《dangerous // bakugou x reader》Chapter 34

It was Monday morning, you and your classmates were getting ready for school. You were rather anxious about going back to school actually. Ever since the day that you left the hospital to join the villains by force, you started feeling stressed even over little things. Uraraka put a hand on your shoulder and gave you a thumbs up, you returning a small smile at her while trying to adjust the patch that was on your cheek.
Bakugou took your hand and lead you out of the house. You two were silent for a bit but then your now new phone rang, startling you both from your daydreaming.
"H-Hello?"
"It's just me. I wanted to say that if you're still not feeling comfortable with coming to school you can stay at the dorms for a day or two."
"It's okay Aizawa, I'm on my way anyways." you replied.
"Alright."
You were in class, listening to your teacher silently, when a small paper fell in the front of your desk. You glanced at Aizawa, making sure that he hadn't noticed anything, and then unfolded it.
"I'm bored listening to this dumbass. How did you manage to stay so patient with him for so many years?"
You mentally facepalmed yourself and ignored the paper, focusing your gaze on Aizawa once again even though you couldn't help but chuckle a bit. But then again, you weren't sure either. Guess who didn't have any patience though. Bakugou didn't seem to stop anytime soon so he started playing with your hair, sending chills down your spine.
"Bakugou! You're distracting your classmate. Stop or I'll kick you out."
"Yeah yeah, jeez."
You covered your face with your hands and let out a loud sigh.
"As I was saying, go wear your suits and meet me outside as soon as you're finished, we're doing hand to hand combat."
Everyone got up their seats and ran outside the classroom excitedly, including Bakugou.
"We fixed your suit, don't worry." Aizawa assured.
You nodded and finally left the classroom. In the changing rooms, you had trouble wearing your suit but you felt too embarrassed to ask the girls for help. They noticed, however, they heard you wince in pain when you tried wearing it, due to dragging your bandages up with it as well. They approached you immediately and helped you wear it while reassuring you that it was completely fine.

After some time you all got outside and met with the others. Aizawa paired everyone in pairs of two, saying that whoever gave up first would lose.
"You're fighting me." he stated.
"Can't we go easy this time?" you asked while pointing at your arms and leg.
"There is no going easy. You have to recover."
You sighed and attacked him first. Nothing had changed about your combat skills, only that you were in slight pain from moving around so you didn't use much force in your attacks.
"No holding back. Got it, problem child?"
"So apathetic.."
Dammit..
He scoffed at your comment and you managed to punch him in the face, continuing to move around him fastly. You blocked most of his attacks but some managed to reach you, and after a while he stood in front of you, taking small breaths, whereas you were almost breathless. He moved some of his restrains as if trying to get a hold of you but you jumped and landed on your hands while twisting around multiple times.
"Excellent." he got the restrains away and stood across you. "Now, use your quirks."
Your lips parted slightly before replying.
"Isn't this combat training?"
"Come on (y/n)!"
He's right. I haven't used them in so long, I will go back into stage one if I stop now.
You adjusted yourself, your one foot in the front and the other in the back for support.
Here we go.
You opened your palms and moved them in front of you.
One..
Aizawa adjusted himself as well, waiting for your attack.
Two..
Bakugou focused his gaze on you as soon as he heard Aizawa's words.
Three..
You moved your hands upwards and-
Nothing...?
"What are you waiting for, use your quirks!"
You tried another move but failed again. You tried another one and another one, some old moves that your father had taught you as well, but nothing happened. Aizawa's eyes widened slightly while watching your panicked expression and failing attempts of bending.
"(y/n), try to calm down-"
"Aizawa... I can't use my quirk!" your voice cracked.
His heart shattered when he saw your red eyes from trying to hold back tears. You fell to your knees and gritted your teeth while looking at the ground, your classmates watching silently with shocked expressions.
"Why can't I use my quirk?" you asked, your voice trembling.

