After a month:

Zach was perfectly fine now. He could walk properly without any support. He also started going to office and everything was perfectly normal again.

Allen and Anna were planning to applying at the same university and Derek was still the same player with the barbie dolls chasing after him where he went.

Derek came to my home whenever he was free and had no date which was impossible.

I was helping mom in kitchen when the door bell rang.

"I will see it", I said mom and wiped my hands with a cloth.

I opened the door and Derek was standing there with a huge grin on his face. I rolled my eyes how could anyone be that happy all the time.

He barged in and greeted my mom loudly followed by the overly excited 'hello' from my mom. She came out and started her questions 'How are you' and 'Hows your aunt uncle?' And stuff like that.

I didn't know why my mom always treated every other guy as her own son. First Allen and now Derek. I remembered how I hate it at first when mom used to do the same with Allen. But then he fitted in the picture. I think mom did that because she always wanted to have a son. It was not like she didn't like daughters but I could see the love for son in her eyes.

At first, that used to disturb me a little but then I thought that I was being selfish.

Derek started to call her mom. His parents were dead and he was living with his aunt and uncle. He said that he liked it when my mom cares and loves him as if he were his son.

So the bond between my mom and Derek was getting stronger each day. Now he ate dinner with us mostly. And talking about our bond? With each passing day , our bickering and useless fights were increasing. He was sometimes so annoying that I wanted to murder him literally.

"You don't have any date today? ", I asked sarcastically.

"I can have if you want to", he smirked while flickering through the channels.

"Are you hitting on me?", I asked challenging him.

"What it looks like?", he rose one eyebrow implying his meaning.

"You know who I am dating?"

He grimaced. "You don't have a taste"

His expression made me laugh so hard. I didn't know why Derek was always hitting on me. Maybe just to annoy me.

"So?" , he asked after a minute.

"So what?" , I asked him confused.

"About a date" , he wiggled his eyebrows.

I erupted into laughter. That guy was totally and utterly insane.

" Idiot" , I smacked his head earning a glare from him.

I knew he was just kidding that was his way to tease me but in reality I was enjoying it.

The door bell rang and I went to see who was outside. As I opened the door , the familiar husky cologne hit my nostrils making my senses wild.

Zach was standing there wearing blue jeans and a button down shirt. His twinkling eyes and messy hair style were turning me on. Without any warning I pounced on him. The excitement to see him here was making me insane. He stiffened at first but eased in my embrace.

" Are we desperate here?" , he said tickling my cheeks with his warm breath.

Oh. What I was doing? I hurriedly get away from his embrace hiding my red cheeks with my hair.

He chuckled and again pulled me into his chest. "Did I tell you I actually loved it?"

Then his soft lips made contact with my forehead making me to close my eyes automatically. My hands made there way to his hair and before I knew it I started to lean in.

Our lips were just millimeters away when someone cleared his throat. We both came out of the trance and saw Derek making faces behind us.

I glared him and he rolled his eyes.

"What are you doing here?" , Zach asked angrily.

" I can come here when I want"

"You-"

"Guys shut up! Stop acting like freaking kids" , I interjected them before they started world war III.

"But-" , Zach tried to say something but again I cut him , pulling him outside.

" Zach. Listen please I know you don't like him but please he is my friend. He helped me when you were not there for me. Infact , when no one was there for me." , a look of hurt and regret pass through his eyes.

" Just accept him" , he looked away

"Please just for me" , I said pleadingly

He looked my way and hugged me. "Shh Stop pleading"

"Ok. Just because you say so" , he said.

"Yayy" , I jumped in excitement and Zach was not expecting it so he lost his balance and we both fell on the ground with Zach under me.

"Ouch" , he cried.

I started laughing still hovering over him and soon he joined me.

Suddenly , the front door opened and mom came out.

"What happened- oh Sorry I didn't know that you two could start anywhere" , she hurriedly turned away.

"No it's not like what you are thinking" , Zach tried to explain while getting up and helping me too.

"Oh dear you don't have to explain. You two could have get cold out here." She said

"But we were-"

"Sorry for interrupting you guys. But you can start whatever you were doing in Emily's room" , she winked and went in.

"You are blushing?" , I pinched his cheeks.

"No!", he groaned hiding his face from me.

I laughed and we both went in.

Derek was already there in the lounge watching something on TV.

"Zach stay for the lunch. I am just done cooking lasagne" , Mom came out of the kitchen.

