《Miraculous Ladybug AU- Soulmates》Chapter 16 - All Is Forgiven

Adrien was nervous. He had no idea how Marinette was taking the roses and notes. He wasn't sure it was the greatest poem but he had tried his best, and it was all true.
He still had one more note to deliver, though.
Of course, Alya said it was being well received but he was still nervous.
Once school was over, he rushed off and transformed into Cat Noir. He then went to Marinette's house and put the last note with the rose.
Suddenly he heard footsteps close to the door. He didn't have enough time to leave, so he hid under the bed quickly, slipping under it deftly.
Marinette went straight home after school, she had to figure out where to find Cat Noir. She wanted to tell him she forgave him. When she arrived home here was a note and another rose.
And I hope you can forgive me.
All together the poem sounded like this.
You have the most beautiful smile
Your heart is as big as can be
I love you so much
And I hope you can forgive me
It was a beautiful poem and Marinette wished that Cat Noir was there. Suddenly, her Kwami popped out, but before Marinette could say anything, Tikki closed her mouth, indicating to remain silent. She then flew over the bed and pointed to it, then hid again.
Marinette looked where she was pointing and saw something black breathing. She smiled.
"You can come out, Kitty," Marinette said.
Cat Noir paused before slowly coming out, with a sheepish expression.
"How did you know I was under there?" He asked.
Marinette giggled.
"I could hear you breathing," Marinette said.
"Oh, well, I only wanted to drop off the rose and note. I know you probably don't want to see me, so I'll get going-"
"Shhh," Marinette said, cutting him off by putting a finger to his lips.
"I forgive you," she said.
"Really?" Cat Noir said with a smile.
"Of course. I would have had to forgive you at some point - you are my soulmate," she said.
Cat Noir pulled Marinette closer to him by her waist.
"True, but I would have preferred that you forgave me sooner rather than later. Because now, I can do this," he said and kissed her.
Marinette kissed him back, happy to be with her soulmate once more.
Then she suddenly pulled away and looked at the clock.
"Cat Noir, its time for patrol."

Cat Noir groaned. "But I just got you back," he whined like a child.
"Don't you use me as an excuse to avoid your responsibilities," Marinette scolded.
"But Mariiii," he whined teasingly.
"Go, I'll be here when you get back," she said.
Cat Noir finally conceded and went to go leave.
"I'll be back shortly, alright?" he said, smiling at her.
"Alright," Marinette said.
When he was far enough away, Tikki popped out.
"So all is forgiven?" she asked.
"All is forgiven," Marinette confirmed. "Tikki, spots on!" she exclaimed.
Ladybug made her way to the Eiffel Tower to find Cat Noir waiting. She could see the smile on his face from a mile away.
"Well, someone is in a good mood," Ladybug said.
"Oh, hello, M'Lady," he said.
"I take it things went well with your soulmate?" she said.
"Better than I could've hoped," he told her.
"Well then, let's start patrol. I don't want you to keep her waiting," Ladybug said.
The two started patrol. It was a beautiful night. The stars were glimmering over the city and Ladybug felt a soft breeze in her hair. Tonight had been just... perfect.
When they finished patrol, Ladybug left quickly. She had to beat Cat Noir to her house. When she arrived, she quickly detransformed.
"Tikki, spots off!" she said.
Just as the pink glow had disappeared, Cat Noir popped in through the window.
"Told you I wouldn't keep you waiting too long," he said.
Marinette laughed. She went up to him and kissed him.
"I hope not, I wouldn't want to fall asleep with my poor kitty on the streets," she said, pulling away and speaking against his lips.
Cat Noir got a mischievous look on his face and immediately pulled Marinette onto the bed on top of him.
Marinette laughed.
"Cat, let me go!" she said playfully.
"Never," he said.
Marinette stopped struggling and laid on his chest.
"I wouldn't have it any other way," she said
After a while, both were getting tired, but neither wanted to move.
"You shouldn't fall asleep transformed," Marinette said.
Cat Noir smiled.
"Well, if I were to detransform, you would see who I am," he said.
"I won't. I'll keep my eyes closed, I promise," Marinette said.
She closed her eyes.
She felt Cat Noir stroke her hair.
"Plagg, claws in," he said.
Marinette smiled.

