《Finding them》Chapter 13

Darcy was curdled into a ball still on Hunter's lap. She hated loud noises and Dakota yelling was always to get the attention off her. She hoped her brother was ok but was scared to move. "Eddie these kids never had food, you can't just take stuff from them" Mitchell scolded his brother. "It was one strawberry, no big deal" Eddie replied. "They were never fed from what we found out. That was likely the first time they have ever had strawberries" Mitchell told him. "You are lying" Eddie said shocked. "Mate, I wish I was" Mitchell said quietly.
Hunter was trying to coax Darcy up but she wouldn't move especially with Mitchell and Eddie arguing. "Hey sweetheart, you are ok" Hunter told his sister while running his hands through her hair. "I won't let anyone hurt you, I promise. Come on show me those gorgeous eyes again so I can see if you are ok" Hunter continued. Hunter didn't want to force her at all so continued to gently coax her up. Darcy wanted Dakota to come get her like he usually did when things were safe again.
Dakota came back into the room holding Jamie's hand searching the room for his sister. When he didn't see her, he began to panic. "Cc?" Dakota called out. Hunter looked towards his baby brother and saw the fear in his eyes, he never wanted to see that ever again. "She is her mate, she is a little scared" Hunter told Dakota. Mitchell and Eddie finally snapped out of there little argument to see Darcy curdled into a ball on Hunters lap. Mitchell felt so bad, he knew that loud noises and anger scared the twins but especially Darcy. She was more sensitive and he felt so bad.
Dakota ran to his sister and glared at Hunter while putting his hands on Darcy's face so she could tell it was him. "Wasn't me bud, it was those two" Hunter told him while pointing at Eddie and Mitchell. Dakota glared at the two of them. "No nice" Dakota told them. Dakota managed to help Darcy who was still uneasy from the yelling and arguing. He held his sister to his chest and rubbed her back while the brothers watched on, Mitchell in shame for scaring his baby sister. Eddie in shock because he didn't quiet believe the extent of what he was told but was now seeing it first hand.

Daniel served dinner and headed into the lounge room to get all his kids. "Dinner is ready" he sung out only to stop dead in his tracks when he saw what was happening. "What's happened? Why is Darcy crying?" Daniel asked. "She is scared. After Dakota yelled, she cuddled up in my lap. She hasn't moved till Dakota came and got her. Eddie and Mitchell were arguing which caused her to start shaking, I guess she was scared" Hunter told his father making Mitchell feel worse. Daniel walked over to the twins and knelt down to there height. "Hey princess, you are safe here. No one will hurt you. Let's get some dinner" he spoke gently.
Dakota would not let go of Darcy at all and Darcy wouldn't let go of him either. She was still scared and didn't want everyone looking at her. "Darcy, I'm so sorry I scared you. I didn't mean to" Mitchell told his sister while moving closer to her with the elephant. Dakota snatched Ellie out of his hands and was not happy with his biggest brother. "No big Kota" Dakota told his brother. He was telling him not to come closer but Mitchell needed to make sure his baby sister was ok. "Darcy princess, I'm sorry. Can I have a cuddle?" Mitchell asked. Darcy stiffened, she didn't know if Mitchell would hurt her or not. "He won't hurt you sweetheart. I promise" Hunter assured her after feeling her body go stiff.
Darcy did like cuddles but she was also scared. She slightly nodded her head and Mitchell extended his arms causing her to flinch. He dropped his arms and his head. He didn't want to force her to hug him at all and he was so ashamed of scaring her. They had bonded in LA and she had even slept in the bed with him a few nights. He couldn't believe he broke her trust already. Darcy was watching Mitchell and felt bad he was sad. She started to talk to Dakota in gibberish which both seemed to understand but no one else did. Daniel watched on to see what they did, usually they were trying to work out what to do when they spoke like that to each other.

Darcy and Dakota stopped hugging each other and held hands. Darcy stood from Hunter's lap and they both crept over to Mitchell. Darcy walked straight into Mitchell's chest still holding Dakota's hand and put her head over his heart. She reached her other hand round trying to hug her eldest brother to give him comfort. Mitchell wrapped his arm around his sister and let his tears fall. He never meant to break her trust and scare her like he did. Dakota watched carefully as he wasn't sure if Mitchell would hurt Darcy or not. "I'm so sorry" Mitchell sobbed out. Dakota came closer, he never saw a man cry and he was unsure if that was what he was seeing. He reached his hand up to Mitchell's face and caught the tears coming from his eyes.
Daniel watched his youngest kids. He couldn't believe how Darcy comforted her older brother even when she was scared. Darcy still had so much kindness even after what she gad been though. Dakota was curious and he was observing everything but also protective and had his sisters back. Dakota bent down a little to look at Mitchell's face. "Mitchell is sad he hurt Darcy bud and is crying" Daniel told his youngest son who nodded his head before joining Darcy in comforting there eldest brother. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't think. It won't happen again" Mitchell told the twins.
A few minutes later, everyone had calmed down a little. Eddie was shocked at the reaction the twins had and felt crap for taking a strawberry. Jamie was concerned, Darcy had reacted badly to bickering, how would she react if one of them yelled. Hunter just wanted to comfort his baby siblings, no kid should ever go through what they did. Mitchell felt horrible and was beating himself up. Daniel was proud of his youngest children. They had offered comfort to Mitchell when they were scared which meant they were starting to trust more. "I'm so proud of you Darcy and Dakota. You cuddled Mitchell when he was sad even though you both were worried" Daniel stated causing the twins to smile. They liked getting praised especially by Addy, there dad.

Long Island
Long Island was not the first virtual reality game or to say a VRMMORPG. Not the one which changed the world and became a legend. No, it was made when there were lots (quite a few) of virtual reality games already on the market. Each game had its own unique AI feature, its own unique adventure, promising everyone a chance to become King, if not a God. In such a time Long Island was made. Just a little different, just a little unique. A normal guy was starting his own adventure, in life and in game.Note - Adding a cover made by someone I connected through wattpad: @DameCarnelian. Just a warning, it is not an accurate representation. The ship is not Raka's ship so avoid any confusion in that regard.
