《pixie dust | nico di angelo ✔️》thirty four - save her

us to my house, I just wanted to tug on his shirt and let him know that I wanted to go back to Camp. But what demigod gives up right? This was my fate anyway. Maybe if I'm lucky enough they'll include me in the orientation film too.
I didn't see my mother right away. But what we did see right away were five Scythian Dracaena, hissing at us with their, snake mouths? I don't know they looked like giant snakes, and were NOT friendly at all.
I unsheathed my sword almost immediately as two of the snake monsters attacked me, but as I struggled with fighting the two of them, one of them decided to stalk off to where Nico was fighting the other three.
I personally, was very offended. I know I wasn't much of a fighter, but you just don't walk away like that because I'm not good enough to give a satisfactory fight.
The sound of the house resonated with the weapons clashing against each other, and hissing. What was this? Some sort of game we had to go through in order to get to the boss level where they're hiding my mom?
As I continued to dodge and block the dracanae's attack with her spear, I took out my knife with my other hand as I watched the other dracanae approaching Nico slowly, he was a little overwhelmed with three, with an upcoming fourth but just as I was about to call his name, he already managed to disintegrate one.
"Nico! Duck!" I hollered
Nico looks at me and wastes no time to duck, and I throw my glowing bronze knife. At first, I thought I throwed it sloppily, like I always do, because I naturally suck in the battle field but everything seemed to happen in a slow motion. I watched my knife quickly fly with such accuracy and speed, I almost forgot I was fighting a snake monster. The knife flew so fast, and so cool, by the way, that the moment it pierced the dracanae, it shattered into fine golden dust.
"Shit!" I cheered, as Nico whipped his head towards me with a huge smile on his face.
The hissing returned to my ears, and I had to ultimately defend myself from the now enraged dracanae in front of me.
I blushed, I didn't know I cheered so loudly. People would have thought I won the lottery or something or got another kiss from Nico, but I just successfully threw a knife with the right force.
As the dracanae lunged for me, I took a step back and swung my sword to slice her arm. When I did, she hissed at me and looked at her arm. I took the chance to stab my sword on her chest, as to which she immediately turned into golden dust.

"Come on," Nico said, beckoning towards the stairs.
As we ran, Nico patted my back, "That was a really good throw, remind me to have you practice for knife throwing when we're back at Camp,"
I smiled, "Can't wait,"
Nico and I went out separate ways because the second floor of my home was separated into two wings. I slammed each and every door, as I passed, all of them were empty but when I opened the last one, the one at the end of the corridor, there I found my mother, chained.
"She's here!" I yelled, and Nico immediately came rushing towards me. It was the biggest room of our house, it was as big as a function hall. I didn't understand why it used to be like this before, maybe I do now.
My mother looked up, an apologetic look on her face, "It's- It's a trap,"
Yes. No shit. But we came anyway.
"Tell me how to save you mother," I quickly said as I tried undoing the chains. I tried breaking it but it wouldn't break.
"You have to defeat him in order to have these chains broken," Hecate said, her voice quavering.
"Well, you certainly made me wait for a long while, Eretria" The very same voice I heard in my dreams boomed.
I looked back, in the closet, appeared a man, with a wicked smile and a chimera behind him.
"You shouldn't be here," Nico growled, raising his sword.
"Son of Hades," He acknowledged, nodding his head towards Nico.
"What do you mean? Nico, who's this freak?" I ask Nico, tugging on jacket.
Nico looked at me with a serious look, "This is a titan. Or at least, only what he could reach with his little power. This is Krios,"
"Krios?" I echoed, my mind immediately went to the camp classes I took. I wasn't stupid, in fact, I got praised for my good scores in test because I picked up information immediately. But my head was currently empty right now. I just wanted to save my mother, get Nico out of here alive, so I had absolutely no idea who Krios was.
"Titan Krios. Jason was the one who defeated you. You never went back to the mortal world during the Second Giant War. Why are you here?" Nico asked, stepping forward.
Krios only laughed, the same heartless laugh I could hear in my dreams.
"Jason Grace, yes, a formidable enemy indeed. My mother, primordial goddess of the Earth, Gaea didn't want us interfering with her plans so she sent us on guard duty on the Doors of Death, I'm sure you remember that Nico di Angelo. You've been there," Krios stated

