Fiona smiled softly, her heart happy and sad as she watched Leah tackle her butler and plant a bold kiss on his lips. Her smile transformed into a gentle laugh as Wren tangled his fingers in her hair, obviously not minding the affectionate display.

"I don't think I have seen you smile like that since returning from England." Tony's voice startled her and she turned with annoyance as he came to stand beside her at the window. "Blackmail is more fun than you realized. Is it not?"

Her form going rigid, the maid glared before turning back to the window. "Anything is worth my sister's happiness. Even standing against you."

"I admit it is nice to see my daughter so happy and though I don't fancy having an ex-convict for a son-in-law, I just might be able to make something out of Wren Adams. Maybe even make him as powerful as I."

"Wren is already twice the man you will ever be." Fiona's cold tone must have hit its mark for the wealthy man tensed as well.

"Just be sure to keep your end of the bargain."

Turning, Fiona met his gaze with a frank stare. "As long as you allow Leah and Wren to be together, I swear that Leah will never know we share the same father."

Tony studied her before finally nodding. "Good. As long as you stay true to your word, I will stay true to mine." With that, he left her.

Rolling her eyes, Fiona turned back to the window. Wren and Leah were strolling hand in hand, deep in conversation but even from her distant perch, she could see her sister's joyful expression. One hand slipped into her dress pocket where she crunched the letter in a tight fist.

"As long as you are happy, my sister... Even blackmail is worth it." She whispered.
