《Is it Love? (Flash x Reader)》Chapter 8

Barry and I both ran back into the cortex, I was still in shock about what had just happened, as I put my suit back in the ring Cisco asked,
"What the hell was that thing?, it was just as fast as you Y/N?"
"I know, "That's the Reverse Flash from Earth 5, the man who stole everything from me," I said tearing up I walked out of the cortex, brushing past Barry. I just had to get out of there, away from the questions, away from everything, because to be honest...even I didn't know what was happening to me.
"Whoa, did I say something?" Cisco asked.
"No...I got it," Barry said running out of the cortex after Y/N.
Barry's POV:
I found Y/N crying down in the pipeline, she was sitting with her face in her hands, just seeing her in pain made me want to cry.
"What's wrong?" I asked, I had to know what was wrong with her.
"N-nothing," she said wiping away her tears, still looking down.
"No," I said lifting her chin, "I know you Y/N, and something is most certainly wrong...let me help," I said trying to make her feel safe. She rushed into my arms and began to break down.
"I'm scared of losing you Barry, I can't lose you too," she said as she cried with her head in my chest.
She backed up and looked at me, tears in her eyes, I brushed her hair out of her face and behind her ear with my hands as I said,
"It's okay, you're okay...I'm not going anywhere," I said cupping her face in my hands and then I kissed her trying to reassure that I wasn't going to leave...I can't imagine my life without her, "I'm not gonna go anywhere."

Then I just sat there with her in my arms, until she calmed down. Then about a half hour later I asked,
"You ready to go back?", knowing that she wouldn't want to go alone.
"Yeah," she said as I helped her up, then we walked back to the cortex, she intertwined her fingers with mine. I couldn't help but smile at the fact that I was not only the fastest man alive but also the luckiest.
Y/N POV:
Once Barry had finally reassured me that everything was okay we decided to head back up to the Cortex. On our way up I grabbed his hand and intertwined my fingers with his. I looked at him and he smiled, as did I. "How lucky am I?" I thought to myself as we round the corner back into the Cortex.
"Hey, you feeling better?" Cisco asked trying to be a good friend.
"Yeah, a little," I said giving a thankful look to Barry, he smiled and squeezed my hand.
"So...quick question, how did you just create those lightning bolts in your hands?" Cisco asked curiously.
"Oh, uhm basically I just vibrate my hand so it generates electricity, and then the gloves on my suit are designed to help me harness and manipulate that electricity, but I can kind of do it without the gloves," I said creating a bolt with my free hand. "It just doesn't last as long."
Cisco just stared at me with wide eyes. I could tell he was shocked by this ability.
"You have to teach me how to do that!" Barry said while staring at my hand, I could tell he was jealous.
"Okay, that's it...tomorrow you're coming in and showing me 'all' your abilities," Cisco said, I could tell he was excited to see what I could do.

"Okay, but right now I'm just tired," I said. This was true, all that running through the city after the Reverse Flash had really worn me out.
"Okay," Barry said picking me up and running us both to his apartment. When we arrived he placed me in his bed.
"Why am I in your room?" I asked curiously.
"Well, I figured we've been sleeping in your bed, or on the couch most nights, so I thought that I could make my room 'our' room," he said as he changed into his pajamas.
"So...does that make 'this' official," I said gesturing to both of us.
"Yeah, I guess it does," he said with a growing smile on his face.
"Okay," I said with a smile as I got up and gave him a quick kiss.
Then I ran to my room and grabbed all of my things, and then raced back to his room and put everything in there. He was sitting on the bed, and I was about to change into my pajamas, but then I thought that if we were official that I might as well wear one of his shirts. As I put it on a smile grew across my face, it was big so it was more of a dress...but I wasn't complaining.
"Done," I said walking back to the bed and sitting next to Barry.
Barry's POV:
As soon as she kissed me she ran out of the room and grabbed her stuff and then ran into the closet. I figured she was changing into her pajamas...that was until she walked out in one of my shirts. God, she's perfect, I liked seeing her in one of my shirts, even if it did look like a dress on her. She sat on the bed next to me and I couldn't help but kiss her. She kissed back immediatley and wrapped her arms around my neck and deepened the kiss. I slid my hands under her shirt until I was grabbing at her bare waist, then I pulled off my shirt, and began tugging on hers. Then she put her hands on my chest and pulled away. She could tell where I was trying to go with this.
"Moving a little fast don't you think Flash," she said raising her brow.
"Yeah, but God you're beautiful," I said pulling her under the covers.
Her and I both settled on just cuddling. I wrapped my arms around her, as she rested her head on my bare chest.
"I could get used to this," I said kissing her forehead.
"Me too," she said looking up, she gave me one last kiss before falling asleep.
