She completed her classes for the day. Her eyes did lose the shine they always carried with the things which took place a few days ago.
She denied picking up his call though she was scared of his reaction, she considered it the best for the moment. She reached home only to find a few of her relatives at home.
"Why are you getting her married this early?", The woman asked her mother.
"You need to remember Mrs. Mehra, there is no reason to deny Khuranas. They are no less than royals here. They won't get such a big chance again", another woman said and all Tara felt at that moment was disgusted with herself.
She felt like a gold digger for agreeing to get married to him so easily.
Khuranas must be thinking the same about her as she agreed to this arrangement this early. She walked out of her house massaging her forehead.
She called Kinshuk immediately.
"Speak", she heard from the other side.
"Kinshuk, I need to meet your brother urgently. Can you please tell me where I can find him?", she said in a small voice. Kinshuk knowing her for so long realized something was off.
"I'll come to pick you up in five minutes", he told her hanging up as she sat on the bench outside her sweet home. She wanted to speak to him directly. She didn't want to feel dirty about herself her whole life.
Five minutes later, Kinshuk reached her. She thanked him for taking out time for her.
"Are you mad, Tara? You don't need to thank me. Just because you are getting married to Bhai, it doesn't mean our bonding will change", he told her on the way to Khurana companies, the head office of this MNC.
"Come with me", he said taking her to the top floor. He didn't ask her what was wrong because he knew it was something sensitive. Arjun's secretary stood up to greet Kinshuk but he just showed her his hand to keep sitting.
He knocked on the dark door as Tara now felt nervous. She started playing with her fingers.
"You stay here. I'll come in a minute", He told her before entering inside.
"Bhaiya", he called Arjun who was busy signing a few papers.
"Not now Kinshuk. I am busy right now", Arjun told him without looking up.
"Not me Bhaiya somebody else wants to meet you", he told her making him frown as he looked up keeping his pen on the table. Kinshuk pushed the door open.
Arjun leaned back to see who it was to find his to-be-wife there looking downwards playing with her fingers.
Arjun motioned Kinshuk to leave as Kinshuk pulled Tara inside before leaving himself closing the door behind. Arjun looked at her for a moment taking in her innocent appearance.
He was dying to hear her voice for so long.
Knowing that she wasn't going to speak, he continued doing his work.
"If you are going to stand there silently, stand in a corner. Don't be a distraction", he came out to be extremely rude as she pushed her hair strands back.
"Ji?", she tried to understand what he meant.

"You here are acting as a distraction to me, Tara", he pointed out as she bit her lips.
"What brings you here?", he asked her at last as she played with her fingers.
"I wanted... wanted to meet you in...per...person and say no to this marriage", she told him as his pen stopped. He looked up to find her shivering with fear.
"And what could be the reason behind it", he asked her as she gulped.
"I don't want to marry you", she said her voice shivering.
He stood up from his place making her take a step back.
"I didn't even take a step towards you till now", he told her looking at her like a beast looking at his prey.
She told herself to stand on her ground as he took step towards her but the moment he entered her personal space she started taking steps back hitting her back on the wooden door.
"What is the reason Tara?", he asked moving closer to her face. She closed her eyes before wincing when he bit her earlobe.
"Please. Don't touch me. I don't like this", she told him nearly crying.
"I asked you the reason", he said coldly holding her elbow in a tight grip.
"I like somebody else", she told him with teary eyes.
"And do you think I care", he told her as tears escaped her eyes.
"No I don't like him, I love him", she corrected herself.
"You can get thousands no millions of girls for yourself. Please... please leave me", she pleaded joining her hands with tears falling down her cheek.
"And then you tell me I can get millions of girls. Where will I get somebody who can't even lie properly?", he asked caressing her wet cheeks. She sobbed closing her eyes feeling his touch.
"I don't want people to call me a gold digger", she cried with his fingers still caressing her cheek.
"Who said that?", he said in a hard voice but she remain silent.
"My father's friend Aarush Mahlan, he asked my hand for his son. I know Ankush from childhood, I would marry only him", she said still crying.
"I know it's not true, love but the fact that you let out the name of another male from this beautiful lips of yours makes me extremely angry", he told her taking a few steps back before pushing his hair back.
He removed his thick jacket throwing it on his leather chair.
He tried to calm his anger taking deep breaths but nothing work. He picked up the flower pot from the table before throwing it on the wall making her jump. He continued throwing things on the wall. When this didn't work, he walked to the wall punching on the punching bag hanged in a corner.
She gasped before reaching him trying to calm him down.
