the grinch ;
Gunshots reverberated in the air, the echoes constantly ringing in your ears. Hissing softly, you clasped your hand over your ears. Your head was buried in Jimin's chest, Jimin's arms wrapped around you as he muttered sugar-sweet words into your ears.
One hand around your waist, the other rubbing circles on your back. The sight you had witnessed when you entered the room was disgusting, torturous, and inhuman. Hoseok had rushed the both of you, resulting in you two having no time to discuss what exactly had you relived in your head.
The boys, who were far ahead of you, had found Namjoon. Like the way you had found Jin, Namjoon was serving his punishment in the torture. The room was purplish-black, giving you the creeps. Every hair on your skin stood still as you sneaked in on your toes. "Y/n, you might want to protect your ears," Hoseok warns. But before you could react, the blasting sound of gunshots filled the silence, causing you to flinch.
The room was like a maze. When you entered, it was pitch black. It was spacious, yet empty. There was a tall, purple wall beside you. Behind the wall, stood a man. A man with bullets penetrating his body every second. Blood gushed out of his wounds, pooling onto the floor.
The man's body was dangling mid-air, supported by metal chains hung around his neck, wrists, and ankles. Every shot sent the male jerking backwards. His eyes were lifeless, dead. Eyebags hung under his hazelnut eyes. His wrists flop down as if he had passed out. However, you could see the light shining within him. A golden yellow ray shot through his heart as the bullets were aimed at him.
Every bullet that was shot made the light flicker. Before you could react, Jimin pulls you into his chest. Like fireworks, the sound of the trigger being pulled echoes in the dark, awful room. Hoseok had his hand clasped over his mouths, tears springing to his eyes. Jin had Jungkook's eyes covered as he watched the scene in front of him unravel.

"S-someone stop him," Hoseok stutters, breath hitching as tears trickled down his cheeks. Your heart broke at the sight - you've never seen Hoseok so heartbroken before. Even when he had talked about his sister, he hadn't reacted like this. His face was pale white, lips quivering as he stared, eyes just as lifeless as the man you assumed was Namjoon.
The bullets kept going, never stopping for more than a second. When they had run out of bullets, they'd refill it and go for round two, round three, and even more. After what felt like hours, the shooting stopped. Jimin releases you from his grasp, hand cupping your cheek to make sure you were alright. You nodded at the male the reassure him, heart warming up at Jimin's sudden action. Hoseok's lips were parted, eyes glazed over as he stood still. Jungkook had his hands clenched, dangling by his sides. Soft sobs could be heard from him. "He s-said h-he was okay, h-he sai-said it wasn't this bad. Wh-why did he lie?" Jungkook hiccuped between words, sniffling as he brought up one hand to wipe away his tears.
"Do you think he's dead?" a male, voice laced with mirth, spoke. "How can he be dead? He's a ghost, an ugly, disrespectful one," the other one snickered. A loud thump was heard, and you guessed they had released the prisoner from his restraints. "Satan's sake, he's as heavy as God's throne!" one of them cursed. "Yeah," the other snickered, "It's probably his money-loving ego and the bullets." he finished.
In a moment, Hoseok was gone. "Crabs," Jin pursed his lips, pushing Jungkook away from him. A confused Jungkook stared at Jin, who moved out of your hiding spot and into the dim lights behind the wall, where the demons were. Jungkook frowned, "Namjoon would kill him if he heard Jin say that," he mumbles, before trailing after the oldest.

"Shit, Hoseok should've thought about it before rushing in like that." Jimin curses, hand wrapping around your wrist as he drags you towards the rest of the boys. Great, you thought, more trouble. More exposure. "Who the heck are these dumbheads?" the same voice spoke, with a hint of confusion. The other demon throws Namjoon's body to the pink coloured demon. The smirking demon made his way up to Hoseok. He had two horns on the top of his head - one broken into half - while the other was long and slanted.
He was greenish, like the Grinch, who starred in How The Grinch Stole Christmas - except, now it's How The Grinch Stole Namjoon, or... whoever he stole. He was green and skinny, exactly like the Grinch. Grinch dude steps up, his nasty smirk never faltering.
"Hoseok, oh dear, Hoseok. You must've come to save your pathetic little friend. I see you brought your little friends and a counter lady!" he laughs, it was like a high pitched screech. "Let's do this the old fashion way, shall we?" he grinned wickedly. Growling deeply, Hoseok took a step back, copying the demon's action.
"Drop the guy, get back to your station, and shut up about it. This is a one-man thing between me and Hoseok, got it?" the green demon, who was facing Hoseok, orders the other pink demon who had his arms wrapped around a dying Namjoon. Nodding, the demon retreats, leaving us seven in the room. Namjoon was thrown to the side, legs and hands curling towards his body. Jin stood next to Jungkook, while Jimin stood next to you. As you waited for Hoseok, or the Grinch's, next words, you took a look around. It was like a basketball court - an empty one. One with restraints built side-to-side. The torture objects were lined up, placed on the outer lines of the so-called basketball court.
"Let the fight begin," Hoseok's gaze darkens, lips formed in a straight line as he gazed at the demon with fire in his eyes.
