. If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't have known that Irian was pregnant with your baby. She had no intentions of telling the father, but I saw what the future was like with her not doing that. It did not go good. I had a vision of seeing your name, so I pulled strings and had the doctor give us your information," Amelia says looking away towards the window as if she is recalling something.
"Wait," Noah says leaning forward and looking at me. "What does she mean by your baby?"
"Irina is pregnant with my child. She was artificially inseminated with my sperm, and before you say anything, no I did not plan for that to happen," I tell him.

"Your child?" Noah says with wide eyes.
"Yes!" I growl in frustration.
"No. No, no, no," Noah says as he stands on his feet and starts to pace back and forth. " What have you done? What have you done," he says looking at Amelia.
"What did I do? I told you that this was going to happen. So explain tick," she says looking at Noah with a look that can kill.
"Yeah you told me, but you didn't say who! Do you have any idea who Ezra is? What, he is?"
Shit.
"No," Amelia says taking a glance to me then back to Noah. "What is he?"
Noah sits down in his chair and runs a hand through his hair. "Care to explain Ezra?"
Looking at Amelia and Thomas, I take a deep breath. Releasing it, I say, "I am an Alpha. A hybrid Alpha. I'm the descendent of Stephan Collins. His blood runs in my vein," I tell them. I watch Amelia Thomas's eyes grow wide.
"Oh shit," Amelia says as her mouth hangs open. "Your a Hybrid? That means if you drink the blood of a vampire you can turn into a full hybrid. The only people that can become a hybrid are those born into the bloodline. My best friend is pregnant with your baby!" she says shooting out of her seat. "What have I done? They will come for her! They will do anything to kill that baby!" I shout.
"You do not think that I know that?" I growl. "Why do you think the second I found out that she wasn't lying about being pregnant with my baby I wanted her to move in? Now look at her," I say pointing to her. "The hunters, vampires, and even wolves that were threatened by hybrids found majority of them and killed them before my time. Every time someone gets pregnant, they kill the baby before or after it's born. So, Noah, tell me what you know before I rip your damn head off."
"You do not have to worry about who hit her. That person is dead. The moment I saw them crash into her, I ripped their heart from their chest before your watch dogs had the chance to do so. I blame myself for not getting the chance to stop the crash. It was a rouge. He told me he had information from someone that a girl was pregnant with a hybrids baby. The person paid him to get rid of it," Noah says looking angry.

"Who was the person?" Thomas asks sitting up in his seat.
"He died before he could tell me," Noah says looking as if he wants to rip my head off.
"Then we have nothing! You must've gone soft," I growl.
"Soft my ass. You need to keep her safe. I thought it was a mistake, Irina being pregnant. Until little miss sunshine Amelia said something about it," Noah says sitting back in his seat.
Feeling my blood boil pass a level I cannot tolerate, I bolt from my seat and start pacing back and forth like a mad dog. "If he knew, then others know. I'm going to kill them," I say out loud as I clinch my fist.
"There's the Ezra I know," Noah grins. "Yes. Kill them all that tried to kill your baby and your baby's mother. Revenge is what you are all about. I know that better than anyone."
"Shut up Noah," Rick growls.
"Why don't we use this to our advantage," Thomas says leaning back.
"I like where your head is baby," Amelia says crossing her arms. "But how?"
"Just hear me out," Thomas says. "Who else knows that Irina isn't dead? If you can get her out with nobody knowing, we can keep her safe."
Walking to the sofa, I sit back down and think of what Thomas says. What if the rouge told others about Irina? Who knows what they or who is scheming.
"You are starting to warm up to me Thomas," I say with a wicked grin.
"So, dog boy," Amelia says that makes me snap my attention to her and glare at her. "Your a dog. Get use to being called one by me. As I was about to say, can't you see if her baby is still alive?"
Realizing that I have yet to focus on that, I sit up straight and my eyes wander to Irina's body that is still laying on the bed sound asleep. I stand up slowly from the sofa, and walk to her. Hearing shuffling behind me, I look over my shoulder and see everyone behind me.
I look at her pulse on the monitor and listen to her heart beat. Her heartbeat is a bit louder now with more constant beats. Walking closer to the bed, I lean over here and fight the tears that want to come, just from seeing her in such pain. Moving my body over to her stomach, I lean down and place my ear to her stomach. Slowly breathing in, I listen for the baby's heart.
I hear nothing.
Feeling my heart sink, I raise my head, and in the moment of doing so, I hear a small thump. My eyes widen enormously as I feel tears pouring from my eyes freely. Listening again, I hear another thump.
Lifting my body up, I blink rapidly. Turning around to them, I smile. "It's alive."
"It is?" Amelia asks with tears of her own flowing. "My god child is alive? Yes!" Amelia says as she jumps with joy and wraps her arms around Thomas.
My baby is alive. Our baby is alive. Irina, everything is going to be okay.
"So what do we do now?" Noah says breaking the cheer in the room.
"Now, we go back acting as if nothing has changed," I tell them as I wipe my eyes.
"Oh, so I get to go back to thinking you are a complete ass and not some hybrid over protective mutt? Fine by me," Amelia says.
"We need to make sure Irian doesn't suspect anything," I say rolling my eyes at Amelia. "That nobody suspects anything. Our top priority is keeping those two safe. We don't tell her anything. No matter what history we all have, as of now, it's done. Understand?"
Everyone looks at each other with questioning eyes. Hunching their shoulders, they all look at me and nod as they say in unison, "We understand."
"There's just one problem with that," Noah adds.
"Yeah?" I growl. "And what's that?"
"She has the ability to know when someone is lying to her," Amelia says.
