There weren't many customers at Scoops Ahoy. so Steve, Robin and Y/n hung out in the back.
Y/n was wearing a floral blue dress with her white converse sneakers. Steve kept his green jacket in the backroom, keeping it for Y/n, who wore it while she was there, claiming that 'the ice cream place was always cold.'
Honestly, it was like they were dating, other people saw it that way, and Steve felt that way, being so close to her the way he was. He really liked Y/n, maybe loved and he was soon going to ask her out, praying the feeling was mutual.
Robin was laughing, sitting on the counter. Talking with Y/n and Steve about the new movie, 'The Breakfast Club' that came out in February, until the bell rang a few times. "I'll get it." Robin said, going to the front.
"Hey Y/n, there is a new movie playing at the theater in a few days, it's called 'Back to the Future', you wanna go with me?" Steve asked. She smiled and shook her head yes. After a few seconds, both the teenagers heard the voice of dustin henderson.
"Is who here?" Robin asked as both the teenagers busted through the back door. "HENDERSON!" They both yelled and smiled with a laugh. Steve and Dustin did their weird handshake as they finished, the three hugged laughing.
"So how many children are you two friends with?" Robin asked the two teens, Steve shrugged looking at Y/n and Dustin. Y/n smiled at Steve, giggling.
The three sat in a booth, Dustin sitting on one end, eating a sundae, while Steve sat on the other side, his arm swung over the seat and Y/n sat under his arm, eating a little cup of her favorite, mint chocolate chip. Steve normally gave her little baby cups of ice cream when she visited.

"She's hotter than Phoebe Cates." Dustin stated Steve laughed in doubt. "No, no way. Hotter than Phoebe Cates? No." Steve replied
"Brilliant, too and she doesn't even care that my real pearls are still coming in. She says kissing is better without teeth." Dustin said. Steve stopped and Y/n choked on her ice cream, looking at Steve in disgust, he laughed. Y/n looked back at her ice cream, listening to their conversation while bouncing her leg up and down.
"Wow, uh, great. Proud of you man! That kinda.. that's kinda romantic. That's like, wow." Steve said, cheering him on as Dustin smiled and nodded. "So, you really get to eat as much of this as you want?" Dustin said, looking at his ice cream.
"Yeah, sure but it's not really good idea for me. You know, I gotta keep the shape for the little lady." He said, tilting his head at dustin as a joke gesturing that Y/n was his 'little lady'.
"Yeah and how's that working out for you?" Robin snickered in the back. "Ignore her!" Steve said. "She seems cool."
"She's not. So, where are the other knuckleheads?" Steve asked, Y/n finished her ice cream, pushing away the empty cup and spoon. Then sat back into Steve's arm, which he automatically wrapped around her, pulling her close.
"They ditched me yesterday." Dustin replied. "No!" Steve answered. "My first day back! can you believe that shit?" Dustin argued. "Woah, seriously?"
"I swear to god. Mhm- but they're going to regret it though, big time. When they don't get to share in my glory." Dustin mentioned. "Glory? What glory?"
"Hm, so last night. I was trying to get in contact with Suzie, and I uh- I intercepted a secret Russian communication." He said, almost inaudible. Y/n and Steve leaned in to hear. "What?" They both asked.

"Uh- intercepted a secret Russian communication." He whispered once more. "Just say it louder-" Steve said. "I intercepted a secret Russian communication!" He yelled, making everyone turn to the three. After awhile, they all looked back. "Jeez, shh. Yeah, okay. That's what I thought you said." Steve said as the two leaned back.
"What- what does that mean?" Steve question the young teen. "It means, Steve and Y/n, we could be hero's. true american heros." Dustin said as the two boys both nodded and mumbled a few, 'mh-mhms' (yes').
"American heros." Steve whispered. "Just think, you could have all the ladies you want and more." Dustin said. "More?" Steve questioned. "More." Dustin smirked. "Maybe."
"What's the catch?" Steve asked. "No catch, I just need your help." Dustin said, taking a bite on his ice cream. "With what?" Steve asked. "Translation." Dustin replied, pulling out a russian translation book. Dustin made his way to the backroom, leaving the two teenagers in a both together. "So, russian communication?.. What?" Y/n said, confused once again.
"Um, okay. So we are Americans because we live in America. These Russians are almost the same but they live in Russia and talk differently and we are trying to figure out what these russians are talking about." Steve tried to explain with the best of his abilities, knowing Y/n's short vocabulary.
"Why?" She said. "I'm not sure but he thinks these Russians are... these Russians are bad guys." Steve said with a hesitation, knowing that was a trigger and a hard thing to say to her. she stopped looking at Steve and look down, taking a deep breath in. "Hey, hey, woah, woah, woah." Steve said quickly.
"Y/n, look at me." He said, tilting her chin up to look into her eyes. "I'll protect you." He said. "Promise?" She asked, turning her head a little. "Promise."

The Complete Alchemyst book 1
You've heard of superheroes, seen them flying across the sky, destroying great swaths of cities and ending countless innocent lives in order to defeat great evils and world-spanning threats and sell lots of sponsorships and merchandising opportunities. This is a story about the guy that is not those heroes. A supervillain in a world where making the right friends and political contacts is what separates the good guys from the bad. The Alchemyst is a story about a normal guy in a crazy world that spends his time trying to follow his dreams and conscience, working on new potions, thinking about girls, and lifting heavy shit, while trying to stay under the radar of the superheroes, supervillains, and governments that want what he can do. And occasionally turning them into makeshift melee weapons. If you enjoy The Boys, the Aberrant roleplaying game, Mystery Men, Trashy romances, Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, or SAW you may enjoy this book. Please note that this book has extremely graphic and sometimes gross fight scenes, heroes as villains, villains as heroes, opinionated and often politically incorrect characters, some graphic sex scenes, dad jokes, dirty jokes, realistic depictions of romance and flirting, bondage and dominance themes, and more than a few cuss words when they are really appropriate. This is NOT a superhero genre deconstruction. Many heroes truly are heroes, and they don't all need to be destroyed to make a good story, but it does look into the dark side of superpowers and the unreasonable and often contradictory demands placed on exceptional people.
