"Good morning, mom." Jungkook greeted his mother who was in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for the family but she got surprised a little when she saw her son in the kitchen.
"Morning but Kookie, what are you doing here early in the morning?" She asked with big eyes because her son isn't interested in cooking and all.
"Actually, mom I'm thinking to cook kimchi for us. What do you say?" Jungkook asked with a giggle.
"K-Kookie, are you sick, my son? Do you have any fever?" She asked while checking the temperature of her son by touching his forehead.
"Mom!!! I'm fine and please, let me cook today." Jungkook said with a pout as he gave a soft push to his mother, gesturing her to go.
"But Kookie, Are you sure_____"
"Yes, mom. I'm sure. Now go and sit in the dining room. I'll be there." Jungkook said with a chuckle.
She paused for a few seconds but then nodded her head, leaving her son behind who started cooking breakfast and especially Taehyung's favorite Kimchi.
After a while, the younger finished cooking smiled in satisfaction after seeing the delicious Kimchi.
He grabbed a container and put some kimchi in it for Taehyung while thinking, "He will eat this, and then he will fall in love with me sksks." He shakes his head, mentally slapped himself, and thought, "Psk! This won't happen. Love isn't easy Jeon Jungkook." He kissed the container, feeling proud of himself.
"John, can you set the breakfast on the table?" He called out for one of the maids and after a while, John came and set all the breakfast on the table in the dining room where the younger's parents were already sitting, waiting for their son.
Jungkook hides the container in a polybag and stepped towards the dining room.
"How is it, mom and dad?" He asked while watching his parents eating the kimchi.
"It's delicious. I can't believe, you cooked it." Wang praised the younger who giggled like a cute baby as he noticed how his parents were busy eating so he took the opportunity and went to his neighbor's house.

Jungkook pressed the doorbell as he was praying that Eunbi won't open the door because she is being rude to him and he doesn't want to fight with his future daughter.

He was standing there with fingers crossed and he smiled widely when Taehyung opened the door.
"What are you doing here?" The blonde male asked in a calm voice.
The younger didn't reply as he just stepped inside the older's house causing the blonde male to sigh as he was fighting with his thoughts, "Should I tell him to leave? Eunbi doesn't like him and she will get angry after seeing him here."
Jungkook was about to sit on the couch but the older stopped him by grabbing his forearm as he asked in a cold tone, "What are you doing here?"
"I came to give you this." The younger answered with a smile as he showed the container to Taehyung who raised another question, "What is this?"
Jungkook pulled back his hand from the older's grasp and said, "This is your favorite Kimchi, and guess what?"
"What?" Taehyung asked with a confused face.
"I cooked this for you," Jungkook said with a giggle, and Taehyung couldn't help but smiled a little but his smile faded when he heard his daughter's voice--
"No! We don't want your kimchi! Now get out!" She grumbled angrily.
"Eunbi, this isn't the correct way to talk with someone___"
"I already told you dad that I don't like him." She said furiously as she shifted her gaze at Jungkook who was standing there with an embarrassed face but he flinched when she shouted, "Didn't you hear? Get out of my house!!"
Jungkook gulped as he didn't waste any time and went away from there.
He felt bad as he looked down at the container that he was holding in his hands because he especially cooked Kimchi for Taehyung.
"No! I won't give up like this. I cooked this for my Tae and anyway, it's time for Eunbi's school so I'll have another option." He thought to himself, giggling as he walked outside the older's house and hides somewhere so that he would get back to the older's house after Eunbi left for school.

"That was rude, Eunbi!" Taehyung growled at his daughter, sitting on the chair, feeling bad for Jungkook.
"I don't think so. I mean, how can he just come to our house like this?? Pfff! He isn't allowed in my house!" She said with a dry chuckle, slightly rolling her eyes.

