《Dr Luthor - Supergirl AU》I'm not Super

"A Luthor and a Super working together, who would have guessed?"
"Just because I am cousins with the great 'Superman' doesn't mean I count as a Super." I hated when I was compared to Clarke. The great Dr Kent.
"I mean, they have started calling you Supergirl." She grinned and took another bite of her lunch. I rolled my eyes and drank the rest of my smoothie. "Why are you always drinking these things?" She grabbed it before I could react and looked at the sticker on the side. I grabbed it back from her quickly, slightly showing off my talents.
"My reflexes are better than you think." I joked.
"I hate having bad reflexes."
"People with bad reflexes are bad at surgery. You, Dr Luthor, are amazing at surgery." She stood up, starting to walk away. I smiled, full of faith in my best friend. "Lena?" She turned. "Tell me I am going to get through this. Tell me I am going to do well."
"Kara, you do well every time. That one time doesn't define you."
"It still scares me to death that..."
"You can't save every person you operate on. That particular man, he was beyond saving. It's a miracle you were able to do as much as you did. It's a miracle he is even alive."
"He died last night, Lena. Because of a mistake I made." Her eyes turned to sympathy as she pulled me in for a hug.
"You will do so well. You are going to save this guy. It's a simple Elbow Arthroscopy, you will do fine." She gave me a pat on the back and a kiss on the hand. "Meet me at our spot after the surgery if all goes well." I nodded and she walked away, leaving me standing out the front of the room.

I ran to my best friend, beaming with excitement. I sat on the step below her so we were at eye level. She had hated that I was that bit taller than her since the moment we met, I loved being the taller one, it meant she had to wear heels if she wanted to be near my height.
"I take it everything went well?"
"I'm here, aren't I?"
"I can see in your eyes that it didn't go completely smoothly." I glared at her, trying to let her know that I didn't want to talk about it. "Okay... fine. But he is okay?"
"Yeah. He is fine. Everything went well in the end." I tried not to think about how many times I freaked out and almost killed the poor man.
"Supergirl did it." She giggled. I glared at her again with tears in my eyes.
"I'm not Super."
