《Dr Luthor - Supergirl AU》Repercussions

Almost a million people died and another half a million were harmed by the poisoning last week. It is rumoured that it was the work of a new villain in National City but others think it was just the Black Plague making a sudden appearance. Either way, if you ever feel the symptoms listed right here, please contact your closest hospital immediately for a check-up.
I turned the TV off and stood up, feeling slightly dizzy but maintaining my stance as my police scanner went off. "Three burglars are holding a couple hostage. Back-up needed, now!"
"Time for some crime-fighting," I said to myself. I grabbed my suit and climbed my stairs to my helicopter, where I greeted my pilot and told him to get to the address that was given in the call for back-up. We used the fancy tech that I had 'borrowed' from my last job and we went into invisible mode. I looked out into the night sky and smiled when I felt the cool night wind on my face. I loved flying, it made me feel free. Even if I was stuck in this helicopter.
When we arrived, a SWAT team was surrounding the building and I could tell they were trying to negotiate with the bad guys. I smiled as I jumped down and landed softly on the roof I took off my glider suit and got changed into the bulletproof one. I found where the room was and planted a bomb on top, quickly creeping a few metres away and covering my ears as the large 'boom' shook the whole building.
I dropped down and took out all but one of the bad guys. I looked up at him, he had a blister on his face and an angry look in his eyes. I dodged a few punches before one hit me in the face, right above my eye. I swung my foot around and kicked him in the side, then elbowed him in the face. I was careful not to pop the blister as I was pretty sure it was from the virus. I sighed when I felt the small sting on my eyebrow, knowing it would be hard to explain to Lena and Alex.

(The Next Morning)
"Hey, Kara. Long night?" Alex's eyes narrowed to the left of my forehead as she had just noticed the rather deep cut.
"Yeah, I... fell out of bed." I mentally slapped myself in the face. Nice save, Kara.
"Sure, whatever you tell yourself. Anyways, the guy that the vigilante caught last night..."
"She isn't a vigilante..." I immediately regretted my decision to speak up. "Go on."
"The guy had the virus and that's why he was holding those people hostage. They were negotiating with Maggie's team for hours trying to get the cure."
"Couldn't they have just come to the hospital?"
"That's where it gets maddening," She opened up her phone, showing me a page about the government's new policy, "People now have to pay for this cure. The damn government is making people pay for something that they need to stop themselves from dying from this horrific way."
"That's intense."
"What's worse is that the price is so high, not many people can afford it. That's why this guy was going to drastic measures to get it. His mother and brother both have it too."
"He was just trying to cure his family."
"The repercussions of this new policy... it's sickening. It still doesn't justify trying to steal a thousand dollar cure though."
"Still..." She walked off with a huff.
"Alex, wait! Have you seen Lena today?" She turned and shook her head before turning back and continuing to walk away. Ever since Clarke caught us kissing, Lena has been MIA. What's worse is, Clarke is missing too.

Core .001
This is a story of Shiro, a 12 year old girl who wished to adventure around the world. Only to end up in an untimely death. When she wakes up, she finds herself in what seems to be a new world, and her body has changed to that of a catkin. Using her knowledge from knowing literature of people in similar situations and adventuring, she tries to make a place for herself in this new world. Only to find out that reality is far crueler than one would imagine. Even with what one would call an OP unique skill and other OP advantages, she finds things quickly fall apart regardless how hard she tries. Thus she seeks more and more power to not only survive, but to protect what is important to her. Unbeknownst to her though, lies within her an ancient power time primordial. A power so vast it can bring anything to its knees. This ancient power can easily be unlocked with just one sentence, but this sentence shall never be spoken. Instead, Shiro will embark on a new path to gaining a new different kind of power as she moves forward in this new world. WARNING: The first few volumes will have tragedy, which will disappear at around Volume 5 or 6. From then on it will be just pure OP-ness and having fun. While I personally like OP characters and don’t like tragedies myself, I think it is unrealistic that a person goes to an unknown and everything just magically go their way via plot armor. So I wanted to build up a more realistic OP reincarnation novel where MC struggles through a new world regardless of their advantages due to gaps in knowledge (despite how prepared she was) and simply not having enough strength at the time. ------------------------------------------- This is my first poor attempt at a story. I read a lot of novels overall and was in the mood to see how well I can write one. Expect a lot of mistakes here and there as I am pretty new to writing. Releases should be about 2 times a week(changed due to chapter size pretty much doubling) unless stated otherwise or inbetween volumes. I will at least commit to finishing the volume I am on (Nothing worse than a story being cut off mid story). So give me your comments what you think. I don't mind if the comments are bad and etc. Just lay off the grammar nazi (My only weakness)

Surviving it is a feat in itself, and the memories you make may haunt you forever. So this is my guide to the good, the bad, and the ugly of surviving teenagehood.
