《Supergirl》Chapter 24

I pushed the doors open to school to be greeted by hundreds of students pushing through the hallway. I tried to fit my way through the crowd, but with my tall height I had no such luck. I was just about to get to my locker when I heard a familiar voice.
"Hey Chrissy!" I winced because I knew I had to give Jake an answer.
"Hey Jake." I greeted slowly turning around. He took a few steps a closer which meant he wanted me to give him my answer.
"Look you're an amazing friend. I feel like if we dated we could ruin that friendship. And like I said I am careful with who I date. I just don't think now is the right time." I answered slowly just spitting out whatever came to my mind.
"I get it. It's okay I understand. Wouldn't want to ruin our friendship now would I."
Jake quickly turned on his heel and walked away. The one word that came to my mind was friendzoned. I watch that show and I felt like I was on it.
I walked to my locker trying to convince myself I did the right thing by saying no.
"Hi." I heard someone say simply. I looked at my right to see Johnny standing there hands in his pockets.
"What do you want Johnny?" I snapped not in the mood to strike up a conversation.
"I can tell you're not in the mood, but I just need one quick favor." he said quickly. I slammed my locker, well not to hard for me anyways, and strode down the hallway to Pre-Calculus. "They're these guys that have been annoying me for a few weeks and I just thought that maybe you could... I don't know. Give them a taste of their own medicine."
I stopped in the middle of the hallway which was now emptying. "You want me to beat them up?" I questioned surprised. He nodded his head and I snorted at him. "You know it doesn't work like that. I'm not just going to beat them up. So no is your answer."
"Awe come on Chris! Please!" He pleaded, but I ignored him walking up to my class.
"Sorry Johnny, not happening." I deadpanned and he frowned. I opened the door the classroom. I quickly got to my seat as the late bell went off.

Knowing me and my hate for math I knew I would either zone out or draw so I got my notebook out to draw on. I looked at the person beside me to see the green-eyed girl with black hair who was at the table when me and Liz sat there the first time.
"It's Raven, right?" I asked and she nodded smiling.
"Yeah, and you're Chris. Rick's girlfriend." I shook my head in annoyance.
"He's not my boyfriend." she laughed and I looked around to make sure no one noticed.
"I'm just teasing you. It's just that he always talks about you." she explained emphasizing "always."
"Well what about you and Johnny?" I asked raising my eyebrow.
"He's not my type."
"Oh and what is your type?" I persisted and she sighed thinking.
"I like chubby blondes." she stated shrugging her shoulders and pursing her lips. I chuckled at her and shook my head.
"Whatever. It's not like I noticed you guys making googily eyes at each other.
"At least we admit it." she whispered smirking.

I leaned against the wall outside waiting for my dad to come pick me up. A black sports car drove up and stopped in front me. The person inside rolled their window down.
"Need a ride?" Asked the ginger inside. I smiled at how funny he looked trying to pose. Nacho Libre came to mind.
"I'm good thanks." I replied shaking my head.
"Your loss." he said throwing his hands in the air.
"Come on Wally we don't have all day." Rick exclaimed as he jogged up to the car not noticing me.
"Alright just get in!" Wally replied unlocking the car. Just before Rick got in he noticed me leaning against the wall.
"Hey Chris." He greeted smiling. He looked so cute with his emerald green eyes that popped out because his green sweater.
"Hey." I said simply.
"How 'bout you get in the car before you guys start doing googily eyes!" Wally stated making Rick quickly get in the car.
"See ya Wally." I said to make him feel better. Rick punched his shoulder as Wally winked at me.
"You have a girlfriend." Rick said shaking his head as they drove off.

