《Pied Piper | {K.NJ}》Chapter 1

You rested your chin on your curled fingers as you stare out of the window as always. Class was going on but nothing interesting enough to capture your attention. Another boring day you suppose.
Outside in the school field, you noticed someone waving at you. Blonde haired boy, in his PE uniform, had been trying to get your attention since a while ago. He was playing soccer with his classmates. You could tell that they were having sports class.
Your lips curved up and you glanced at the teacher before you waved back so that you wouldn't get caught.
He saw it and curved his arms up with his hands bend right above his head to form a heart shape.
You giggled softly and send him a small heart back with your fingers.
He waved again and ran back to join his friends. At least, you have something to keep you occupied during this boring class.

You could finally stretch your arms out and enjoy the moment freely. It was lunch break and as usual, you and your girls placed the tables together to have your meal. There were four of you seated with your packed lunches in the classroom. You don't go to the canteen.
Why would you when you have delicious lunchbox that could easily challenge the five star restaurants?
You opened the box and the sight of the food inside amazed your friends as always.
"The food is so beautiful just like the person who cooked it," one of your Friend, Minji said.
You rolled your eyes and took a bite. Everyone in your group knows that Minji has a huge crush on your Brother, Kim Seokjin.
It's not surprising though. He has plenty of girls surrounding him all the time but too bad he only cares about his one and only sister which is you.
"Eat your food, Minji. We don't have much time to waste. You still haven't finish your math homework which you need to hand in by the end of the day." Another girl said as she pushed the black frame of her glasses up.
"Gosh, Eunha. You don't have to pop my bubble. At least let me imagine. Right, (Y/N)?"
You shrugged your shoulders and continued eating your food quietly. You were never the type to talk with your mouth full. That was basic table manners that your Brother taught you since you were young.

"Well, girls. Have you heard of the Pied Piper?"
Your ears pricked when you heard the word 'Pied Piper'. You glanced to your left where another one of your Friend was sitting.
"Is it that folk's tale? The one who plays magic flute and attracted children because the citizens wouldn't pay him for luring the rats away?" Minji answered.
She nodded and flicked her forefinger up.
"But this one is different. The Rumour is spreading across the city of Seoul."
"Get to the point, Jiyeon," Eunha told her, impatiently.
"Well... this Pied Piper is rather charming-no-drop dead gorgeous. No one managed to take a photo of him clearly yet but the girls who met him totally said he's seriously handsome." Jiyeon said with much excitement.
"But why is he called a Pied Piper?" Minji asked.
"That's the catch. He plays a flute and anyone who listens to it get attracted to that sound. But not everyone could hear it. I guess only ones he targets could."
"And what happens to those who hear it?" you asked which made all four of them to turn to you, surprised.
"What?"
"I wasn't expecting you to be interested in such topic."
You raised one of your eyebrow and pushed your lips to the side, indicating that you were not really amused by what Jiyeon just said.
She laughed and put her hands up in the air to show that she surrenders.
"According to the girls who were victims to his spell, they were heartbroken. He plays with the hearts of the girls. He's beautiful and dangerous at the same time." she squealed.
"He sounds so mysterious. I want to meet him." Minji squealed.
"You just want to meet him because he's beautiful," Eunha commented which made Minji stuck her tongue out.
"Not like you wouldn't want to meet him either."
"I do but I'm not only going for looks like you."
Minji gasped and then pouted. She made a 'hmph' sound as she turned her face away from Eunha and towards you.
"So, what do you think, (Y/N)?"
You looked at the girls and gave it a thought.
"I don't know. Isn't it better to stay away from someone like him?"
The three groaned in disappointment.
"That's boring."
"Well, she has the beautiful angel of our school. She wouldn't need to care."

You cleared your throat and drink water to swallow your food properly.
"Jimin has nothing to do with this."
"What has nothing to do with me, princess?"
You looked back and saw Jimin standing at the door. He smiled and walked towards you. He grabbed the nearest chair and sat next to you.
Park Jimin. Just like the girls said. He's the beautiful angel of the school because of his looks and personality of an angel. All the girls were swooning over him but his heart belonged to his childhood Friend, you.
"Did you have fun playing Soccer?" You asked as you playfully messed his hair up a bit.
He grinned and nodded his head.
"Did you see how I scored? I led my team to win!" He exclaimed with eyes sparkling.
You giggled at his expression as he looked adorable like a little kid.
"Stop being so lovey dovey. Please spare our poor single hearts."
The two of you laughed when Minji said that. You noticed Jimin staring at your lunchbox so you took a piece of meatball with your chopsticks and fed him.
He took a bite quickly and munched onto it.
"As expected of Seokjinnie-Hyung!"
"He says to come over some time. He misses you."
"I'm so jealous of you, (Y/N). You have such a hot Brother and beautiful Boyfriend. Gosh! What should I do to at least live a day like you?!" Minji complained and started stuffing her face with food.
All of you bursting out laughing. It wasn't long till the break ended and Jimin had to go back to his class. The rest of the day was filled with boring lessons. And you had to endure it till the end.
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
"I'm home," you announced as you placed your bag on the table.
"Welcome back, dear. How was school?" your Brother shouted back.
Seokjin was in the kitchen, making dinner for you. You sat at the dinning table which was connected to the kitchen and watched your Brother cook.
"Boring as usual."
Seokjin laughed as he listened to you complain about how schools should just be closed down.
Once he was done, he placed the dishes on the table and sat down as well.
It was only the two of you from the start. Seokjin is about 8 years older than you. Your parents had you pretty late. And with them gone in a car accident, Seokjin only had you left and he really dotes on you. He works at an insurance company and is paid highly, enough for the two of you.
You know how hard he works yet doesn't complain much. He even gave up on his social life for you. He just concentrates on earning money. You feel guilty that you weren't much of a help but he's happy as long as you smile.
"I heard someone had moved into our Neighbourhood?"
Seokjin nodded and placed a piece of chicken on your plate.
"I haven't really went to greet that person yet. I was too busy to do so. I'll do it when I'm free and maybe ask him or her to join us for dinner."
You nodded in agreement. The two of you were always the friendly and welcoming type. After all, both of you had been living in this place the longest that you know every faces and all the places.
"When you are done, just leave the dishes in the basin. Go wash up and get some rest. You had a long day."
"You did too, oppa. Let me at least wash the dishes."
He smiled and just agreed. He knew he would just have to give in to you in the end so he didn't see a point in arguing back.
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
Seokjin went up first. You were downstairs, washing the dishes.
You hummed to your Favourite tune as you wiped the dishes clean. After you neatly arranged them in the drawer, you decided to go up to your room.
You took a step up and heard something. That was when you stopped humming. You paused in your steps and listened attentively.
At first you thought it was just your imagination but then you heard it clearly. You went down again and opened one of the window.
It was much clearer and louder.
The sound of the flute.
It entered your ears and reached to your heart instead of your brain.
You felt your heart pounding faster as you listened to the sweet sound of the flute.
You felt tempted to follow the sound but you held it in. It was late at night and you shouldn't go out. You closed the window and ran upstairs.
You could still hear the music but it was much softer in your room. It was easier to bear.
You closed your eyes and decided to sleep. It was hard but you still managed to despite the rapid speed of your heart racing.