Aizawa just stood there, not knowing the answer himself. Seconds later, Bakugou sat on the ground next to you and embraced you tightly.
He had a hurt expression painted on his face. He felt infuriated from seeing you suffer like this. Your parents, criticism, villains, Mira, then this..
"It's going to be okay.." he whispered.
"Katsuki.." you whispered back, your face hidden in the crook of his neck. "I'm so tired of this I.. I'm losing my patience."
The tone of your voice was bitter. And it pained him even more.
Aizawa, including All Might, waited outside the hospital room that you were currently in, and when you got out, they both stood up from their chairs.
"So?" Aizawa asked.
"We don't exactly know why this is happening. There's no much trace of either her Blood Bending quirk or the Mind Control one." answered the doctor while coming out of the room not long after.
All Might placed his hand on your head and reassured you that everything was going to be alright.
"There is a possibility that your quirks might be.. blocked." he added.
"What do you mean?" you murmured.
"As far as I know, Blood Bending requires that the holder is strong enough to preform it. By the looks of it, you've lost sudden weight and your muscle gain has decreased. As for the Mind Control quirk, you're blocking it from getting activated because of the fear that you will lose control again, or maybe even because of the stuff that you see when you are affected by it."
You looked at him surprised.
"For the time being, focus on eating more, muscle gain, and mental stability, alright?"
The doctor patted your back and talked with the two heroes before leaving.
"Young (y/n)-"
"It's fine. I'll be fine."
You walked away from them both and made your way outside the hospital. When you got out, you saw Bakugou waiting for you, and as soon as his eyes landed on your figure he got off the bench that he was sitting on and approached you.
"What did the doctor say?"
You explained everything and his eyes softened at your trembling voice. He hugged you and kissed your forehead, you gripping the back of his shirt lightly. You two walked around town for a bit but you noticed that you were getting recognised by many people. Not only because you two are UA students, but because of your abilities as well. However, everyone knew about you specifically due to your parents and the villain incident.
"It's the wielder of black blood!"
"So cool!"
"She is kind of scary though."
Bakugou scoffed at their comments, making you turn your attention to him.
"Looks like you have some fans."
"I really don't see it that way."
"They admire you, idiot."
It is kind of nice, to be honest. In contrast to what people used to call me years ago.
As you were sinking into your own thoughts, Bakugou's mind drifted to the nights he spent outside your hospital room. One night in particular. The night when realization finally hit you.
...
'No no no no!' you screamed as you put your hands over your heart.
'(y/n) please-'
'She can't be gone! I don't want her to be!'
Aizawa rubbed your sweaty forehead softly as he and Recovery Girl waited for Midnight to come in.
Meanwhile, Bakugou sat outside your room with his face resting on his hands.
After Midnight successfully put you to sleep, Aizawa cleaned your sweat-stained face with a cold water cloth, staying with you for a while afterwards, just to make sure that you were going to be completely safe.
'Come on Bakugou, it's late.' he sighed at the boy's stubbornness.
Bakugou shook his head.
Aizawa patted him on the back and waited until he was ready to get up. Then, he took him to the dorms before heading to his house.
...
You stopped daydreaming as soon as you saw Bakugou standing in front of you.
"Listen, I know that you're feeling kinda down due to all this shit, but I really want you to get back to your old self soon. This isn't... you."
His eyes fell to your hands as he took them in his, rubbing his thumbs over them tenderly.
'It hurts! Katsuki!'
"I don't say dumb shit like this and don't you dare mention anything to the other small fries, but I'll be with you no matter what. I'm here."
You glanced at his flushed cheeks and then made him look at you. A smile formed on your face. A genuine one. And as soon as he saw it his heart fluttered. He cupped your cheeks and kissed your lips lovingly.
"Thank you, Katsuki."

Ira’s Faithful
[On Hiatus due to health reasons] Synopsis: Fate has plans for everyone. There are many paths one can walk and many nodes one can unlock. Yet all mortal souls only start with one node. This has been the case for many years and while there are some records of people with more than one first node, these are as rare as wings on snails, roses made of air, or ropes made of dragon-hair. Elise Anker has two first nodes. She doesn't know why and the only one that could answer is an angry voice in her head. She hears it rarely and the voice is as helpful as a sword is effective against a Leviathan. She strives to become a mage, a knight or maybe something else entirely. The future is uncertain and unless she finds out what her nodes mean, she will never know what she wants to become. But her nodes won't unlock and the angry voice tells her that she needs to find a worthy foe to kill. Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction.