"Goodnight, kitty," she said, her words interrupted by a huge yawn.
"Goodnight, Marinette," Adrien said.
Adrien never realized how comfortable he was with Marinette. He was currently sitting in her room as Adrien, stroking her hair. He actually wouldn't mind if Marinette opened her eyes. But he wanted the way he revealed himself to be special, and knew she would keep her promise.
He laid back and closed his eyes, after some time, he also fell asleep, a smile on his face. He finally had his soulmate in his arms again, and this time, he wouldn't lose her.
After Adrien had detransformed, Plagg had flown up and began searching.
Now, you may think he went in search of cheese, and normally that would be true. However this time, he was searching for something else. He was searching for Tikki. He finally found her, hiding under the bed, eating a cookie.
"The soulmate marks have never failed, and they worked their magic on these two as well," he said.
"It's incredible how they've learned to love and accept each other. A couple of weeks ago she was pining after Adrien," Tikki said.
"I wonder what she would think if she knew she was sleeping with Adrien right now," Plagg said.
That got Tikki to playfully whack him.
"Your comments aside, it truly is a beautiful thing, two souls becoming one, as they were always meant to be," Tikki said.
"Your comments aside about my comments, I do have to agree with you there. They're just like me and Camembert," he said.
Tikki smiled at him. Nothing could get in his way when it came to cheese.
"How do you think they're doing up there?" Tikki asked.
"I'm sure they're doing just fine," Plagg said.
Meanwhile, both Adrien and Marinette were fast asleep.
Adrien awoke a couple hours later. He looked down to see Marinette fast asleep. He smiled and kissed her forehead.
He then got up, careful not to awaken his sleeping princess.
"Plagg, claws out," he whispered.
Cat Noir transformed and, took one last look at Marinette and then left, already anticipating the next time he could see her.
Marinette woke up to find Cat Noir had left. She lay her head on her pillow with a sigh.
Tikki flew up from under the bed.
"You seem to be in a good mood," she said.
"How did I end up with a guy like Cat Noir? He's everyone's dream soulmate!" Marinette asked her.
"Because Marinette, he may be everyone's dream soulmate, but you're his dream soulmate," Tikki said.
Marinette hugged her pillow and let out another dreamy sigh. Everything was perfect, and she hoped it stayed that way.
Meanwhile, Alya was at home, smiling to herself. She had gone to Marinette's house earlier that day and Sabine had told her to go right up to her room. She was going inconspicuously ask about the roses, but found something so much better. She found Adrien and Marinette sleeping together. She had to admit, she did take a picture, but it was too cute! They were perfect together, the last step was for them to reveal themselves to each other.
Alya heard her doorbell ring and ran to go get it. At the door was Nino, holding a bouquet of her favourite flowers.
"Happy anniversary, Alya," he said.
Alya took the flowers and kissed him.
"Happy anniversary, Nino," she said and let him in. After all, why should she let Adrien and Marinette be the only ones to have fun with their soulmates?
After Nino had gone inside, Alya looked up at the sky. There was a certain black cat standing on top of a roof.
"I'm glad you two have made up, you two were always the perfect pair," Alya said
Cat Noir jumped down and landed in front of Alya.
"Maybe, but none of it would've happened without you, Alya," he said
Alya looked at him and smiled.
"Want to know a secret?" she asked.
Cat Noir looked confused, but then nodded.
"The sly fox whose identity you wanted know was one of your closest friends all this time," she said.
Cat Noir's eyes widened in surprise.
"Rena?" He whispered.
Alya nodded.
"Now go, Cat Noir, I want to spend some time with my soulmate. I'm sure you can appreciate that," she said, referring to how much he loved spending time with Mari.
Cat Noir nodded and bowed.
"Until the next time then," he said and then ran off into the night.
Alya watched him go off into the night, and then went inside to see her soulmate. Everything had gone just as she planned, but the last obstacle that they would need to face was out of her hands. The last wall they needed to break through.
And that was the reveal of their identities.

The Sea of Destiny
[Let me be straight with you. This is trash, like old dime store novel trash. Don't expect grandiose writing, anything profound, or much beyond being free of spelling errors. Like my profile says, it’s hopefully like a salty snack, decent and satisfying for people looking for this kind of thing (at least that's my hope). It is simple, weird, and most likely growing in ridiculousness as it rapidly escalates.] Michael just wants to get away after a rough breakup. He figures some time alone cruising on a sick jet ski will help clear his head. After a small series of mishaps he winds up as humanities last hope adrift at sea after nuclear devastation destroys the mainland. Will he be able to solve the mystery of the bowl of the ancients before nuclear winter freezes over his dwindling food supply? Who are these mysterious women he keeps meeting, and will he even care about the talents they bring to the table, or will he be too focused on how they keep ruining his carefully laid plans for survival at sea? Read this cheesy short story to see for yourself, and discover the true mystery behind the hand of fate.

And so begins the tale of a young knight and his reluctant companion, in a journey that the order most definitely would not approve of and could very well spell a life of hardship and strife for him in the future — but hey, doesn’t that just add to the thrill of it?

Author's note: This is the first book in what is expected to be an eight-book series. The first few chapters aren't very good since they were written when I was about ten, but the quality improves around chapter 7. Please bear with it; I'll try to get the chapters in as soon as possible. Thanks!