"You mean my house." Taehyung said, emphasized the word 'my' making Eunbi sad.
"I don't believe this dad. You never talked to me like this but today.... Nevermind! I'm going to school. Bye!" She said in a low voice as she just left the house.
Meanwhile, "She left. Yes!" Jungkook jumped a little in excitement as he took the opportunity and went back to the older's house.
He furrowed his brows when he saw the door was open. He stepped inside and made his way towards the dining room and found Taehyung sitting there alone, looking sad.
He walked to the older, putting his hand on the other's shoulder, and asked, "What happened Oldy? Is everything okay?"
Taehyung snapped out of his thoughts as he moved his head and saw Jungkook who was looking worried.
"What are you doing here Kookie?" Taehyung asked, ignoring the younger's question.
The younger pouted, taking his seat, and answered, "Yah! I cooked this for you." He placed the container on the table and pointed towards it.
Taehyung let out a sigh before speaking, "Kookie, Eunbi doesn't like you and I don't want to hurt her so just stay away from me."
"Oh!" The younger said in a small voice, biting his lip, feeling bad.
"What about this kimchi? I cooked it for you with lots of love and I even woke up early in the morning only to cook it for you." Jungkook mumbled cutely, looking extremely adorable.
"Do you know how cute you are?" Taehyung asked with a chuckle, pinching the younger's nose who scrunched his nose cutely.
"So will you taste it now?" Jungkook asked with a sheepish smile and the blonde head male nodded his head with a smile making the younger smile as well.
Jungkook then served Kimchi to the older who got impressed by the look of the delicious Kimchi.
"Wow, it's looking good." Taehyung said as he grabbed a spoon and took a bite. His eyes grew big in amazement.
He shifted his gaze at the younger who was sitting there with a nervous look and he smiled widely when Taehyung praised his Kimchi, "This is so fucking delicious."
"Really?" Jungkook asked with a big smile and the older nodded his head with a smile as he asked, "Did you taste it?"
The younger shook his head 'no', lied because of course, he had tasted the kimchi before taking it to the love of his life but anyway, he lied.
"Here taste this." Taehyung stretched his arm with the same spoon.
Jungkook opened his mouth, taking the bite while thinking, "OMG! INDIRECT KISS. INDIRECT KISS!!"
"See it's tasty. Isn't it?" Taehyung asked with a smile as he started eating, enjoying the delicious Kimchi.
Jungkook just hummed in response as he kept staring at the older who was looking so handsome while eating.
Taehyung moved his head to see the younger and blushed hard when found the younger staring at him with his loving doe eyes.
He cleared his throat as he was about to speak but the younger cut him off- "You are so handsome Tae."
"Really? But I thought I'm becoming old. Maybe I look an Oldy."
"Psk! You are handsome. I mean, you don't look like fifty years old." Jungkook said with a chuckle.
The blonde-haired male coughed and corrected the younger, "You mean, forty. I'm forty." He emphasized the word 'forty'.
"I know, I was just teasing you." The younger said as he burst out in waves of giggles.
"Hey, that was mean!" Taehyung said with a pout.
Jungkook stopped as he looked at the older who was looking so cute with a pout on his face as he apologized cutely, "Sowwy, Tae."
"It's okay!" Taehyung said as he ruffled the younger's hair who blushed but then Jungkook realized something.
"Oh shit! I forgot I have college. Oh no! Jiminie will kill me!" He almost yelled as he took out his phone and saw so many texts from his bestie.
"I should go. Bye Oldy!" And with that, the younger went away from there leaving a smiling Taehyung behind.
"Oh gosh! He is so fucking cute." Taehyung mumbled, smiling as he looked at the Kimchi that the younger cooked for him.

Homecoming | A Chronicles of Ascension Story
When Jethen was captured by slavers, his childhood was torn from him and left shattered half a world away. When he finds himself back home decades later, by methods he does not fully understand, he finds that the life he has lived has changed him far more than he knew. In a home he no longer knows. Places and people at the same time familiar and foreign, he must decide - stay and help with his parent's business, or return to the land that remade him and the family he made there. --------- Homecoming started as just a short story to break an episode of writers block. It has since morphed well beyond that into a novel in it's own right, and may well end up with a sequel. The writing of Homecoming became a bit of a self induced challenge to improve my initial, first brush, writing quality. Each chapter was written raw, given a once over read and edit, and then posted. In this way I am forcing myself to write better from the start. I do hope you enjoy the story and will leave a comment or review, and if you see an issue, feel free to let me know as well. I know it is not nearly perfect, and it will get a full and proper edit once I am done. Never hurts to fix things along the way though. As an additional note. The story has undergone a structural rework and has been reposted in an updated structure and sequence of chapters. If you have read this story already, I invite you to do so again in this new structure.
