"C'mon Bugaboo," He said the last part with a laugh, and then he continued. "I don't want to eat lunch all by myself, and what kind of friend would I be if I let you walk out of here without eating anything after an Akuma battle." Chat Noir said with a goofy grin.

"A Friend or something more."

The voice Ladybug heard clear as day. It was her voice, but it sounded darker than her normal monotone. Ladybug shook her head to ignore Misfortune, "Trying to cause mischief kitty?"

"Me?" Chat Noir says with a goofy grin as he scratched his head with a rose in hand, "Up to mischief?" Chat Noir leaned closer and said. "You forgot charming, handsome, and most of all, dying to kiss you."

Ladybug sighed as she had to make up an excuse to kiss him since it wasn't her. However, in that moment of pondering, Misfortune took over. Ladybug smiled and whispered. "I think I can help you there." And with that, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him on the lips. Chat Noirfelt his heart stop as their lips met, and he felt as if he had a monster in his chest, roaring in triumph. They broke apart for a second, both grinning. He leaned forward again, and as their lips met again, he let the passion and burning desire he felt for her flow through his lips, showing rather than telling her how he felt. Only moments later he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her against him. He could feel her body pressing against his, her lips on his. She then pushes him back as his earrings started beeping.

"See ya later kitty," Ladybug said as she then jumped off the roof. As soon as she did Ladybug regain control.

"Why are you back?"

"Had to thank him personally." The dark mockery of Misfortune's normal monotone sounded deadly serious, which frightened Ladybug.

"I don't know what you want with Chat, but I won't let you hurt him." Ladybug hissed to the mystery emotion.

"Why would I harm something so precious? You know our feelings for him run deeper than mere friendship." The dark voice laughed at the Idea of harming Chat Noir, though the last part she said irked Ladybug slightly.

"He is not Adrien. Me and Chat can't be together you know why we would never work in a relationship." Ladybug didn't feel like she had to hide anything from a part of herself. She just had to set the record straight.

"There only one way to prove it, Buggy," Misfortune commented.

"And I know what to do," Ladybug swung off at the Effiel tower.

"What are you up to?" Misfortune asked in confusion.

"I won't jeopardize Chat Noir's identity to prove some illusion Hawkmoth created." Ladybug argues.

"You still think this is an illusion." The voice cackled.

"Oh, you're real. But your game is with Chat Noir being Adrien. The only secret identity the matters to me is Hawkmoth."

Ladybug went back to her room and search for the miracle box she has hidden. As she was doing so, Tikki began to ask what she was doing.

"Tikki I know what I'm doing," Marinette says as she pulled out the miracle box from loose flooring.

"Marinette you need help!"Tikki insisted, "The Akuma is corrupting you."

"No, no. She not taking control. I'm going to prove it," Marinette says as she pulled out the horse miraculous.

"Marinette you have to resist the temptation."

"Tikki I can't. She already in my head," Marinette sadly admitted, "Kaalki, Tikki unified!"

Once Marinette transformed into a fusion of the Ladybug and horse miraculous the voice came back.

"Ready to prove your reality."

"It won't prove that Adrien is Chat Noir."

"So what are you proving?"

Ladybug didn't respond as she concentrated on the portal and went through. She had hoped that it was only a dream, that the portal wasn't going to work. But as soon as she steps forward she was wrong. She arrives at the catwalk.

Whereat the end was the same circular platform covered in greenery; grass covers the floor, bushes and flora decorate the platform, and what appear to be trees snake across as well as underneath the platform. A green glow emanates from underneath the platform and the cryogenic pod.

Ladybug gasps as she approached it then saw Emilie Agreste laying there.

"Now who's in denial now?" Misfortune voice came back.

"You think you should stop?" Ladybug heard Natalie's voice coming from the elevator. Lady then quickly jump behind the pod hiding in the bushes.

"No, I love her too much! This is not her intended fate." Gabriel's voice was heard responding to Natalie.

"The longer you keep him in the dark about what you're doing, the harder it'll be on him when he finds out." Natalie urges.

"I can't," Gabriel responded, "I can't lead him on with the hope that we will succeed. Only with Ladybug and Chat Noir miraculous. I can finally get my wish and we can be together. No later what she may think of me as Hawkmoth, I did it for her."

