《Nightwalker》Chapter Six

"My lady. My lady it is time to wake up." A soft voice said in my ear rousing me from my sleep. I looked up to see Sylvia dressed in her servants dress looking down at me and the smell of her blood hit me in the nose out of nowhere making my teeth lengthen and my stomach clench.
"Whoa!" I gasped moving away from her quickly not expecting such a crazy urge to attack someone well up inside me all of the sudden.
"Are you okay my lady?" Sylvia asked looking at me concern in her eyes.
I stood up on the other side of the bed from her literally shaking from fighting myself from attacking her. "Yeah, I'm fine, I just wasn't expecting your blood to smell so good in the morning." I confessed awkwardly. "I think you should leave for a minute so I can wake up, get back some control over myself."
Sylvia giggled at me. "If you want my blood you can have it, it is part of why I am here in the first place."
I looked at her silently and saw that my bite on her neck has healed over leaving only two pinprick scars. I shook my head at her. "No, no I'll be alright, I took enough from you last night." Damn it, why does she have to smell so good that it's starting to hurt? "Do you have something I can wear?" I asked her just know realising my nakedness.
Sylvia sighed looking a little disappointed, either from me wanting to cover up or because I wouldn't take her blood, I wasn't sure. "Yes, I do." She nodded her head and pulled a light, cream coloured robe from were it hung from a hook I hadn't noticed before. "You're going to have to come over here for you to put it on." She teased me and I narrowed my eyes at her.
"I believe that if I had any previous experience with a servant and master relationship, I think the way you speak to me so informally would be considered rude, but since I don't have such experience with such I'll let it be." I told her walking around the bed slowly controlling myself from jumping her as I got closer. "I think you should act more formally to me when we are around other people, especially around my Mistress."
"You are right, I'm sorry my lady." Sylvia blushed lightly and looked at the ground.
"I said when we're around other people." I smiled softly at her as I stopped in front of her. "Right now it's just you and me so no need for any formalities. I don't like it in the first place. It feels strange to me since I'm the one that's meant to be the servant to my Mistress."
Sylvia smiled at me and shook her head. "You're such a strange person." She told me and I looked at her in mock insult placing a hand over my heart.
"Now I do believe that is considered rude to say to anyone." I said back putting fake hurt into my voice.
Sylvia's smile widened and she stepped even closer to me and I could feel the heat coming from her skin and her scent waft around me. "Maybe but I think you like being called strange and different." She said quietly. "Because it means people are noticing you, the real you."
I looked down into her eyes and realised that it was true. I did like being called strange and different, with those names it meant that I am being noticed, something that never happened when I was on the streets. I was just another homeless runt that begged for food and got kicked and bullied by town guards and children. I suddenly leant down and kissed her, taking her breath away. I pulled back but the sides of our noses still touched. "You're right, I do like being called strange and different." I told her before grabbing the robe from her hands and pulling it on swiftly. "Come, or we're going to be late for breakfast." I said while walking to the door. "I do hope you have clothes for me because I'm not going to breakfast in a robe."

Sylvia laughed from behind me. "Why not? I'm sure both lady Aviva and lady Beatrice wouldn't mind seeing your amazing body in nothing but a robe."
I waited at the door for her and smiled. "Hmm maybe or they'll think I'm a bit more on the bad side of strange rather than the good."
I opened the door of my bedroom and walked out with Sylvia walking quickly behind me holding a towel and a dress. We walked down the hallways towards the bathroom and every guard, male servant and female servant, moved out of my way and stared at me as I passed. I'm pretty sure I saw some of the younger male servants cover their crotch with a light blush on their cheeks as they continued to watch me walk away. Maybe walking in nothing but a robe was a bad idea. We made it to the bathroom and I quickly walked in to see not many people inside thankfully. I looked at Sylvia with accusing eyes.
"What?" she asked all innocently.
"You know what, you did that on purpose." I accused her before sighing. "Whatever."
Sylvia giggled quietly and I walked to my little corner from yesterday and pulled off my robe that Sylvia grabbed and hung up next to our dresses. I stepped down into the hot water and sighed contently.
"Ah so she lives." A familiar voice says and I open my eyes to see Mercy smiling at Sylvia who sat a body length away from me.
"What do you mean Mercy?" I asked her and Mercy flashed me a grin.
"Well you see, you only woke up yesterday morning, so I thought you'd go a tad crazy at your first taste of blood coming from the source. You see, most newly created Nightwalker's find it hard to control their cravings and end up attacking anything with flowing blood and end up killing them." Mercy explained to me.
"Not my lady though." Sylvia smiled at me looking thankful that I wasn't like that. "She even refused to drink from me this morning even though she was visibly shaking."
Mercy looked at me in shock and I couldn't help but blush and look away. "What? I've learnt to control myself when I smell something nice from my time on the streets." I told then both. "You don't know how hard it is not to storm into a house and eat all their food when the smell of it surrounds you when you're starving. I can stop myself from doing that I can stop myself from attacking someone."
"Was living on the streets that hard?" Sylvia asked looking sadly at me.
"You'll have no idea." I sighed remembering everything I went through then I remembered my scar and quickly looked over my body only to see that it was gone. "Oh all my scars are gone, how did I not notice that?" I asked myself out loud.
"Why would you have scars from living on the streets?" Mercy asked as she sponged herself and Sylvia came to me with her own sponge and soap and started doing my shoulders.
"Well, I got beaten and forcefully bedded on a regular bases so I picked up a few scars from those times, but I should have had a scar about the size of my whole hand on my left forearm where the guy that killed my parents bit me and tore off my skin." I answered her looking at my now smooth arm. I must have looked over it because I was expecting it to be there.