"What are you doing? Leave it", she told him trying to stop him but nothing worked. When he didn't stop, she pushed the bag behind coming in between. She closed her eyes in fear but nothing happened.
She opened her eyes to find his fist a few centimeters away from her face.

"Please", she pleaded looking at him in his eyes.
He walked closer to her holding the punching bag behind her successfully trapping her.
"Baby, never say any male name claiming you love him. I lose myself at that point", he told her as she cried with loud sobs.
"What should I do then? You want to marry me. You are forcing me but the world doesn't know this. They think I am marrying you for your money. But I am doing no such thing. I didn't even want to get married for that matters", she cried.
"Baby doll, go home. Nobody is saying anything. Even if they are, they don't mean anything to me. The person who means the world to me is you", he told her as she blinked a few times.
"We are getting married and that is final", he told her harshly making her cry more loudly.
"I hate you", she cried running out of his cabin. He closed his eyes punching his fist on the punching bag behind him.
He walked out of the cabin to find Kinshuk standing there with a worried look.
"Where is she?", Arjun asked him as Kinshuk shook his head.
"Fuck!", he whispered calling his guards to find his wife.
She ran away from the building not caring about the people who looked at her. She continued walking through the crowd.
When she realized where she was, she was standing in front of a gurudwara.
She remembered her brother telling her that these places always gave peace to one's mind. She walked inside the building removing her sandals keeping them in the place specified for them.
She covered her head with her dupatta sitting in a corner listening to the holy words sung in the holy place.
She closed her eyes remembering every single word she heard in this time duration.
It wasn't the first time people joined her sudden marriage and money. It wasn't the first time, they questioned her intentions behind her marriage. Tears continued falling down her cheek as she remembered every single bad word she heard.
One thing she could never handle was being blamed for something she didn't do.
After an hour or so, she felt a presence beside her. She opened her eyes to find Arjun sitting beside her joining his hands.
He looked at her feeling her eyes on him. Her face was red along with her nose.
He wiped her tears making her gulp.
"Come with me", he told her holding her hands before nodding at the priest who started chanting the guru Granth sahib as the laavan.
She stared at him in confusion as he lead the way holding her hand taking four rounds of the holy book. They sat in front of the book as he motioned her to take blessings. She was still confused but did as asked. She didn't want to be disrespectful towards god.
"Happy married life, Wifey", he whispered in her ear as she frowned.
"Ji?", she asked.
"Have you been in a Sikh marriage?", he asked her as she shook her head which made him smile.
"We just took four rounds around the holy book which means we are married", he told her as she gasped.
"I thought to give you time but you wanted it the hard way", he told her as she stared at him in shock.
"Now an important question. Would you like to go back with me to my place as my bride or go back to your place and happily take part in all the rituals of our marriage?", he asked her but she continued being silent. He held her shoulders.
"You are my wife now and I won't leave any single person unharmed who hurt you", he told her holding her hand pulling her out with him. They took the ceremonial sweet before walking out of the gurudwara.
"Come", he asked walking to the car.
"Why are you doing this to me?", she asked softly.
"I don't remember doing anything bad to you that you are forcing me to do things against my will. I also wanted to fall in love like my parents and your parents did but you took that right from me as well", she spoke in a mere whisper.
He pushed her onto his car trapping her completely but she didn't move this time. Her eyes were filled with tears but she denied to let them out at this moment.
"Tara, baby, I do love you. And I am sure you would start loving me as well. And for last. Don't compare our love with my parents'. You are nothing like my mother", he told her. The last part was spoken in a harsh tone making her gulp.
He took a deep breath calming his senses when her scent hit him. Her body fragrance weirdly was very calming for him.
"Now that you are my wife, it's my responsibility to take care of you. I know I have only hurt you till now. From today I promise you, you would stay like my queen. The one and only woman I would ever look at would be you and solely you. You are mine forever", he stated resting his forehead on hers.
"Can I ask you something? Promise me you'll give it to me", she whispered as he hummed.
"Not a divorce though", he said as she opened her eyes immediately.
"You aren't smart enough my love", he said kissing her forehead before opening the door of his white Porsche pointing her to enter inside.
She blinked twice before entering inside too lost with what happened today with her.
"I'll pick and drop you at your college tomorrow", he told her but she didn't answer him. She felt like she was trapped in a cage from where leaving was not a question. She felt miserable and helpless at this point.
He radiant a dark and scary aura from him. She should be scared of him and she is scared of him but she couldn't deny the fact that her heart seems to find warmth in his darkness. She always felt a magnetic attraction towards him but she never thought he would do something like this and marry her without her knowledge.
