run;
"Run!" Hoseok yells, spinning backward. Jimin latches onto your wrist, pulling you as he ran. The dogs barked loudly, growling, and hissing. You could almost feel the heat from their mouths.
Jungkook runs ahead, stopping as he reached the end of the hallway. "Hoseok! Which way?" Jungkook spilled out hurriedly. "Left, left!" Jungkook ran, leaving the three of you behind. They were hot on your heels, however, you were faster. Letting out puffs of air, you panted out, "What's Jungkook doing?"
Jimin's grip on your hand tightened as the footstep neared both of you. "Finding an escape route" he answered, panting softly. Hoseok was ahead of the both of you, speeding ahead. It was like a maze. Every ten seconds, you'd turn right, or left. The corridor was narrow, which gave you an advantage.
Titling your head to the side, you managed to catch a glimpse of what was going on. Hong Guk was in the lead, a nasty smirk plastered on his face as he locked gazes with you. Most of the other demons were jogging. Some of them turned even redder, placing one hand on the wall, the other on their thighs, panting harshly. A few mixes of green and purple demons were holding onto the leash of the dogs, letting out deep breathes as they ran. The black demons were further back. Many doors flew by you as you ran down the hallway.
You wondered where exactly were you. Jungkook had now disappeared from your sight. Hoseok was keeping up with him, miles away from Jimin and you. "Be quick you delightful skunks!" Hong Guk yells out in frustration. "Don't worry, he's not laying a finger on you. Not on my watch," Jimin growls, pulling you ahead.
Your heart thumped faster. However, you knew it wasn't from all the running. There it was, a change. Hope sparked in your orbs as you ran up the steps. The stairs were short and it led you into a field-like room. Jungkook and Hoseok were now gone.

The area was empty and filled with computers, glass, and wires. Jimin pulled you into the computer-filled room, and magically, Jungkook and Hoseok appeared. Jungkook was frantically typing on the keyboard, while Hoseok was peering over his shoulders, trying to catch his breath.
What just happened?
Footsteps echoed down the hallway, and Hong guk appeared on the other side of the glass pane. Fear engulfed your heart. You stuttered, panting as you pointed at them. You could barely make out any words.
Jimin was facing you, cupping your cheeks in his hands. He placed a finger over your lips, signaling you to keep quiet. "Where are they?!" Hong Guk stomps his feet in vexation. The other demons came piling up behind him, panting. The dogs barked, saliva flying out of their mouths. One of them made eye contact with you, seething hatefully. However, the demons paid no attention to them.
"They couldn't just disappear. Half of you, check over there. The other half of you, check the doors that we ran past. Beom Jin, come with me." He grumbled, screaming out orders. "Just amazing! The lot of you better find the girl! Boss wants her! Find her, or you'll be boiled in hellfire!" Hong Guk threatens.
They.. couldn't see us?
Your gaze left them, moving up to meet Jimin's. The male removes his finger. You could still hear your heart pumping. However, you couldn't determine whether it was from all that running. "T-They," you gasped, still unable to absorb all that. "Jungkook did something to the glass panes," Hoseok whispered, placing a finger over his lips, "As long as we don't make any noise, they won't realise we're in here."
"But, they're here for me. Not for you." you inhaled, looking from Hoseok, Jungkook, to Jimin. "You have them now, Jimin. I'll distract them. Find your friends and leave, okay? They can't do anything to me. There should be some laws here. Go, leave the rest to me." you whispered, heading towards the glass door.

Jimin pulls you back, irritation clearly expressed in his orbs. His brows pulled together, lips forming a frown. "What do you think of me, y/n? I need you. It doesn't matter if I have them. You started this with me, you're going to end it with me. I'm not going to ditch you or leave you to filthy demons. You're mine now, Kang Y/n." Jimin rasped out.
Your heart skipped a beat.
"It's dangerous, I'll just distract them from... whatever you're planning," you breathed out. His gaze was so intense, filled with fury, that it took your breath away. You're mine now, Kang Y/n. You gulped as his words repeated over and over in your head, like a broken recorder. How did he know your surname?
"You're part of us now, Y/n. We don't just leave our family," Hoseok smiled softly at you. "That's right tulips, it's not that easy to get rid of us. Sacrificing yourself wouldn't be worth it. Besides, you're like an extra hand. It sounds great, am I right?" Jungkook grins, smiling like a little bunny.
"You'll just need my hand. Shall I chop it off for your use?" you joked, raising an eyebrow. "That was lame," Jimin rolled his eyes, letting go of you. He clearly wasn't over what you said. "Jimin," you held his shoulder. "I want to help too. The three of you can fight, and it seems as if you've been protecting me all the time. I want to do something too," you explained.
"You can do something, y/n. But don't go around saying shit like that. Promise me you won't sacrifice yourself. Besides, by being here, you're already doing something." Jimin frowns.
You winced, pain shooting through your heart as your actual name rolled off his tongue. Yet at the same time, you felt as if you've been diagnosed with diabetes. "I won't. But let me do something, please? I feel like a burden." you mumbled, tilting your head downwards.
Jimin placed his hand under your chin, lifting it. "Promise me, chicky." his gaze was lighter, softer. And your heart melted at the sight. "Only if the three of you do too." you let out. "I promise!" Jungkook squeaks up, holding out his hand.
"Promise!" Hoseok giggled, putting his hand above Jungkook. You moved away from Jimin, holding out your hand. Placing it on top of Hoseok's, you smiled cheerfully, "I promise." The three of you were now glancing at Jimin, who stood at his spot, stunned.
Trudging over, he mumbles, "I promise," Then, he placed his hands over yours. "Let's go!" Jungkook squeals as Jimin pushed your stack of hands downwards. "Yeah!" Hoseok shouts, throwing his hands in the air. Jimin immediately cups his hand over the older's mouth, eyes widening. "Oh shit, should we start running?" Jungkook gulped.
Hong Guk and Beom Jin had their eyes in our direction.
"Let's go before they find out," Jungkook whispered, tiptoeing out of the room. He walks towards the other glass pane, the one opposite to Hong Guk and Beom Jin. However, as the youngest walked towards that direction, he tripped over a can of beer. The four of you swallowed thickly as your eyes widened.
"uh oh," Jimin muttered in tiny. Uh oh indeed. "We found them!" the Beom Jin guy hollered, running in our direction. He was more human-looking, but he had sharp horns trailing down his back and two long ones on top of his head.
"RUN!" Hoseok shrieks, pulling open the glass doors. The chase began.
