《The Insemination》Chapter Thirty-Five

"Irina, unlock your car door," Ezra growls for the fifth time. Two hours and a half have passed since he put me in the car, said I was permanently living with him, and we made it to his house. Glancing at the three story wide home, with a full property, I huff and sit back. Watching as the trees around the house blow from the wind, birds fly against the breeze. Crossing my arms, I look at the unlock button and grunt.
"Nobody told you to get out of the car. The only way your getting in is if your taking me back home. This is kidnapping for crying out loud!"
"Your carrying my baby. I hardly think that's kidnapping since it's mine."
"Well I'm not. Ezra, take me home!"
"Why do you insist on angering me?" He argues making my head snap to him.
"Angering you? Your the one pissing me off! I don't want to live with you for the rest of my life. I told you, we can have visitations and that is it. Now, take me home, because I don't want to sit here and argue with you! Your just making me yell, stressing me out, and both aren't good for me or the baby," I sniff. Feeling tears streaming down my cheeks, I think to use my right hand to wipe them, but I only feel pain as it is bandaged up.
"Damn it," I cry. Yawning, I feel my need to sleep growing even though it was just the afternoon.
"Irina," Ezra says in a soft voice. Looking at him, I see his eyes turning sad. Without him asking to, I unlock the door. Opening it, Ezra pulls the door open and kneels down. "I'm sorry."
"Just get me out of this car and let me sleep," I yawn. Doing so, he lifts me up and holds me bridal style. Squinting my eyes from the sun peeking from behind the clouds, I grunt. Resting my head on his chest, I hear Ezra's heartbeat racing. As if it is a rhythm meant for my ears, my eyes go heavy.
Looking down at her sleeping body, I sigh at myself for being so selfish. I don't even see how she can put up with me. Maybe I am an ass.
"Alpha," Rick says jogging out of the house. "Shit," he says noticing Irina in my arms.
"It's fine. She's asleep. Is her room ready?" I ask once he makes it to me.
"Yes. But, what are you going to do about Yuri?" He asks looking at me with concerning eyes.
"Don't worry. I have a plan."
"You have no plan," he states matter of fact. "She is going to kill you."
"Not if I kill her first. She tried to put me under a spell to mark her. And I was so close to doing it until you barged in and snapped me out of it. Rick, I almost marked her," I said making him understand the level of how important this was.

"Wow. She's getting crafty. That's worse than the hole in condom trick she tried on you. Ezra, I told you the second she got here that she was trouble. Do you really want to rule with this woman? Do you even love her?"
Finally making it to the door, I stop and look at my best friend. "No. I've just been tolerating her. Yuri is in no way fit to be a queen. It's just this thing with her family."
"Finally glad to hear you say it yourself. I'm going to go check on Jake. If I hear things starting to break, I'll just be outside," he jokes.
Laughing, Rick opens the door to us finding Yuri standing in front of the stair case. I watch as Yuri's eyes go wide and turn black. "What the fuck is this?"
Looking at his body, his hands are chained together as they are held against his head and his legs are chained to the floor. Looking at his bruised bloody body, I punch Jim in his ribs.
"Ah man," Jim grunts waking up. "What the hell was that for?"
"Because it's time for me to kill you," I say looking into his eyes.
"W-wait! Terry! It was Terry. He gave me the tip and I did it all on my own."
"And why is that?"
"Fifty years ago, he murdered my father," Jim sneers.
"Wasn't your father feeding off of little girls?" I ask tilting my head to the side.
"That's not the point."
"Where did this Terry get his information?"
"I don't know."
Balling up my fist, I punch Jim in the nose. Hearing a cracking noise, I grin. "Okay. Let's try this again. Where did Terry get his information?"
"I don't know Noah. I swear!"
Punching him again, I continue to do so over and over until blood starts to pool from his mouth. "Jim, I feel like your holding back on me. Are you sure you want to do that?"
"I swear," Jim says coughing up more blood. "He told me that he go the information from a friend and that's it. He told others too. I'm not sure how many. That's all I know Noah. I swear on my life," he coughs.
"I hope so," I say ripping his heart out. Dropping it on the floor, I look at his lifeless body. "
"Brandy," I call.
Walking in comes a woman in red heels, black skin tight jeans, a red shirt, a black leather jacket, and long jet black hair to go good with her brown skin. "Ah, there you are Brandy. Get Dave to clean this up when he gets back for me."
"Did he give you anything?"
"Terry. The only Terry he ever hung out with was a vampire. But, my only problem is that apparently whoever told Terry, Terry told others. Hun didn't know who, just that Terry told him."

