Mike's POV
We made it back to my house without anybody noticing. We all sat in the basement, El rested on the couch. "What was Will saying? Like home... like home." I questioned "But dark?" That didn't make sense. "And empty." Lucas added. "Empty and cold. Wait, did he say cold?" Dustin questioned. "I don't know. The stupid radio kept going in and out." Lucas was right, it wasn't clear. I looked to Y/N, she, she didn't look to good. She was like in this trans, she had this sad, scared look on her face. I think she was hit by this most of all. I walked over to her. "Y/N? Y/N?" I snapped my fingers by her ear, she snapped out of it. "Y/N, are you ok." She looked back up at me. Her face showed concern. "Will... he... he's still out there." What was she talking about we already knew that. "Ya, we know." Lucas got up and came over towards us. "Mike, I think there's something wrong with her." He was concerned. "What do you mean?" I asked him. "Have you seen the way she's been acting since we saw Will's body." He said quietly. "I forgot if I told you this or not but when she slept over at my house, she had this nightmare of Will. She didn't tell me all about it, but since she saw him, she hasn't really been herself." I looked back at Y/N. Lucas was right she was acting different. Then I noticed she had fallen asleep again. We let her be.
Y/N POV
I heard Will's voice, it was dark where I was. I followed his voice. "Will? Will?" I called out. Then I saw a person lying down, It was Will. I ran to him. "Will!" He turned weakly around. "Y/N?" Will didn't look so good. "Oh my gosh! I'm so happy I found you! Will, where are we?" I asked. "I-I don't know. Wait how are you here?" He had a good point. "I don't know." I said. There was a rasping growl behind me. I turned around, it was a figure that didn't have a face. Out of no where it ran right towards me and Will. It ignored me, but that's when I screamed. Will had vanished. "Will!" I screamed over and over.

Lucas's POV
"I don't know." Mike said. "I say we just let her rest for now." We let her rest and got back to the radio topic. "It's like riddles in the dark." Dustin compared it to. "Like home. Like his house." Mike rambled. "Or maybe like Hawkins." I said. "Upside down." It was Eleven. "What'd she say?" Was I hearing her correctly. "Upside down." Mike repeated. "What?" "Upside down. When El shows us where Will was, she flipped the board over, remember? Upside down. Dark. Empty. " What? "Do you really understand what he's talking about?" I asked Dustin. "No." He responded. "Guys, come on, think about it. When El took us to find Will, she took us to his house, right?" This didn't make anything sense. "Yeah. And he wasn't there." "But what if he was there? What if we just could see him? What if he was on the other side?" Some made sense, but how was that even possible? "What if this is Hawkins and..." he flipped the board upside down. "-this is where Will is? The Upside Down." "Like the Vale of Shadows." Dustin said. We allied looked at each other. There was silence. Dustin got the Dungeons and Dragons, binder out, with all the info inside it. He turned to the Vale of Shadows paper. "The Vale of Shadows, is a dimension that is a dark reflection or echo of our world." We looked at each other. "It is a place of decay and death. A plane out of phase. A place of monsters. It is right next to you, and you don't even see it." He read. "An alternate dimension." Mike said. "But... how... how do we get there?" I asked. "You cast shadow walk." Dustin replied. "In real life, dummy." "We can't shadow walk, but...maybe she can." We turned to Eleven. "Do you know how we get there? To the Upside Down?" Mike asked. It wasn't clear if she know how to it not. "Oh, my, god." I said.

Out of no where there was screaming, I turned around and it was Y/N. we ran to her. "Will! Will!" She cried. "Y/N! Y/N!" We yelled. I shook her. She woke up crying. "Y/N, what happened?" She looked back at me. "It-it was Will... I saw him." She looked super tired. "Are you sure? Was it just a dream?" "I don't know, it it just felt so real." It had just hit me, could she have shadow walked? I looked to Mike. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" I asked him. He nodded. "Y/N, what did Will say or what was it like?" Mike asked. "It was dark, and cold, when I found him he looked really bad, he..." I know that was a enough questions, she could finish her sentence.
