《Alaska: Queen of the Vampires》Chapter 21: That's My Lipstick
Advertisement
Alaska and Arian go to Poseidon's house to attend his son's wedding wherein Alaska finds Arian drunk with a girl on top of him.
What hurts is betrayal, the broken promise of someone telling you that you're special only to hide your own image in the mirror from you. Because if you looked in that mirror, all you would see is someone desperate to be loved.
That someone would be me.
And the white liar would be my mate.
I can already hear the gossip spreading from person to person. Is she actually Arian's mate? Did he finally realise she's not good enough for him? Is he in search for a new queen? It hurt. It hurt so bad because I believed thar I'd finally found the one.
After years of silent love and heartbreaks, I thought he'd be my always and forever.
A promise to be family.
I smiled sadly when I saw Avian across the room. He shook his head and told me to watch quietly. I didn't want to. Then I saw the girl holding his hand try to lift him up while the other girl straddling him reached out for a glass of water and sprinkled a few on him.
I breathed out in relief.
Thank you for not breaking my heart this time.
What was I even thinking? Arian Ice may be a heartless bastard at times but he is a man of honour. He promised me that I'm the only one. Now I'm the one that betrayed him. "Your highness!" The girl holding his hand exclaimed. I walked towards Arian and saw that his eyes were barely open.
"The King had to much to drink, your highness. We were just helping him get to his room. To your room," she mumbled nervously but with respect. I smiled slightly. "I didn't doubt you for a moment there." Then I turned to Avian. "Give me a hand?"

It was the toughest 10minutes of my life. Avian couldn't take Arian to our room by his Vamp speed because he couldn't carry him so we both put our arms around his stumbling body and through him onto my bed.
He was more or less conscious after that one time we accidentally dropped him down the staircase.
"The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah!" He started mumbling. I laughed and joined him. "The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah!" Avian looked at both of us weirdly but after Arian throwing a mini tantrum to get Avian go join in, he finally gave in.
"The ants go marching one by one,
The little one stops to suck his thumb!" Avian sang off-tune but hey none of us were members of One Direction. We were just a bunch of vampires and human that sang nursery rhymes for fun.
"And they all go marching doooowwwn to the grooouund," Arian and I sang in unison and the three of us burst into a fit of laughed.
"I can't believe I remember that song after so many years!" Arian marveled. "My all time favourite is Twinkle Twinkle," I giggled. We both stopped our chit-chat when we heard glass shatter in the bathroom.
Arian.
"When the fuck did he disappear?"
We rushed in to see him staring at the remanent of the mirror with bloodshot eyes holding a horrified look. His eyes met mine and he shook his head furiously. "I-I...this....who," he mumbled.I looked at the lipstick stain on his neck that was causing him to panic.
I smiled slightly.
"Arian," I said softly. He refused to listen and rubbed the lipstick mark furiously leaving red angry marks on his light skin. He reached for the steaming hot water gushing out of the tap and splashed it on his neck, only making it redder.

"Arian! Stop! It's okay, I'm not angry!" I yelled in distress but any movement I made towards him, made him move back further. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't want to do this. Please," he begged, slowly tearing up.
I took his hand in mine and kissed his palm. "That's my lipstick," I lied. He wasn't in a state to understand what had previously happened. His eyes grew wide before he let out a deep sigh and hugged me tightly like a little child.
"I'll never hurt you. I promise," he mumbled softly as he played with my hair.
"I know," I sighed. "We need to get you in the shower. It'll get you back into your senses," I told Arian and guided him towards the shower head. He began unbuttoned his trousers.
I squeezed my eyes shut. "No no no! Keep your clothes on!" I squeaked in embarrassment. This man is a terror. He frowned and sauntered back into the bathroom like a model on a runway.
"That's boring. Why don't we both take our clothes off and make out?" He suggested.
"Seriously guys, I'm still here," Avian groaned from the opposite side of the bathroom.
My cheeks warmed up. I completely forgot that we had company. Arian looked at his cousin and whined. "Fine! I'm going!" Avian huffed.
I followed him out and stopped him. "Can we pretend that never happened?" I begged. Avian smirked. "Trust me, I don't want to be reminded of that either." I headed back to the bathroom to see Arian with a bar of soap in his mouth.
"Arian! You're not supposed to eat that!" I groaned.
He looked at me with wide eyes.
"But it smells so good!" He whined.
I snatched it from his hand and made him shower after I left. He came out tired and threw himself on the bed and landed with a thud. He pulled the quilt to cover his face before peaking out to see where I was. I shook my head at his childishness and sat beside him. He put his head on my lap and played with the ends of my hair until he drifted off into a peaceful slumber. I gently put his head on a pillow and slipped into bed next to him. I looked at his covered figure for a while before I shut my eyes and let sleep consume me.
And I won't even mind.