"So, what exactly does that mean?" she asks looking down at Jim still bleeding out.
"It means, a lot more people are going to die," I smile.
"She's not dead. Neither is my baby," I tell her while I still carry Irina to her room.
"Yeah? Well no shit!" She shouts pointing to Irina still asleep in my arms.
"Keep your voice down," I growl. Finally up the steps, I walk down the hall with her still in my arms and turn left.
"Why did you lie to me? Are you crazy? Why would you keep this away from me?"
"I had to make sure you weren't the one that tried to kill her," I say.
Yuri scoffs. "Th-that is ridiculous! Why would you have thought such a thing?"
"That doesn't matter now," I tell her as I finally make it to her room.
"How long?"
"How long what?"
"You know what I'm asking Ezra. How long is she going to be here for? Tell me," she growls standing in the doorway.
Gently placing Irina in the soft king size bed, I look at her rest and smile. "Damn it Ezra, tell me!" She shouts. My smile fades.
Walking to the door, I grab her arm, march her out, and close the door behind us. "Until she dies or kills herself from hating me for keeping her here. Whichever comes last."
"What? No," Yuri growls, pushing me in my chest. "Put her ass back out this house, or I will do it for you."
"Yuri, we can talk about this. We can compromise. At least until the baby is born. People are out trying to kill her and my child, I have to keep her safe," I plead.
Yuri steps close to me with hard eyes and growls. "No. She is leaving. Even if I have to do it myself." Turning around, Yuri walks to the door and grabs the handle. Rushing to Yuri, I grab her hand. "Let go of me!" She growls as she pushes me hard.
Growing angry, I grip Yuri by her neck and push her against he door. Snarling, I look Yuri in her eyes. I see fear. "Don't you ever put your hands on me or Irina. If you do, I will make sure you regret it for the rest of your life."
Hearing Yuri gasp for air, I release her neck and she falls to the floor. Coughing, I hear footsteps coming. "Manners Ezra," she says coming into view.
"Ah, Mother. You and I have to have a very important talk that I feel is long overdue. And, if you don't give me an answer I feel like I need to hear, you won't be happy."
*****
"Did you really have to choke the poor thing out?" my mother asks me once we're inside my study.
"Did you really have to get this poor girl pregnant with my sperm?" I ask sitting in my chair.
"How did you know?" she asks looking at me with a smile.
"Amelia. Name ring a bell?"
"It sure does. She's an Oracle. Very strong one at that. Her aunt is a witch. Her bloodline helped this family for generations. Well, your bloodline. One day, she told me what needed to be done. Years ago I told you the doctors to get your sperm because some tests had to be done. Well, that's what it was for."
"To impregnate someone?" I growl bolting up from my chair.
"She needed to be pregnant. Your next generation needs to be born. You need her. Charlie never told me what was so special about her. Just how important she is."
"Okay. We are going to talk about this later. Right now, I need to figure out who's trying to kill her."
*****
Shifting in the bed, I roll over to feel my face hit a pillow. Opening my eyes, I slowly blink at the sun's rays blasting through the curtain. Lifting my head up, I find myself in a bed I don't recall. Trying to think back, I rub my eyes and stretch.
Moving the covers back, I get out of the bed and walk to the bay window. Pulling back the vanilla colored curtains, I look at the vibrant green yard with multicolor leaves in the trees.
"That's right. Ezra moved me in and said I have to live here forever without my permission." Moving from the bay window, I turn around to really see how big the room is. "This is almost like my apartment in one. What the hell?"
Noticing a door to my left, I walk to it and open it to a walk in closet full of a new wardrobe. "Wow." Looking at the clothes, I look at the size and notice there my exact size. Tracing my fingers across the fabric clothing, I notice a light switch. Skipping to it, I turn it on to a room full of all types of shoes. "Oh my gosh!"
Spinning around, I look up at the crystal chandeliers on the ceiling. "Ezra, just who are you?" Looking around at the shoes, I notice a full body sized mirror and stop. Stopping, I stare at my reflection. "What the hell?"
Looking at my reflection, I walk closer, speechless. Looking at the cast and bandages on my body, I notice nothing was hurting. My body wasn't in pain. My limbs wasn't screaming in agony at me. Walking closer to the mirror, I see my bruises on my face and arms gone.
Panicking, I start taking off the bandages and cast. Freaking out, I look as my body has no cuts, no bruises, and no marks. My eyes go wide from shock. "What the hell is going on?"

War of Seasons
Dorothea Atlin is the young, apathetic leader of the neutral territory of Sirpo, a chilly land hovering above the continuously warring factions of Sacer and Ghuria, whose devastating magics have ravaged their people and lands time and time again. Following a shocking attack and a cruel deception, Dorothea grows her conscience and takes up arms, using her self-destructive ability to manipulate the flow of time to ensure Sacer’s victory. Her growing understanding of war and the two factions is guided by Iree Nobelis, the determined and enthralling commander of Sacer’s forces, Ariana Kingfisher, a steely swordswoman of mixed Ghurian and Sacerian descent, and Rhys Tamlin, a kind but haunted soldier who goes to challenge Dorothea’s self-imposed celibacy and join her on a mutual journey of healing from the tragic legacies of the Atlin family and wars between the nations. Meanwhile, Dorothea’s only friend and deserter from the Sacerian military, Shark Olyen, returns to their homeland to face the family that disowned them and finds more than they bargained for in meeting Cerid Creed, a noble whose duty to his people clashes with his desires in romance and in life, much like Shark’s did long before. As their developing or preexisting loves and differing convictions on how to achieve peace create rifts between these major players, Dorothea experiences a personal revolution that leads her to fight for what she believes is right, no matter the cost. A slow-burn story that takes time setting up the psychology and motivations of characters for explosive payoff later down the line.
