"Here we are!" My mom says with a grin.
This house is huge. It's not a mansion, but it's big. The outside seems pretty old. It's got dirty, chipped siding, despite all odds, I actually like this. It's nice.
"Can we chose our rooms?" My sister asks exitedly.
"Of course, Avarie." She replies, still smiling.
Avarie runs up the stairs and goes inside. I look at my mom. She's always been there for me, yet, she was so delusional at the same time. She thinks every time Dad says he's coming home he will. It's only about half the time he comes, and when he does, he almost never stays as long as he says he will.
"Do you want to chose your room?" My mom asks. I nod, and take a few boxes and walk in the house. The living-room is pretty big. The house is more updated than I expected it to be. On the side of the livingroom, is a small kitchen, especially small for the size of this house. I bring my two boxes upstairs. My sister has already claimed one of the 4 rooms besides the master bedroom. I walk into a random one, and put my boxes down.
The room is painted a light blue. I like it. It's not furnished yet, but it's bigger than my room in New York. I open my first box. My books. I smile. I want to open one, curl up in a bed and read. I smile at the thought. I guess that's a good thing about moving away from the city. No honking horns or anything to bother you.
My mom walks in the room.
"The movers are here, Claire" she says, "we should go outside and stay out their way."
"Alright mom," I say. I follow her outside. Once the movers put out furniture in, they put our boxes in. My mom pays them, and they leave. I walk in my new room. My furniture is all white, so it goes with the wall color. I take out my books and put them on their proper shelf. It about dinner time, now. My mom makes Avarie and me some sandwiches, since we haven't unloaded the pans yet.

After dinner, I go to my room to finish unpacking my books. I find my favorite, "Stereotypes". It's a story of two unlikely friends, an all star cheerleader, and a geeky girl, like me. Things like that only happen in books. I can't push my luck. I head to bed, not wanting the next day to come.
•. •. •.
I wake up to the sound of an annoying alarm clock on my floor. Great. I feel around on my floor and turn it off. I pull my covers off and go downstairs. I head to the kitchen and make myself a bowl of cereal. I start eating it when my mom walks down tiredly.
"Good morning," I say.
"Morning," she replies groggily.
She pours herself a cup of coffee. My mom sits down and asks, "Are you exited for your first day?"
"No." I say truthfully.
She sighs, "You're going to love it here, honey, okay?"
"That's what you think" I admit.
"Claire," she begins, "Give Riverbank High a chance."
I sigh.
"I'll make a deal with you," she says.
"What deal?" I inquire.
"If at the end of the school year you still hate your new school and you start having problems with the kids, I'll homeschool you. If you like it there, you can stay. Simple?" She asks.
I think about it. One year can't be too bad.
"Okay, mom." I say, "You have a deal."
She smiles, "Great. Now go to school before you're late." She demands jokingly.
I grin and grab my bag. One year. I can do that.

I only really remember the first one: [The [Simplification Process] has begun.] And so, while the world was doing a 180, I was stuck deep underground as an incorporeal soul, absorbing the essences of thousands others like me who had been torn to shreds just to prevent myself from dissipating, and trying desperately to go up while recovering jumbled up memories from my past.