My dad came shortly after and I hopped in his red car.
"You gonna put on the mask tonight?" My dad asked as I buckled up my seatbelt.
"I think so." I answered smiling.
As soon as we got home I did my homework as fast as I could and put on my suit. Opening my window I flew out loving the feeling of the wind in my face. It was around eleven so I had time till I met up with NightWing. I stopped at our roof top and sat on the edge waiting to hear some kind of trouble.
"This is my roof top." said a deep voice behind me, but not NightWing's. I quickly turned around to see Kid Flash standing there in his yellow suit. He must of noticed my scared face because he burst out laughing. "Y-you're...face." He mustered between breaths. He slowly caught his breath looking at me still chuckling softly. "You looked so pale." I looked away and he sat beside me on the roof his legs dangling off.
"How did you do that with your voice?" I asked and he smiled.
"I vibrate my vocal cords." he answered proudly. "Aren't you afraid of falling?" He questioned looking down.
"Sometimes, but then I remember I can fly." I answered and his face dropped. I laughed lightly as his expression.
"So who's this girlfriend Superboy mentioned last time?" I asked turning to look at him.
"Her name is Artemis. She's on our team, Young Justice."
"You mean the girl in the green costume? I've seen her on TV. She shoots a bow and arrow right?"
"Yeah, Green Arrow is her trainer." he said looking down probably thinking about her.
"Oliver his pretty cool." I stated smiling. Kid Flash looked at me wide-eyed.
"Anymore identities you should tell me?" He asked and I looked at him in pure shock. He laughed and I regained my composure.
"No." I answered simply. There was an awkward silence before he decided to break it.
"Don't you ever want to just quit?" He asked and I furrowed my eyebrows confused at what he was getting at. "You know, not want to be a hero anymore."
"Oh... well Kryptonians, or most Kryptonians, have a hero complex. We feel the urge to help people. That's why Superboy even with his temper still helps people."
"Oh, I guess sometimes I just want to get a real job and settle down. I'm just not all for the hero stuff. At first I did it just because I thought it would be fun, but now I'm not so sure." he truthfully replied. I put my hand on his to comfort him.
"You'll know what to do when the time comes."
"Thanks Supergirl!" He said enthusiastically grabbing my hand tighter and putting his head on my shoulder. He let out a sigh as he got comfortable. I rolled my eyes at him, but still let him put his head on my shoulder.
We heard someone clear their throat behind us. We both turned around to see NightWing or Rick smirking.
"KF, I see you've found our roof top." he said and I let go his hand. I was surprised to see Rick smirking as if he didn't care.
"Well, I better be going." Kid Flash announced as he zoomed off before either of us could say anything.
"You don't care?" I questioned as I got up.
"Nah, he's a huge flirt." he said chuckling. "Now I have a question for you."
I was anxious to hear what he had to say. He took off his mask for emphasis. "Will you go to the Winter Formal with me?" He asked. I didn't think I would be going to our schools dance this year. Especially not with Richard Grayson!
"Yes! Of course." I answered hugging him tightly. He returned the hug and kissed me on the cheek. Lingering there I closed my eyes and he slowly backed away.
"Well, I'll see ya later then." he said and I nodded at a lost for words. He shot his grapple hook and flew off leaving me on the roof top smiling like an idiot.
I definitely have a crush on Richard Grayson. Wait, I already knew that. I'm worse the Kid Flash.

Don't easily bow down to anyone, or accept suppression by any being, not even from a monarch, unless you pledge your allegiance to him. Also, giving in to oppression is directly telling the oppressor that you're easy prey and open for manipulation." He is uncertain on how to face this oppression right now. Will he bows or not? As for the prince, Theodrech has nothing to do with Freidrech, so he wishes to let this slip, but the boy opens his mouth and proposes the most ludicrous challenge he ever heard and triggers his curiosity. This amuses the prince. It is the first he met a boy of the same age who is not intimidated by the air of authority he projects. Rather, this boy challenges him. "Why are you so headstrong? In fact, bowing to me is an honor. You saw the King's noble Knights. When they saw me, they bowed," says Theodrech, testing Freidrech. "Allow me to be forward, Your Highness. For me, bowing to a monarch does not guarantee loyalty. If I were you, I rather have men who stand straight in my presence but who got my back, than bowing men who are dreaming of my death," replies Freidrech. The prince’s curiosity increases. A huge smile is seen on his face. Prince Theodrech decides to take Freidrech under his wing. Myra Kahani lives in a world of gods and prayers. People around her constantly reach out to the gods for advice and suggestions at critical times in their life. But Myra has a problem. No matter what she does, she can't talk to the gods. When Myra meets Roam, an old, enigmatic Storyteller, she finally gets some answers. She learns of the origins of the Universe, the divide between mankind and their deities, and the important role that Storytellers play in her world. As such, they have a strong basis in the myths and folklore of various cultures and religions. Join me as I try my best to integrate these stories into my own and develop the world of the Storytellers and Myra herself. This is my first attempt at any sort of longer-form fiction so helpful advice is greatly appreciated!

Fire and Shadows. Legend of the breaker. (Hiatus until ??)
Traditions lost, books burned, ancient knowledge forever spurned. It began with fire, the great Sirionean, all dominating desert creating pyre. And it ended thusly just aswell, t'was the great Empire's deathknell. The crackling of the burning books, dangling corpses on rusty hooks. The yellow streets of Heabury proper, colored red with human copper. -? S.V, Scholar of Dawn.' -- Author note: Hi, SeV here. I'm not a fan of writing my entire story premise in the synopsis. For that, read the prologue and chapter 1. Suffice it to say that I think it's a cool idea and I already have a few things planned and a world sort of formed in my mind. I like Epic fantasy, lightnovels with OP MCs, Litrpg, sci-fi, any many other things. This story is written for myself, so it may include all sorts of diffent elements and character interactions and even experimental things that I'm trying out as a writer in order to improve. My intention with this is to pretty much post as I write, and acquire feedback from you folks in the process. I of course hope you like my story, but feel free to criticize anything since this is a project to improve myself. Even if it isn't strictly criticism, any feedback positive or negative is welcome since I am interested in what other people think of my writing style and what I can improve on. Since it's growing generically I'll be interested in your thoughts and speculations on future events and any suggestions moving forward will be taken into consideration. Hope you enjoy my stuff. - SeV
