《Haikyuu!!: She's Your Sister!?》Chapter 8

Karasuno's volleyball team was still training hard as ever. Even during school hours, they still thought about the Inter-High. As of now, it was lunch break. They were scattered in the school's building, doing whatever it is they were doing. However, some students were curious when a certain orange-hair girl was walking in the hallway of the first floor. Mizuki was dressed with her Karasuno Volleyball jacket, over a plain white V-neck shirt and black shorts. Her long ponytail swished around as she turned her head to the side. The boys around her had faint blushes while the girls were curiously staring at her.
"Where is it?" Mizuki mumbled. Suddenly, she felt someone bump into her. Mizuki stumbled back a little and then looked in front.
"I-I'm sorry," a girl bowed to her. She must have been a first year, depicting on how nervous she was.
"Its okay," Mizuki smiled, "I wasn't paying attention. Say, do you know where Class 1-1 might be?"
"Uh, yes. You should be able to see it down here." She pointed further down.
"Thank you. I like your hairclip by the way..."
"O-oh, thank you," she smiled. Mizuki bowed her head and walked passed her. When she reached the room, she peeked in. Some students were eating in the classroom. She then noticed Hinata, who was talking to two of his friends.
"Shoyo~" she called out while approaching him. The students saw her come in.
"Ah! Nee-san!" Hinata smiled.
"Nee-san?" the two boys questioned. Hinata got up and went towards her.
"What are you doing here?" he asked.
"You forgot your lunch in the gym," she showed him the bento.
"S-sorry," he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Geez... next time put it in your bag or something," she handed him his lunch. She noticed the two boys staring at her.

"Hi there," she waved at them as they blushed, "are you Shoyo's friends?"
"Oh, yeah," Hinata spoke, "they're in the same class as me."
"I see." She approached the boys, making them tense up.
"I'm Hinata Mizuki. I'm Shoyo's older sister by two years. Its very nice to meet you." She smiled at them.
"N-nice to meet you." They greeted her politely.
"Nee-san, what's that in your hand?" Hinata looked at the other bento box.
"Oh, this is for Nishinoya and Tanaka," she added, "I promised I would make them lunch."
"Hey, Hinata," one of his friends whispered, "your sister...she's wearing the same sports jacket like yours. Is she part of the volleyball team?"
"Mhm..." he nodded, "nee-san, show them your jacket. Please~?" Mizuki giggled at his childish behavior. She turned around, and lifted her ponytail to the side. Hinata's classmates were shocked to see this.
"She's a volleyball coach!?"
"I thought you already had a coach."
"He does," Mizuki implied, "I'm filling in as the assistant coach, since I'm only 17."
"Eh!?"
"Nee-san plays volleyball. Her position is a libero and an ace. She's also one of the top 10 female players in America."
"America!? For real!?" they exclaimed. Everyone around them was whispering or shocked when hearing this. Some students were talking about it outside of the classroom.
"Anyway," Mizuki interrupted, "I should find the others."
"Oh, they should be upstairs."
"Okay. Well, it was nice meeting you. I'll see you at practice Shoyo."
"Bye sis." Hinata waved goodbye as she left. He then turned to see his friends, a bit more shocked than when she came in. He blinked while tilting his head.
"What's wrong?" He asked, but no answer.
>>>>>>>>>Fast Forward>>>>>>>>
"Yo-ho~ Nishinoya," Mizuki waved to him.

"Mizuki-san~~!" He and Tanaka were beaming when she arrived.
"I made the lunch you guys wanted."
"Thank you~!"
"Woah, it looks good!" They grinned like crazy as they saw the food.
"Who's that?" one of the classmates asked.
"She's cute."
"Is she their friend?"
"Well, I should head back," Mizuki waved, "I'll see you at practice."
"Bye senpai!" Nishinoya shouted. As she left, Mizuki noticed a crowd of students by the doors. She smiled, and greeted them with a bow.
"Hey, Nishinoya," one of his classmates called him, "who was that?"
"Hehe~" he grinned, "she's my senpai....and our volleyball's second coach."
"Eeehh!?" they exclaimed. Tanaka was nodding his head with pride.
>>>>>>>>>>Fast Forward>>>>>>>>
"Good job everyone!" Mizuki Kiyoko handed them bottles after a long day of training.
"Inter-High is almost upon us," Mizuki turned to Kiyoko.
"Yeah," she nodded, "everyone is looking forward to it."
"Mizuki-san~!" The orange hair girl turned to see Nishinoya and Tanaka. Their faces were filled with joy as they gave her a bento box.
"Thank you for making us lunch! It was really delicious!"
"Hehehe...you're welcome," she grabbed the empty box.
"Mizuki, did you see me receive?" Nishinoya asked.
"I did. Good job on those receives today," she ruffled Nishinoya's hair, making the poor boy almost faint from happiness.
"Mizuki~! Can you help me with this?"
"Hai~!" She jogged towards Ukai.
"Mizuki-san is so nice," Nishinoya made a goofy grin. Just then, Hinata was walking by.
"Hey, Hinata," Tanaka called him. He waved for him to come over. The first year tilted his head.
"What is it, Tanaka-san?" He asked.
"Say, I just thought of something," he put his hand on his chin, "do you and Mizuki-san ever fight?"
"Hmm..." Hinata pondered a while, "um... I don't' think so."
"Heh~ really? I mean, you guys are siblings. You must have argued sometimes."
"Not really," Hinata shook his head, "nee-san is really mature. She always looks out for me. Even when I get mad, she knows that I don't really mean what I say. She's sometimes forgiving."
"Wow," both second years made an 'o' shape from their mouths.
"She's more mature than you are," Kageyama thought.
"W-what you say!?" Hinata glared at him.
"It sounds like you admire your sister a lot," Sugawara and Sawmaura walked into the group.
"Hey hey, do you remember anything about you and your sister? You know, when you were still kids?"
"Of course!"
"Ooh~ you have to tell us!" Tanaka encouraged as Nishinoya nodded.
"Eh? Why?"
"Because," Nishinoya pointed to him, "we don't know much about your sister. Only that she's older than you and a volleyball player..."
"Hm...that is true," Sugawara thought out loud, "she doesn't really talk about herself, so I'm a little curious."
"Well... ... I guess its alright."
"Yosh!" Nishinoya and Tanaka fist bumped. By that time everyone was crowding around the small boy.
"So, what was it like having an older sister?"
"It was great," he grinned, "my sister and I did a lot of things. No matter how much trouble I was in, nee-san was always there for me..."
Nee-san was always there... she never left my side.
She took care of me like she was my second mom
Even when I did something wrong, she never blamed me for anything.
She always made me feel special. We had tons of fun together when growing up, especially with volleyball. I really admire how she plays. Every game I went to; nee-san would be standing there on the court. I would cheer as loud as I could, and she would wave at me.
No matter where she goes, I was always right beside her. Then one day......

The Anthology
This is my collection of short stories. I ask what stories would my audience like to read and write whatever they post in the comments. I strive for more than two dimensional characters and I like to make my stories somewhat unique. The first six entries are my experiment to just write without stopping and see what comes out. They can serve as an introduction for the reader to me as a thinker and writer. Although it should be known that the majority of those entries were written in a foggy state of mind. Entry seven is where my short stories begin.

Faeos Book One: The Stuff of Legends

In so doing, they find themselves embroiled (as adventurers so often do) in the larger machinations of a mischevious gnome, a determined mage or three, and a dire threat to their homes. Based on a homebrew Pathfinder campaign begun several years ago, and still running. Faeos is one part combat, one part character building, and one part entirely justified silliness.
