Next day, I woke up at 8 am by my phone going off. It was an unknown number.

"Hello?", I answered.

"Emily! Get your ass here. We have to do decorations and all. Do you suppose me to do that all alone?". No doubt that was Stacy.

"This early",I asked in my sleepy voice.

"Yes. Hurry up!",and the line disconnected.

I groaned but got up. Wore my jeans and a comfortable top with that.

I hurried to the door when my mom came from her room.

"Where are you going darling this early?",she asked

"I told you about Noah's birthday. Stacy want me there to help her in decorating",i explained her.

Then I realized i didn't have the address to her house.I texted Stacy and she said Zach was coming to get me.

I waited in the kitchen. Mom again went in her room to get her precious beauty sleep.

The bell rang. I got up and hurried to the door. Why was i so excited?. I also didn't know.

I opened the door. Zach was standing there in all his glory, wearing a casual dress , blue faded jeans with a cream coloured button down shirt that was emphasizing the green colour of his eyes. His shirt was tight on him which was making his muscles to bulge.

"Done checking me out?",his voice brought me in the real world.

Then i realized what he said. Oh i was checking him out?

I blushed." I was not checking you out".

Zach shrugged in response and gestured me to come.

We sat in the car and he roared the engine to life.

I rested my head on the window and saw the world passing. I closed my eyes and slept.

"Emily",someone shook my shoulder.

I opened my eyes and saw a huge mansion in front of me.

"Will you come out or just stare it all day", Zach chuckled.

I hopped out of the car and admired the beauty in front of me.

The mansion had 3 small gardens with a hut inbetween them.There was a swimming pool at the other corner. The big ground had a beautiful fountain in its centre which was enhancing its beauty. The plants were perfectly trimmed. Colourful flowers adorning the greenery.

I literally started dancing when i saw peacocks at the other end.

"You also have peacocks",i asked

Zach looking at them dreamily.

"My parents have",he corrected something was odd in his tone, i couldn't pinpoint because i was too busy in relishing the beauty infront of me.

There wer alot of fruit plants including pomegranate ,

oranges,guava,lemons and grapes.

The gardeners were doing their work of maintaining the beauty of gardens.

We went in. The interior was also breathtaking. The expensive crystal chandeliers was adding the beauty of the house. The decorative expensive vases were placed in the hallways.

A little cute boy came out of one hallway and jumped on Zach hugging him."Zach Uncle".

Zach laughed and hugged him ruffling his hair." Hey birthday boy"

No doubt that was Noah. He was cute with blue twinkling eyes and light brown hair with cute spikes. He smiled and his cute little dimple took my heart away.

"Who is she?",he asked pointing to me.

"She is Emily. My-" he thought for a second then said "friend".

He clearly didn't know where our relation lies.

"Helloww",he extended his hands and I shook it saying " hello"

"You are cute",i told him and he blushed. How adorable.

"You are also cute",Noah said and Zach chuckled.

Zach ruffled his hair." Where is your mom",zach asked him.

"Mommy is in kitchen",he pointed to the kitchen and left us disappearing somewhere.

We headed to the kitchen. Noises were coming from the kitchen indicating that many people were there.

The kitchen was very large and expensive looking just as i expected.

There were butlers and in them i spotted two ladies directing them.

"Hey.Emily",Stacy greeted me when she noticed us.

The other women was clearly in her thirties.

"Mom. Its Emily",Zach introduced us.

His mom greeted me eyeing me from head to toe. Her expression telling me that I was not supposed to be there.

My mood dropped down instantly.

"Lets go in lounge Emily",Stacy pulled me out of the kitchen.Zach didn't followed.

We went there and started with the decorations.Zach also came after sometime and helped us.We were chattering but an awkward aura was present which was created after meeting his mom.And Zach was giving me apologetic looks now and then but I ignored it. I tried to smile and not to show the sudden change in my mood.

I was hanging the birthday banner,i tried to hang it high,when my foot slipped and soon i was falling.

I was ready for the impact of the floor with my back but strong warm arms came from somewhere and caught me.

"Be careful Emily",said Zach.

We were really really close. His warm breath was tickling my face. We were staring into eachothers eyes. His eyes soon flickered to my lips. This close proximity was making all my senses fuzzy so I also peeked his lips which were looking plushy and soft. He closed the distance by lowering his head.We were about to kiss when someone cleared his throat.

We both jumped aside making a suitable distance between us.

His mom was standing there glaring daggers my way.

"Zach I need your help.Come here",and she went with that.

Zach looked at me last time and went. Stacy was nowhere to be seen so i hunt for her in the hallways.

Zach's mom voice came from a room.

I was not going to eavesdrop but my name in the conversation got my attention.

"She is a low standard just money wanting girl Zach. Why don't you understand",Zach's mom said.

"Mom Don't talk about her like that.She is from a respectable family",Zach's angry voice came.

"You know I am dreaming about your's and chloe's marriage. You just can't ruin it like that. That girl loves you",his mom said.

That was it. He had a girlfriend and he didn't tell me.Tears started running down my cheeks.I made my way to the outside with blurry eyes. I was hurt really hurt. I just wanted to escape some where. I didn't know the way home. I started walking through the vacant streets. The evening was falling but i was so much hurt to noticed that.