"You put him in danger every time."

"I know," Gabriel sighed, "But I can only keep him here for so long."

"One day you will succeed Gabriel," Natalie then began coughing as she kneels.

"Natalie!" Gabriel said worriedly as he rushes towards her.

"I'm fine," Natalie said as Ladybug peeked to see what was going on.

"Let's go," Gabriel said as he then started carrying her bridal style. They both then left back to the elevator. Once Ladybug felt they were gone she got out of her hiding spot and look at the pod.

"Poor Adrien," Marinette muttered as she looked at the pod to see Emilie Agreste.

"See you have to use the wish,"

"I have to tell Chat Noir," Ladybug responded towards her.

"Something wrong with Ladybug," Plagg commented.

"What do you mean? She finally admitted her feelings towards me!" Adrien said as he swoons over the photos on his computer screens.

Plagg slammed his head, "That's the problem."

"You just can't be happy for me can you?"

"Kid, you're blinded by your fantasy," Plagg said in annoyance.

"Well, ok yeah she has been acting different," Adrien admitted, "Master Fu forgetting his memories, I guess took a toll on her."

"Yeah, but something else is off with her," Plagg said in a suspicious tone.

"Plagg I think you're just exaggerating." Adrien shrugs.

"Well, I'm going to get away from your stench of romance. It ruins the taste of my camembert," Plagg says as he floated towards the window.

"Plagg doesn't get romance," He chuckles as he leans back his chair to daydream. However, as he did while looking around his furniture to see all the moth shape décor in his house. Adrien sighed as he remembered how his father destroyed his room. He then recalled the secret safe where he found the book of the miraculous heros. Ever since that incident, Adrien has been trying to get close to his father but it has only ended up with him eating alone.

"What else is father hiding?" Adrien sighed as he then heard his door knock. Adrien then got up to answer the door and when he did he found his father standing there, "Father?"

"Adrien, I am leaving out for a meeting in London tonight. I'll be back tomorrow evening. I thought I should inform you and tell you good night," Gabriel said.

"Oh, thank you," Adrien smiled lightly as his father rarely visited him, "Have a safe trip, father."

Gabriel nodded then left Adrien as he headed out. Adrien then shut his room then went to look the window to see his father drive away, "cold even with his own son." He muttered as recalled Ladybug words. Then an idea popped in his head. Adrien quickly then peaked out of his room to check if the close was clear. Gorilla was sleeping down by the front door so Adrien was able to pass him then Natalie room. While he passed her room he heard her coughing. Adrien froze as he listens to her cough. At that moment it took him back to a time when he heard that familiar cough.

He remembered his mother coughing almost two years ago. Adrien didn't notice she was sick till the day she fell off the runway. It was Adrien's debut alongside his mother as a model. He remembers that Emilie grabbed his hand and pulled him on stage with her as the entire collection was shown again for his father. They were at the end and when she rounded the corner onto the runway, there was a thunderous escalade in applause.

Adrien couldn't stop smiling. His face hurt from the extreme joy he was trying to express. The lights and the camera flashes blinded him but she could still hear the cheering, he could still see the vague silhouettes they were standing for him and his mother, he could still feel the rush of energy that took her breath away.

Emilie held his hand down the runway until they reached the end where she pulled her hand away from his grasp. He looked panicked for a moment before she mouthed "do a pose" to him. Adrien sighed as he steps forward to pose. They screamed louder for her. At that very moment, it became gasps and panic.

His mother was on her knees coughing. Adrien rushed to her as his father came on the runway to help. The moment was so fast but he remembers they made their way back up the runway, hand in hand again, Emilie gave a small wave before disappearing backstage.

He remembers his mom just saying to not worry about it. However, her conditions got worse. His parents tried to hide but Adrien knew. That day forward they occupied Adrien with his classes to avoid him asking questions. Till that day his mother went on a trip to Tibet and never returned.

