Chase and Mr. Davenport stared at the damage to the ceiling with wide eyes. I, on the other hand, stared at my hands.

There were no burns, no frostbite. It was as though I had created the fire and ice on my own.

"Well," I said, "anyone have an explanation for that?"

Chase swallowed hard, and Mr. Davenport stood there slack jawed.

"I'll take that as a no."

"(Y/n)," Chase began, but I cut him off.

"Great, just freaking fantastic. What am I supposed to do now?"

"I've already contacted your parents to tell them that you'll be spending the night here. You're welcome to move around in his room only until we can figure out what's going on with you," Mr. Davenport replied, back slowly out of the room.

So now I was a prisoner. Flipping fantastic.

At least there's a window.