"Thanks but we are going out actually" , he said

"Oh it's okay Derek and I will eat it" , she replied.

"But actually you know what pack our lasange. We will eat it" , he suggested.

That bought a huge smile on mom's face "Okay loved your idea" , she went into the kitchen excitedly.

"You wait here. I will change" , I told him and gave him a look to behave with Derek.

"Okay" and he sat on the sofa away from Derek.

After changing into something good when I came down , Zach was nowhere to be seen and Derek was still sittting on the sofa as I left him.

"Where's Zach?" , I asked him.

"I don't know" , he simply said and again turned to TV.

"Why I am having a feeling that you did something!?" , I looked at him accusingly.

" Yeah you don't know I have magic and I vanished him from my magic. Should I try on you too?" , he said doing that weird gestures.

"Shut up!" , I rolled my eyes.

"You ready?" , Zach came from outside.

"Yeah. Where were you?"

"I was putting the lasagne in the car" , he replied.

I nodded.

"Emily!" , Suddenly Derek spoke.

"Yeah?"

"You are looking beautiful"

I glared him which he returned with a flying kiss.

I then looked at the steaming Zach and pleaded him with my eyes not to say anything.

"Let's go" , he gritted his teeth and I followed him outside.

We sat in the car and he said nothing. We both were silent and Zach was racing the car in full speed and taking out all his anger.

"Zach?"

No reply.

"Zach?"

Still no reply. Instead he increased the speed if that was even possible.

"Zach!!" , this time I shouted and suddenly car came to an halt and I bounced in my seat.

He was still looking forward.

"If you are just here to spoil my day then I am going" , I was just about to open the door when he stopped me.

"I am sorry. He just know how to push my right buttons" , he apologized.

"He just wanted this reaction and you are giving him"

"Okay I am sorry" , he touched his ears childishly.

I smacked his head and laughed.

He started the car and the environment of the car suddenly came to normal.

"Where we are going?"

"Surprise"

"Ugh. No I hate surprises" , I pouted.

He instantly gave me a kiss on my pout.

"Look on the road" , I shouted and slapped his shoulder and his laughter boomed in the car making me to laugh too.

And then all the way we were laughing like freaks just over NOTHING. Yes we were officially mad.

Soon we were there and I jumped in excitment when I saw were it was.

"That's your same secret place" , I said with my eyes twinkling like a child.

"Yes" , he chuckled.

He opened my door and I jumped on him.

"Woah" , he tried to balance us but we both fell down.

He groaned and I laughed at his expression.

He helped me up and we made our way to the waterfall.

It seemed like an other world. The tranquil sound of waterfall flowing and chirping of birds stirred the solace into the soul.

Everthing was perfect. Thye sunrays peeking through the long trees was making the whole scene even more breathtaking.

"I love this place" , I told him.

"I thought you were going to say I love you" , he pouted.

I laughed and kissed his cheek."I love you"

I didn't know this place was doing something and making me feel so confident.

"I love you too" , he said huskily in my ear.

His voice was enough to turn me on. I pushed him behind to the tree and kissed him full on the lips.

He stiffened really not expecting that. But soon deepened the kiss. My hands started to play with the hair on his mane. His lips sucked on my neck and I shivered with the pleasure.

"You never fail to amaze me" , he said inbetween the kisses and I blushed.

"Emily?" , he suddenly stopped and became serious.

"Yeah?" , I asked worriedly.

"Do you love me?" , he asked.

"Yeah. I love you" , I wanted to laugh at his stupid question.

He suddenly bent on his knees and took out something from his back.

My eyes popped out. Hey guys no it was not what you and I was expecting. It was a lasagne.

I looked at him ridiculously and he made an innocent face.

"What? Ain't you hungry?"

I nodded my head in confusion.

"Let's eat then"

We sat on the smooth rock and started eating. I didn't know why but suddenly my heart started to ache.

Suddenly something hard came under my teeth and I spit it out. I looked down and a ring was shinning on the rock. I looked at Zach and he was smiling.

He picked it up and wiped the crumbs from it. It was the same diamond ring which he gave me when he asked me to be his girlfriend and I returned him back when I broke up with him.

He bend on his knees again and asked me.

"Will you marry me?"

The tears started to run down my cheeks. My heart forgot how to beat in excitement and it felt that I was going to die with so much happiness.
