《Supergirl x reader》Morning (Lena)

Your POV
Sun danced into your room as you grumbled. Mornings sucked. Like majorly sucked. Especially when the bed you woke up in was empty and cold. You recall the days when you would wake up next to Lauren (your ex-girlfriend) and even those weren't great mornings. She was always distant and heartless towards you, and sometimes you wondered why you even went out with her. Getting up from your comfy bed, you got ready for your first day of work like a zombie. You opened your door to a smiling Alex.
'Ugh why are you so happy in the morning?' You asked.
'Maggie made me breakfast.' She said with a grin.
You made a sick face and said, 'People in love make me sick.'
She giggled and pulled you out into the hallway and down the stairs.
'Come on. When your in love I'll remind you of is conversation.' She said.
'That'll be never so I hope you have a good memory.'
'Hmm it might be closer than you think.'
'What have you done Alex?' You asked suspiciously.
'For your first day, I may have done a bit of matchmaking.' She smirked.
'Alex noooo. I just want to crack on with work okay? No love for me. I've accepted it.' You argued.
At this point you were at the DEO doors.
'Just be a bit open to it okay?' She sighed at your sadness.
'Fine but I swear-' you were cut off.
'Hello you must be (Y/n). Alex said I was working with you today.' A beautiful raven-haired woman pronounced.
'Hi yeah that's me.' You said with a goofy smile that instantly happens when you meet someone new.
Alex watched the interaction from behind you, noticing Lena staring at you with instant attraction.
'Sorry who are you?' You asked with wonder as the pretty woman just stared at you.

'Umm oh I'm Lena. Lena Luthor.' She stuttered. You smiled at her and tilted your head.
'Ah the famous Luthor.' You said.
Alex also noticed Lena tense at that, obviously waiting for the dismissal she usually got when saying her last name.
'Nice to meet you. I'm really excited to work with you.' You exclaimed while sticking out your hand and rewriting your goofy grin on your face.
'Umm yeah- yeah me too.' Lena said with a small smile.
Alex noticed her nervousness around you, something very unusual for Lena. She usually kept up her professional appearance to anyone she first meets, but you seem to have broken that down in the space of two minutes.
'Well I have no idea where to go so please Miss Luthor, lead the way. Or is it Mrs Luthor?' You asked with a slight smirk, trying to hide your desperation to find out if she's single.
'It's Miss Luthor.' She said with a smile at your forwardness you were trying to hide.
'Well okay then Miss Luthor, lead the way.' You said, internally screaming at the opportunity to get to know her better.
Totally forgetting your best friend Alex was there, you were startled at the cough that came from behind you.
'Lena I guess you can take (Y/n/n) around on a tour. I've got to go and speak to Kara.'
'Okay. Say hello to her for me and say I'm still up for tonight if she is.' You returned.
As Alex walked away shaking her head in amusement, you turned back to Lena, taking in all of her perfect features.
'(Y/n/n)?' She giggled at Alex's stupid nickname for you.
'She's called me that since I was like 5 years old. It's infuriating.' You said in mock anger.
'Wow you've known her for that long?' Lena carried on as you trailed her around the building.

'I've know Al for all of my life. Our mums were friends before we were born. When Kara came, we all became pretty close.' You explained.
'That sounds nice.' You recognised the longing tone in her voice and assumed her childhood wasn't great.
'So Lena, what do you do?' You tried to steer the conversation into something more jolly.
'I play around with technology and the DEO uses the stuff I make. What about you?'
'I specialise in combat but I'm also pretty impressive with technology. I was in the FBI before this.' You replied.
'I'm impressed. And on top of that you can put gorgeous in the resumé? No wonder Alex hired you.' She obviously flirted and winked.
You blushed slightly and quickly thought of something to say back.
'Well I'm not surprised they use the stuff you make. If they're anywhere near as breathtaking as you are, no one could turn it down.'
Now it was her turn to blush and you were extremely proud that you were the one that put it there.
At the end of that day...
You walked out of the lab with Lena and made your way to the reception where Kara was waiting. As you walked, you talked to Lena as you had been doing all day, sometimes adding a flirty comment here and there.
As you said hi to Kara, Lena said, 'Goodbye I'll see you tomorrow.'
'Bye Lena.' You said with a small smile and watched her walk out of the building.
You saw Kara observe you out of the corner of your eye.
'What is it Kar?' You said as she gave you an amused look.
'Ask her out.' She said.
'Who Lena? No we only just met I couldn't-'
'Just do It (Y/n). I've known her for like 3 years and she's never opened up to anyone so fast. Go before you miss her.'
You hesitated for a second before sprinting through the doors.
She was about to get into her car when you caught up with her.
'Lena.'
'(Y/n)' she replied with a hopeful glimmer.
'I was wondering if you maybe... maybe wanted to go out with me.' She didn't say anything. Your stomach dropped. 'Sorry for asking oh my I'm so-'
'Tomorrow after work.' She suddenly said with a full grin.
'Okay tomorrow after work.' You repeated with a grin of your own.
Two years later...
Rays of light filtered into your room as you woke up. You were about to moan at the act of getting up when you felt the arm around your waist tighten. You smiled softly at the sight of Lena slowly awakening in your arms, her body closely tangled in yours.
'Good morning.' You whispered.
'Good morning honey.' She replied.
'It's time for work.' You continued to whisper.
'Hmm okay five more minutes.' She said into your under boob where her head was resting.
You looked over at the time, knowing both of you would be rushing if you got up 5 minutes later but couldn't help but snuggle back into her arms.
After rushing around the house to get ready, there was a knock on the door.
You opened it to see a grinning Alex. You couldn't help but grin back at her.
'Hey Lena's just grabbing something to eat and then we can go.'
'Okay.' She said.
You felt Lena slip her hand in yours as she locked the door and left your shared apartment.
You smiled and gave her a quick kiss before following Alex.
Maybe morning don't suck that much after all.

This was my entry for National Novel Writing Month, because why only write one series at a time? The more the merrier! (meanwhile, my keyboard bursts into flames...) I'm also the writer of The Last Science, an ongoing low-fantasy/speculative sci-fi series. If you're familiar with that, you know what to expect here: lots of character-focused drama and dialogue, not a whole lot of traditional action. However, I'm writing a bit differently than usual here, and in a very different structure, so there should be some surprises for returning readers. I hope you enjoy it! [Discord] — for those of you who want to hang out and chat. Cover art (fullsize): Path of Revelation, by taenaron (Tobias Roetsch), modified by Etzoli. Normally I like to do my own cover art from scratch, but I was in a rush for the contest. Might be replaced down the line if I get time. Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them. If you read this story then you won't lack for content. -- The Topps Company, Inc. has sole ownership of the names, logo, artwork, marks, photographs, sounds, audio, video and/or any proprietary material used in connection with the game Shadowrun.