Adrien sighed, "What kind of mother leaves her own son? Without saying goodbye." Adrien then continued his way to his father's office. This time however he had Max teach him to hack into the camera systems on an app. Once Adrien activated he went in with a flashlight to avoid turning on the room in case Gorilla wakes up. Adrien flashed is light towards the portraits. Immediately 4 speck reflected the light off the portrait. When he approached it to take a closer look he observed them be pattern shapes lifted off the portrait. Adrien glided his finger to feel the metal material on the canvas.

"What else are you hiding in mother portrait?" Adrien then placed his fingers on the metal and press down on them. Then the floor started to lower. Adrien looks down to see himself getting lowered like an elevator. He then notices that he was taken to an underground cavern.

The space was huge, much larger than he expected based on the echo of the elevator when it stopped. Metal platforms ran from wall to wall and in the middle, with greenish water sloshing underneath. The opposite end of this underground cavern was covered in plants, lit by the fading sunlight coming from a huge butterfly-shaped window near the top of the chamber, "What is this place?"Adrien then approached the catwalk to see the pod. His paces slowed down as he notices there was a person inside.

"Mother..." Adrien muttered.

He saw how pale his mother's skin seemed under the glass. Her blonde ringlets. She looked as if she'd been sleeping, with eyes closed, features relaxed and hands crossed over her chest. His gaze traveled to the cylinder and various tubes connected to it and disappearing among the leaves.

"Mom..." Adrien said as he approached her pod, "What happened?"He asked hoping to get an answer from her, "Mom?" He tried again."Why are you here?"

Adrien looked at her and at that moment he never felt more broken. All this time he thought that maybe she had run out of them. That for the last two years that she was alive and lost out in the sea. But she was here below his family home. Why did his father keep her away from him?

"Father knows how much I miss you... How can he do this to me," Adrien teared up as he leaned on the pod.

Then he remembers his father talking to him on her mother's first-year disappearance,"I think about telling you every day but I don't know how to find the right words."

"He was trying to tell me..." Adrien realize then remembered how he thought that he had feelings for Natalie, "I'm sorry mom," Adrien cried because he was confused and felt betrayed. Because all that he hopes for his mom to return was a lie. His father kept her away from him, he was trying to hide the truth that she was truly gone, "I guess father couldn't tell me the truth because he can't let you go as I did."

Gathering whatever strength he had left, he forced himself to let go of his mom pod, "I wish I could bring you back to make him happy again. But, I can't..." Adrien went silent again, "It wouldn't be right." Adrien then heard a noise from the elevator. Adrien then quickly looked around and saw a staircase. Adrien made haste as he went to make a run for it.

He was able to escape out of the bookshelf of his father's office. He notices that Natalie was not in her room and went to his bedroom. He was able to make it to his room without being caught. He slammed the door trying to catch his breath. As he leaned back on the door resting, Plagg flew into the room, "Hey! Kid, I have some news!" Plagg yelled as he flew in front of his face, "Uh. whats wrong with you?"

Adrien shook away his expression to change back to Plagg first news, "What going on?"

"I just thought you want to join Ladybug. she out on the roof."

"Let's go see my love bug then," Adrien said as he plasters a smile on his face even though he is very much traumatized emotionally. He transformed into Chat Noir and left his home to go find Ladybug. He immediately knew where to find her. He went to the top of the Eiffel tower where he found her looking out the horizon.

"Any Akuma sightings?"Chat Noir says as he surprised her from behind as he landed

"Ch-Chat." She gasped. She felt her cheeks get hot and cleared her throat. "Chat Noir." She tried again, "What are you doing here?"

"Aww, m' lady cats are nocturnal creatures. What are you up to tonight m' lady?" Chat Noir asked as he twirled his staff.

"Actually I need to talk to you," Ladybug then turned to look him and found him face to face with her.

"Aww, so my bugaboo missed her prince's lips," Chat Noir says as he leaned in to kiss her. She immediately stopped him with her finger and gave him an annoyed eye-roll.

Chat Noir leaned back with an odd expression as she sat down, he went down to join her, "So what's up?"

"I have to ask you a question, "Ladybug sighed.

"Is it that I love yo. The answer is yes," Chat Noir said as he got closer.

"Chat, please be serious. Maybe it is too late to talk, "Ladybug sighed in disappointment.

