I looked down at the scale. Oh my god. I weighed 135 pounds. Three months ago I only weighed 115. I'm a 16 year old girl who is five feet that weighs 135 pounds. I felt like crying.I looked at the clock. The time was 7:30. " Violet! Foods ready! Come down stairs and eat!" I slowly walked downstairs and walked to the kitchen. Mom made lasagna. "it's your favorite" she said smiling. I sat down and picked at my food. I remember my father use to make lasagna when I was 10. When my mother got pregnant he left without an explanation. I picked at the lasagna and made a disgusted face.
"What's wrong? Pig got tired of eating today?"
"C.J! Quit making fun of your sister!" C.J snickered and ate his lasagna. I got up and threw mine away. " Violet, is something wrong?" "I'm not hungry." Summer vacation was over and tomorrow was school. I felt a horrible feeling in my stomach. I was ashamed that I gained a lot of weight. Starting tomorrow, I'm gonna try to lose weight. I grabbed my phone and dialed my friend's number whose name was Jayy.
" Helllllooooo."
"Tomorrow's school!"
" And who am I speaking to." I hated when he did this to me.
" Violet."
" And what did Violet forget to say?"
I rolled my eyes, " hi Jayy."
" thank you. And I know school is tomorrow. What's wrong with that?
" Nothing just making sure you remember."
" Lier..."
" Ok! Truth is I gained weight ! I now weigh 135 pounds, Jayy."
He sighed, " Your not fat Violet. Your perfect the way you are!" I knew he was lying. He was skinny. Probably weighed 100.

" Whatever. I'll see at school."
" Are you mad at me." I knew he was pouting even though I couldn't see him. I chuckled. "No! I'm not mad!" I would never be mad at him. He giggled. " Good. I'll see you tomorrow." Kay bye." I hung up before he could say good bye. I sighed and grabbed amy clothes, took a shower, brushed my hair and brushed my teeth. I went to my bed and fell asleep. Maybe I would eat after all.

Heart of Cultivation
Book one is now available for purchase or download through Kindle Unlimited! Jian was a prodigy, at least until he discovered that his path of cultivation had hit a dead end almost as soon as it began. That was all years ago, though. He has long since resigned himself to his fate and prepared himself for a dull, ordinary, but happy life. Stunted cultivation or no, he's clever enough to carve out his own comfortable niche. Unfortunately, not all of the matters from his past have been settled. When a reckless mistake threatens to cost him everything, Jian will have to prove that he's desperate enough to rise to the occasion. Or that he's capable of avoiding the consequences. This is an affectionate reconstruction of the xianxia genre. I will be deploying the tropes from the genre that I enjoy in a framework that I think makes sense. The story updates on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and sometimes other days.

The Fire Within Can Be Scary
In a fantasy world similar to ours, magic worked similarly to physics, with each elemental spirit magic being tied to a state of matter. Earth is solid.Water is liquidAir is gas.Fire is plasma. Four elements, four states of matter. However in the ancient world of Hitarea, "Plasma" hadn't been discovered yet. The people of this world believe that only three states of matter existed, and thus, only three elemental magic could exist. For years, Earth, Water, and Air stood alone as the three main elements from which all others originated. Advanced arts like metal from earth, or Ice from water were only extensions of their original element . . . so what does that make Fire? Fire is powerful as the earth with its mighty explosions, flexible like water as it writhes around in the air, and swift like the wind. All at the same time. Fire, in regards to combat, is the most powerful element by far. This fearsome power is Alden's to master, but this power is a double-edged sword. One shouldn't play around with fire if you don't want to be burned. The fire within can be scary, you know?