Nico only glared at him. I had almost forgotten that Nico went on a solo journey on Tartarus. Man, I wouldn't even last an hour in Tartarus. How did this guy even manage to survive? It should be something I'll ask him next time.
"Why are you here?" I asked again
"Your mother, betrayed me. She swore her allegiance to us titans. But the moment she got little recognition from the Olympians? The moment her children got their own little joyful cabin in that foolish camp? She betrayed all of us! She was a great source of power, now she must repent,"
"You can't kill her," I scowled, my hand holding Hecate's wrist. I wanted to say more, I wanted to provoke him that he was being petty but I didn't want to be obliterated now. Not yet, at least.
Krios shook his head, "Oh I can, and I will"
Nico didn't say a thing but instead, he charged at him, holding his sword tightly.
"Nico, no!" I tried to warn him, but it was too late, Krios took a step back and snapped his fingers, sending Nico flying to the other side.
"Nico!" I yelled, as I scurried to go to him but he held his hand up signaling me not to take a step closer.
Krios snapped his fingers again, and suddenly he was engulfed in the shadows. I didn't even have the time to scream.
"What have you done to him?" I sneered
"Limbo," Krios simply answered
I didn't want to say anything more. The shadows were Nico's domain. There was no absolute way that he was in limbo or whatever. Nico was smart. He'll come back and by then, he must've had figured something out.
He told me to distract Krios. And so I will.
"Attack her," Krios ordered, and suddenly the chimera lunged for me. My sword was the only thing I currently held, and I instantly dodged its bite by rolling to the other side.
The chimera roared, and fire spewed out of its mouth. I stared at in horror. I looked at my mother for any guidance, she was looking at me but before I could ask my scenery changed, I was in a forest.
I held my sword tightly, the illusion must've been the work of Hecate.
The chimera snarled at me, and I grinned, "Come on," I taunted, as I ran around the forest.
It chased me around, it was definitely fast, and definitely smart enough because it wasn't very easy to outrun. Its tail was also very frightening. I was in a midst of having an adrenaline rush, so I paid no mind to my fear. But I am definitely scared.
And its fire was not helping. It just spewed out fire however it wanted. And if I remember correctly, that stupid tail is venom. I can't afford to die when I haven't gotten Nico his chance yet.
The chimera suddenly gained on me, and pounced on me, its claw hitting the side of my mouth. It roared, and I managed to slice the chimera with my knife. Growling in pain, I took it as my chance to roll over and ran again.
An idea popped into my head, I had to outwit the chimera somehow. Right now it looked like we were just playing cat and mouse.
I ran towards the area where it had more trees. I had no idea in which part of the room I was in, but I had to believe that also the monster was fooled by this illusion.
I hid behind a tree, trying to slow my heart rate down.
The chimera roared behind me, and suddenly I felt a sudden heat from exactly behind me. I tried not to make too much noise, but it was a bit inevitable, my arms were definitely barbecued. It hurt like hell, but when the chimera, looked over, I took this as a chance to skewer the monster with my sword.
It roared in pain, and its tail came at me. Luckily, I was quick enough to pull the blade out and block myself from that deadly tail. I looked at my sword, which was dripping with the venom from the chimera.
I ducked as the chimera let out another series of fire event, rolling closer, I pierced my sword on its neck again. Howling in pain, the chimera staggered before turning into golden dust.
Suddenly, my surroundings were back inside the room. I leaned back on the wall as Krios looked at me with amusement. I looked at my arms, which were burnt like second degree burnt. I hissed in pain, biting my lip and pinched my hand to alter the pain but it was of no use.
Gods knew that if only I had the power, I'd absolutely choke this guy to death.
But Krios only laughed.

Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment! Any sort of feedback can help me become a better writer and write more engaging stories for you. I used to update once every 3-5 days, but this rewrite is taking much too long...I do hope it will be worth it.

Twoen
The struggle for an interesting game has been the story of my life for quite some time. Every game I find is either too easy, not interesting or too short. Luckily, my two brothers who match my level of skill, albeit in different areas, tend to spice things up. When I look at my older brother I have no idea how he gets anything done when he's such an idiot. Still it doesn't detract from my respect for him as a gamer, though maybe a little. When I look at my younger brother I marvel at the monster that my older brother and I created. Deadliness, craftiness and quiet, both in what he does and how he is. When it's just us three we tend to destory everything in our path. So normally we tend to compete rather than team. Although that isn't to say we're just good as individuals. When we work together our effectiveness multiplies rather than lowering. Well enough about us dorks. Anyway a new VR game came out, apparently in development for quite some time. Of course my older brother decided to drive out and buy three copies. What would this one be missing? Difficulty? Depth? Length? In any case I plan to reach the top before my brothers do. It was a competition after all. Twoen had all three things I normally yearn for in spades. Something I did not foresee. A keeper

Winter Sovereign
Serra Recquir, a boy born in the world of Sierra, was born with weak and with mediocre talent. Despite the odds, he pursued the path of cultivation. He faced numerous trials, deadly foes and great friends. Eventually, he stepped into the world of the Divine Realm. Breaking past the limits of the world and traveling to higher planes. After millions of years, he finally reached the summit. Becoming a Sovereign Paragon. Longing for the world he left countless years ago, he finally returns to his own world. Author's Note: This story is different from other wuxia novels. If those novels focus on characters that struggle from the bottom and reach the top, this story is one where someone already reached the top. I figured it would be interesting to start a novel from this concept so I started it. Well, however this plays through, just like how I finished my previous novel, Doll's Smile, I'll finish this novel too. Of course, I'm writing this novel just for fun. I like to write lighthearted novels like this. Novels that I would read while listening to music and eating snacks on a pleasant and relaxing afternoon. Do forgive me if I'm slow in writing.