"That's just disgusting." Mercy spat with a disgusted face. "And I thought some Nightwalker's were bad, humans are just as terrible."
"Yes I agree." Sylvia nodded looking angry and upset as she pressed a little harder against my skin.
"It's in the past now." I shrugged not all that bothered, though it still does hurt to think about it.
"Still..." Sylvia said and pressed up against my side making it possible to feel her full breasts against my arms and smell the blood running through her veins as her heart beat in my ears.
I felt my teeth elongate and my senses heighten a little. "Careful Sylvia." I whispered with a small lisp, because of my teeth, as I moved a little away from her. "I might have strong control over my hunger but that doesn't mean it's not there and I have only been awake for one full day, it's getting harder to control with you right up against me."
"Sorry." Sylvia apologised stepping away from me a bit more. I held out my hand and she looked at it in confusion.
I smiled at her reassuringly. "It's alright, there's nothing for you be sorry for. Pass me the sponge now. You washed my back, I'll wash yours."
"Ah-but-" Sylvia stuttered not seeming to know what to say to me.
I tilted my head slightly still smiling at her warmly. "Are you disobeying me Sylvia?" I asked her teasingly.
She blushed and started shaking her head as Mercy giggled at us. "N-no, it's just, I wasn't expecting you to- ah, I don't know." She sighed giving up with her argument and handed me the sponge making my smile widen.
"Now turn around." I told her motioning with my finger for her to turn her back to me.
Sylvia grumbled that this shouldn't be happening since she was the servant but did as I told her. She turned her back to me and I started using the soapy sponge to lather her shoulders pressing softly around her neck and I felt her relax as I massaged her shoulders. Mercy laughed in front of us shaking her head. "This is such a weird relationship, I thought Sylvia was meant to be the servant washing her lady's back?" She said with a large smile.
"Like I said, she washed my back now I'll wash her's. I might have the higher status between the two but I'd rather have a give and take relationship rather than just take." I told Mercy truthfully. "I've never had luxury in my life, so I feel awkward ordering and taking from other people, even if they're below me. Like if you do something for me, I'll want, no, I'll need to do something back for you. It's just how I am, even while I was on the street I was like this. A lady bought me a roll from the bakers and I begged for money for a whole month till I got enough to buy one and give it back to her."
"You're seriously too good to be true." Sylvia moaned as I pressed my thumbs in just the right place on her neck and she basically melted in my hands.
I smiled, pleased. "Thank you."
"That looks really good, I'm getting jealous." Mercy said looking at Sylvia.
"It feels really good." Sylvia confirmed to her and I blushed dropping the sponge and moving my hands down her back massaging in between and over her shoulder blades making her moan again. "I think I'm about to fall asleep."
I laughed softly. "I have no idea what I'm doing, but as long as you're enjoying it, I'm glad."
"God you have no idea how good your hands feel." Sylvia sighed and I saw Mercy from the corner of my eye blush making me blush in turn. That could be taken very sexual. And I'm pretty sure my Mistress said the same thing.
I coughed lightly. "Is lady Beatrice good to you Mercy?" I asked her changing the topic away from my hands and what I could do with them.
"She's great." Mercy nodded with a smile and far away look. "She's very good with her hands too." She laughed and I shook my head at her but with a small smile, even though I could feel jealousy rise within me. "No, she is a good lady and treats all her servants kindly and with care. I've never felt pain from her bite or touch or word. If we make a mistake she doesn't yell or hurt us, she allows us to fix our mistakes by ourselves unless it is obvious that we need her help to rectify it. And if one of the newer servants make a mistake she tells them what the mistake is and how to fix it on their own for next time. She's very patient and understanding. I'd even call us friends since I've known her since I was a child."
"Good." I nodded. "And what of my own Mistress?"
Mercy screwed up her face slightly in thought. "She's alright, unless you get on her bad side. Then you best run for your life, though, those that run don't usually live that long. She's harsh with her punishments but most of the time the mistake that person has made deserves it. Other than that she lets her servants do their job their own way, unless she specifies something."
"I'm glad." I smile softly happy that both the main ladies of the house are good people. "Well now, sadly, I do believe we must be going." I said as I rinsed off Sylvia's back but to her disappointment. "Do you need to go to lady Beatrice?" I questioned Mercy.
"No, she allows those she took blood from the previous night to rest for most of the morning before going about their assigned tasks." Mercy answered with a shake of her head.
"Why is that?" I asked hauling myself out of the bath smoothly, the water running off my skin and onto the stone floor.
"Because loss of blood for a human makes them dizzy and practically useless if they need to do anything studious on the body. If they loose too much blood it can make them pass out." Mercy answered as I grabbed the towel from Sylvia and dried myself.
I paused in my drying to look at Sylvia worriedly. "Are you alright then Sylvia? Do you feel dizzy? Do you need to rest?"
Sylvia smiled at me happily with energy. "I feel perfectly fine my lady, you didn't take that much blood from me last night, so I don't need a rest."
I frowned slightly not convinced. "If you don't feel right or feel dizzy any time through out the day please tell me and go back to the room to rest. Don't strain yourself if you don't have to."
"I'm telling you my lady, I feel fine." Sylvia blushed at my concern.
"That doesn't stop me from worrying." I sighed pulling on the dress. "If you suddenly faint on me, that would be my fault and I would feel really bad for doing that to you."
Sylvia sighed like she was talking to a stubborn child, which I admit I sounded like and felt like at the moment. "If I feel fatigued in any way during today I will notify you immediately, my lady." She told me seriously but I still frowned at her.
"Fine, but I'll know if you're lying to me, I can hear your heart beat." I warned her.
"I understand my lady." Sylvia smiled at me assuredly.
"Good, then, I will see you later Mercy." I turned to the woman still in the bath who smiled up at us.
"Have a good day Purple." Mercy smiled up at me and I rolled my eyes before leaving.
