I reawakened to an urgent prodding. I opened my eyes, and shot up.
"They're here, aren't they?" I asked Will, referring to the Spandex Clan. I solidified shadows to make my cloak and mask. Will already had his on.
"Yeah." Will nodded, "We gotta get moving." He grabbed my hand and the light around us intensified, it was not long before we were in a tunnel of blinding light, we moved at fast speed as the light pushed us forwards. Soon we reached the end of the tunnel. We popped into existence a good few miles away, and I handed Will a bit of Ambrosia.
"Thanks." He said.
"You know, that Ambrosia doesn't come free," I said playfully, "You have to pay the fee with a kiss."
"Oh I can do that." Will chuckled.
"Prove it." I smirked, and Will kissed me. This evolved into an intense make out session.
"If I had any doubts they were a couple, I totally believe them now." A voice said with sarcastic clapping. We pulled apart, and I noticed we were still dressed in sunlight, and shadows.
"What do you want, Metallica?" I asked the man in metal.... I'm totally calling him Metallica from now on.
"You need to come with us." The man who seemed to wear the American flag ordered.
"Listen, Stripes." Will hissed, "We're not doing this. We have a life, you know!"
"Why won't you fight?" The woman in black spandex spat. I'm calling her Red, because of her hair.
"We don't want anyone to get hurt, especially other citizens, or yourselves..." I drifted off.
"We have a god on our side." Metallica chuckled, "You wouldn't win."
"Correction," I said, "You have an alien, who isn't on earth right now. No one has the true gods on their side."

"What does that mean?" Stripes asked.
"Thor is an alien the Norse believed to be a god. The actual gods... well... they're not so friendly. Kind of selfish, actually. They don't care if their own children die, unless it hurts their big ego." I explained.
"What are you-" The archer, whom I'm calling... Arch, asked.
"Sorry, gotta go." I said, standing up, "Sunray, you got a firm grip?"
"Yeah." Will nodded, grabbing my hand. I took off into the shadows, but as I left, a hand gently grasped my jacket. He let go as he plummeted in the shadowy darkness. I groaned, and followed him to a cave. Arch stood up in the cave groaning, and threw up.
"What were you thinking?!" I shouted.
"Huh?" He asked.
"You could've died!" I shouted at him, and he paled.
"How?" He asked.
"When you let go, you risk being made into a shadow yourself, which would kill you! A man who does what you do for a living should know not to take an unknown transportation! Especially if he doesn't know the dangers!" I said angrily.
"Nico..." Will said slowly, "I'm going to check him for injuries, and ensure he didn't lose an important organ. Or limb. You need to calm down."
I took a deep breath, "Thanks, Will." I said with a smile, "I don't wanna lose control again.
Will laughed, "You mean cause another 'unexplainable blackout'?"
"Yeah. It'd be pretty hard to cover up an entire area of wilderness going dark in the middle of the day." I chuckled, then kissed him, "Now make sure this idiot isn't going to die."
Will laughed, and began to check the Archer, who looked extremely confused.
"How many fingers am I holding up?" Will asked. He gave Will a 'are you serious' look, "You could've gotten a concussion! I don't know!"

"Fine. Two." The Archer replied. Will was holding up one, so he looked at the man's eyes, and realized he indeed had a major concussion.
"Dude, you're lucky you're not unconscious!" Will shouted, "Get some rest!"
"Not in front of my enemies." The Archer scoffed.
"Look, Archer." I said coldly, "I can't take you back to your friends if you're injured, because it could cause some serious damage, so suck it up, and get some rest, before I make you."
"Fine." The archer huffed.
"Also, what should we call you. We can't keep calling you 'The Archer', so give us a code name, fake name, or something." I asked a little frustrated.
"To you, I'm Hawkeye." He said, before passing out from his concussion. I let the shadows catch him.
"So how long till we can get him back to his friends in spandex?" I asked. Will looked at me and shrugged.
"Now." A gun cocked from behind me.

Post War Rules
Life on Torus Terminal is usually fast paced, but simple. A frontier Terminal has little room for easy living, but the great, circular station does boast shopping and culinary experiences from many Imperial races and cultures. Any star is, by its nature, extremely far from its neighbors. But laser highways, and the great shimmering sails of the light-rider spaceships make the trip into only about ten years. Still, the denizens of Torus Terminal eagerly await the day when the Anti-Euclidean Engine their station is built around finally comes online. Once that is done, they will have unfettered access to the entire Empire. Instantaneous travel and trade across hundreds of stars. Torus Terminal does boast one other oddity: a creature which calls itself Human. As he says, the last of his kind for now. He has made quite the life for himself on Torus Terminal, especially in the darker corners of the station. The elites of Torus Terminal praise his name, for once he took up arms, crime began to fall. What they did not realize was that was because he had claimed the seedy underbelly of Torus Terminal for himself and his own goals. The elites praise him as a paragon of law. The criminals fear him as a ruthlessly clever crime boss. Those closest to him, know him as the General. This story was originally posted on the Humanity Fuck Yeah subreddit, where it evolved from a simple play on a historical figure in a science fiction setting into a full blown space opera. I kind of took it as an opportunity to explore a setting I've had rolling around in my head for years. I also decided that it would be nice to have it in a place where I could more easily come back and edit it later, so I'm reposting it here. Here's a link to the original posting if you're interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/e9cwpl/post_war_rules/ If my genre and tagging is subpar, let me know. I'm still new to Royal Road and I'm open to help. Feel free to comment and make suggestions, or discuss. I love comments, and so long as we keep things civil I also love criticism.

His Trophy | Jerome Valeska
"Oh and Jim, Jim Gordon?" Jerome peered into the camera as if to yell out to an audience: "I have Rory here," he turned the camera towards Jim's daughter and revealed to the audience a girl that had been beaten and tormented, she was gaged and her eyes didn't look at the camera but above the lens; at Jerome who was holding the camera."Say hi to Daddy, doll face," he jeered from behind the camera. She looked down the lens and shook her head as if to tell Jim not to try. The camera went back to Jerome."She's a beauty isn't she, Jimbo," Jerome smirked into the camera, his laughter becoming harsh and wild: "and she's all mine, you try anything, and I mean anything, I kill her. She's my prisoner, my reward, and you're not taking her away from me Jimmy boy, on no, not this time" his words were spoken through waves of laughter.***Rory Gordan is the stepdaughter of Jim Gordon. Her mother moved a lot so Rory was born in Gotham City but raised in England and from the age of 10 she had been bouncing from one country to another with her mother. However, when she turned 17 she had grown tired of the constant change of moving and decided to move to America. It was when she was visiting her long term boyfriend when her life got flipped upside down, not only did she meet one of the craziest boys on the planet, but she discovered that she had a gift that would curse her forever. This story is a collection of scenes rather than a flowing plot, so its chronological but it skips scenes and jumps back and forth between different perspectives. The story is under editing, so it'll get more cohesive over time.••• I do not own any characters or plot lines from the tv show. However, all original characters like Rory do belong to me.Total Word Count [33,674]