"Paw-lease, this cat is not going anywhere." Chat Says as he held her hand to stop her from leaving, "What's going on?"

"I have been thinking about how to defeat Hawkmoth. When we lost master Fu, we lost more than his memories that protected our identities," Ladybug admitted.

"What do you mean?"

"If he was truly Adrien all you need to do is ask," Misfortune whispered in her head.

"Ever wondered why he is doing this to us?"Ladybug refers to the Akuma attacks.

"To destroy the city, and use our miraculous for it," Chat Noir answered.

"What if it more than that? What if all this madness he doing is to get our miraculous to get his second chance at life." Ladybug explained.

Chat Noir was silent as he thought about his father having a second chance to make things right. But, he knew it wouldn't be right, "Everybody would want a second chance but it comes with a terrible price."

"And if it means a happy ending. What if he has a family that he trying to reunite, or fix a mistake of the past."

"It doesn't matter. Things happen for a reason, "Chat Noir sighed at the thought that he can use that wish to get the mother back but it's impossible.

"So, you lost someone?"Ladybug asked as she saw Chat Noir's sad face.

Chat Noir immediately changed his expression into a chuckle, "Tisk, tisk, m' lady! You should know better than to ask such a personal question! I do have my secret identity to protect after all," Chat Noir chuckles but Ladybug read through him and she held his hand as he nodded, "Yeah, I lost my mother. I think about her every day."

Misfortune's voice took over more easily, "So you understand why Hawkmoth wants our miraculous?"

"Of course, but it's not right." Chat Noir argues, "Why are you asking me this?"

"I just want to figure a way to defeat Hawkmoth," Ladybug took over her voice again.

Chat Noir saw her upset expression," I know that you have double responsibilities with now being the guardian and it taking a toll on you. But you're not alone. You have me. Although we don't know each other identities. You'll always have me you cutie. You know you can't spell cutie without u?" Chat Noir chuckled.

"Here we go again, "Ladybug eye-rolled him.

"A cat's heart beats about 110 to140 times per minute, and this cat's heart only beats for you," He chuckles.

"Chat why are you so attracted to me?" Misfortune took over.

"Because I do. Whoever you are under the mask, I'm in love with you since our eyes first met, " Chat said as he held her chin up.

"And if I can't feel the same because of our duties." Ladybug insists.

"You don't reduce our emotions to what you think about me because we're partners. What matters is what I see in you and what you see in me."

"How are you able to say that after I rejected you so long. You can't be in love with me" Misfortunes made Ladybug say.

"Because I do. Don't tell me how I feel about you. I know how I feel about you I tried to move on with our personal lives and I will never ever love anybody more than I love you."

"How can you be so sure?" Ladybug asked fighting off Misfortune.

"Because I know you're not in love with someone else. And I don't care what you think right now, we're gonna be together forever and I know that. But I guess you still need to find that out."Chat Noir sighed as he realized that Ladybug is still conflicted with her feelings.

Ladybug smiled toward as him as he never notices this side of him. Then she started to hear Misfortunue voices filling up her head, "Um Chat..."

"Yes Ladybug," Chat Noir replied.

"Always be a hero never change. No matter how difficult it going to be, fight with hope." Ladybug said with a fearful tone

Chat Noir looked at her with a confused expression, "I promised."

"I'm sorry," next thing she knew Misfortune took over and gave him a quick peck. But the moment their lips touched, an electrifying connection had been made. When Ladybug had pulled away to gather her thoughts against Misfortune, Chat Noir realized Ladybug's cheeks had turned a dark crimson red. There was a deep longing look, the look as if he wanted more.

Chat let out a shaky breath and dove in for another one, and another one after that. Before he knew it an addictive trend began and the kisses got longer and sweeter. The ally cat once again sucked in the bottom of Ladybug's lip, lightly nipping on it.

"m' lady" Chat hissed out grabbing Ladybug around the waist and pulling her into his torso.

Misfortune took control as her hand went on his arm down to his hand where he had his ring. Chat Noir whined, feeling Ladybug's lips leave to glide to the nape of his neck, where she began sinking her teeth into his skin.

"L-Ladybug" Chat Noir moaned lightly causing his stomach to clench.
