《dangerous // bakugou x reader》Chapter 9

Several days had passed since your battle training and it was finally weekend. It was a Saturday morning and you decided to go for a walk. It was pretty chilly outside and there were gray clouds all over the sky, but you always loved weathers like this.
You were thinking about all the things that had happened these days. But mostly, you were thinking about him. Why did he make your heart beat like that when he carried you that day? You stopped and looked at the sky as you felt rain drops fall on your face.
You then sprinted to a nearby park and sat down on a bench that had a shade on top of it, amusingly watching all the people who were trying to find some shade as well, and some who put their jackets on top of their heads.
"Shit."
Glancing behind you, you surprisingly saw Bakugou make his way towards the bench that you were currently sitting on. He got under the shade and tried to wipe his hands but his clothes were pretty wet as well. He didn't seem to notice you either.
"Here." you said, offering a handkerchief.
He glanced next to him and as soon as he realised that it was you, his eyes widened.
"Nerd? What are you doing here?"
"Just went out for a walk but got caught up in the rain, what about you?"
Taking a moment before replying, he grabbed your handkerchief and sighed.
"Just wanted to buy some food. My stupid parents are out of town for some days. A business trip or something, and I am too lazy to cook."
"Oh I know! You can come to my place and I will have Mira cook something good for us to eat!" you said cheerfully.
"Who the hell-"
"My maid."
He looked at your priceless expression and let out a grunt.
"Fine why the fuck not."
"Great! Let's go."
You grabbed his hand and started walking before you were stopped.

"Are you blind or something? Look at all this rain!"
"Yeah, it's just rain."
He opened his hands and tried to let out explosions, but he could only form small ones.
"I can't form big explosions in cold weather. And right now I'm damp from all this stupid rain and I don't know how much time it's going to take my quirk to go back to normal again. So let's wait-"
"I will give you a change of clothes."
"HELL NO! I'M NOT WEARING-"
It was too late though, you grabbed him by the hand once again and you both started running to your house. You were laughing at how he would swear at you for making him run in the middle of the rain, though, he found it kind of amusing as well.
"Here we are!"
You opened the door and as soon as you got in, Mira started yelling at you both for getting so wet and for not carrying an umbrella with you. After that, you took the opportunity to properly introduce Bakugou to her. You then guided him to your bathroom and gave him a new change of clothes as well. You had some boys' clothes in your closet because you always thought that they were comfortable, so you handed him a hoodie and a pair of sweatpants.
While he was taking a shower, you waited downstairs and helped Mira with some of the cooking. Not long after, when he finally finished drying his hair, you got your change of clothes and hopped in the shower.
Bakugou sat on the couch and secretly watched Mira cook. He wanted to ask her things about you, though he was too reluctant.
"Anything wrong?" he heard her say.
"N-No."
"It seems that you are thinking about something, or rather, someone."
Tsk, this old hag.
"Come here."
He got up and sat on a chair across Mira.
"You want to know more about her past don't you?"

He reluctantly nodded.
"I believe that she already told you who her parents were. She... didn't have such a close relationship with them. Her father at least. They were often busy doing hero work and they would only come home once a week to take her out. They were forced to have her, they knew that since they were both Pro Heroes, they wouldn't have the time to take care of a child, but the higher ups kept telling them that their child would be powerful. When she was 5, they died in a terrible accident. We were all outside that day, so she saw what happened. Aftet the shock, she unwillingly activated her mind control quirk without having to pass her blood into anyone. She couldn't control it, and people started falling to their knees while holding their heads. She kept crying and crying until her eyes turned a bright white color. My poor girl..she was terrified and wouldn't come near me with the fear that she would hurt me as well." she took a deep breath and continued.
"Aizawa stopped her quirk while All Might tried helping as many people as possible. She kept apologising but we all knew that it wasn't her fault. Aizawa stood next to her ever since that day, helping her train and face her fears. He even persuaded the authorities to let her live in the house alone, but I insisted to stay here so that I took proper care of her."
There was a moment of silence between the two.
"Even though she looks tough, she is afraid of what might people think of her. She is afraid that if she loses control again, Aizawa won't be there to stop her in time, and that the authorities will take her away. She has this certain gap in her heart. I'm sure you understand what it is."
He simply nodded.
"So.. you guys are together?"
"W-WHAT? NO! WE AREN'T EVEN FRIENDS!"
Mira laughed at the boy's reaction.
"We both know that that's not true, Katsuki Bakugou."
He stared at her surprised.
"What are you guys talking about?"
"Dearie! The food is ready, sit down with us."
You three were having small talk and surprisingly, Bakugou rather enjoyed it. Not as much as the food though! It was rather late, so you walked him home. He didn't want to, of course, but you did anyways.
"Mira told you huh?" you asked, staring in front of you.
"Yeah."
"Listen, I-"
"You don't want my pitty? Don't worry. The truth is I.. you are tolerable alright? You aren't like those extras. I wanted to know more about you but I didn't know how the hell to ask you without putting you in a tough spot. You are annoying that's for sure, but less annoying than the others." he said while looking away from you.
"Bakugou.."
You moved in front of him and hugged him tightly, making him stiffen at your touch.
"This means we are friends, right?"
"Don't even try saying a word of this to the others or I swear I'm going to kill you."
"We both know you won't."
"OH YEAH? FIGHT ME RIGHT NOW!"
"You don't treat me like the others. Why is that?"
"ALRIGHT! I TAKE IT ALL BACK!"
You laughed, still hugging him, thinking that you should stop teasing him. After he had calmed down, he looked at you. He just put his hand on top of your head and moved it gently.
After some time you finally arrived at his place.
"You can keep the clothes, I have plenty more. I'm going to bring you yours at school."
"Fine."
"Goodnight, Katsuki!"
"WHO THE HELL TOLD YOU TO CALL ME BY MY FIRST NAME?"
You totally ignored him. He let out a sigh and smiled at your walking figure before entering his house.

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.

Praise for Awakening: If you love Anne McCaffrey, J.R.R. Tolkien and Tad Williams, then Awakening is a novel you will surely want to pick up. D.N.Frost is a consummate world-builder with a knack for creating characters that are complex and three-dimensional. Frost writes with graceful prose that is descriptive and well-edited. The plot is fast-paced and entertaining. What really sets this novel apart is the cartography, which is a spectacular accomplishment. Incredible world-building! - M.L. Spencer, author of The Rhenwars Saga ★★★★★ This novel was published in 2014, and it includes 19 antique watercolor maps! Check them out: Maps of Awakening: an atlas directory
