《Noah Jupe imagines》Bear Trap

Edited version of Bear Trap, I deleted the other one
We were currently walking down a sandy pathway, looking for a new place to stay. Marcus held my hand in his and we both held bags in our other hand. Regan was ahead of us, along with Evelyn. Evelyn was holding her newborn baby and both girls held a basket, which we had to put the baby in sometimes.
We soon came across a wired fence, a gap in the middle which all four of us could fit through. But as Evelyn made it to the other side, her foot touched a long piece of string, that wasn't even noticeable, we all heard something and turned our heads, seeing a line that was attached with bottles. I looked at Evelyn in a panic state and all she whispered was "run"
And thats what we did. We ran as fast as we could. Marcus had a good grip on my hand and squeezed it before letting go, so he could have a better hold onto our supplies. But as we turned the corner, i felt a sharp pain in my foot and fell down.
I slowly looked behind me and saw a bear trap clawing at my foot and the pain immediately shot through my body. I did the only thing a person would do, i let out the loudest scream which caught Marcus, Evelyn and Regan's attention. My boyfriend immediately kneeled in front of my and covered my mouth with his hand.
I couldn't stop screaming though, the pain was unbearable. "Baby, you have to be quiet, please" Marcus begged in a soft whisper. I tried to contain my screams but I couldn't. Marcus gave his bags to Regan and picked me up, causing me to cling onto him. The baby soon started crying and we heard the creature coming nearby. Regan placed the baby in the basket then took her hearing aid out and placed it against something.

As Evelyn and Regan were killing the monster, Marcus was just comforting me. "Calm down, please sweetheart..." he murmured but the sobs never stopped escaping my throat. As Marcus carried me, they all ran into a building but another man came out and took me out of Marcus's arms before dragging the others in. But that's all I remember..
Before i blacked out..
—
I woke up in a small space, i looked up to see Marcus cradling my head to his chest. He looked down at me and placed his hand on my face, rubbing my cheek before turning to his mum and signing 'Shes awake' which made Evelyn sigh in relief before taking me off Marcus's lap.
I was placed into the space next to him, the man and Regan got out of the safe and closed it which made me look up at the other two in confusion. "Y/n, look at me, don't focus on my mum right now okay?" Marcus whispered, gently cupping my face making me stare into his eyes.
Before i could question anything, i felt a major stinging pain on my foot and immediately turned my head to see Evelyn pouring something on it. I screamed out in pain which made Marcus hold my head onto his chest. "It's okay, It's okay.." he mumbled while kissing my forehead. His voice calmed me down a little, Evelyn soon left the safe, leaving Marcus and i by ourselves.
"It hurts" was all I whispered making my boyfriend look at me in sadness and sympathy. "I know love, it'll be better soon, I promise" he murmured, cuddling me closer. His hands rubbed my sides and arms. For the first time today, i felt safe. And for the second time today, i fell asleep. The last thing i felt was Marcus kissing my cheeks.

The next morning, i woke up on a bed. It wasn't too comfortable but it was good enough, and it was way better than nothing. I looked around to see Evelyn begging the man- who i now recognised as Emmett, to go and find...Regan? I stood up in panic but two hands gently pulled me back down. Marcus was now in front of me. "Wheres Regan?" I signed. Luckily i knew sign language because my family and the Abbotts were extremely close.
Tears formed in my eyes when Marcus shook his head, signing "she left" my best friend had gone..god knows if she'll live. I turned to look at Emmett. "Please, find my best friend...we already lost Lee, we can't lose her too" I begged in sign language, i was in too much pain to talk. "What did she say?" Emmett asked Marcus's mother. She sighed and translated what i said.
After sometime of begging, Emmett gave in. He grabbed some supplies along with a gun, then headed out. We were left alone, just us three including the baby...but not for long.

Scorched - The Winter Winds (LitRPG)
Frank Ebner once wanted to save the world. Let the second one be better than the first. On Earth he was a student of... well it hardly matters anymore. It was dying, and he and the rest of his fellows and friends studying how to stave off the end graduated just in time to be told it was too late. That there was not enough time, funds, will, to stop it anymore. That the governments and the worthies of the world had moved from trying to stop it, to surviving the oncoming apocalypse, while blaming each other. That was a world Frank wanted nothing to do with. One riven by wars for places in the Archologies going up, and between them and the dying world they were leaving behind. So when a strange voice offered him a way out, to a world unmarred by the poison killing his? Frank took it. The voyage changed him, made him fit his new world, one of stats and magic. It came with perks, for in passing through their Heavens, they'd been exposed to Divinity, and taken some of the Celestial within them. Heroes now, but there are heroes, and there are Heroes. The nobility of the Empire care only for those who carry blessed bloodlines, and their time to adapt and train up for the new world is limited. Patrons are scarce among those like Frank, with only the base Hero perks, and magic studies expensive and lengthy. Often requiring heavy Oaths to gain the necessary aid to wield mana as a mage. Frank found another way. It nearly cost him his life. Now on the run and burned by the very magic he sought and craved, he is a pilgrim traveling to the The Eternal Tree, font of Perseverance. Frank hopes Ir-karlak will grant him some way to recover from the fires that scorched him. Without snuffing out the embers those fires lit within, for he has learned to harness them and he would not give up magic for the world. *** In the last 21 days, as I update this, I've managed about 18-19 updates. So Scorched should update most days, muse willing. She's fickle, sometimes. Not every day, but most. If there's an update for the day, it will be at 7PM, GMT+2. *[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Actually completed it. :) *

El's Revenge
“Revenge is not for the dead- we, as the living, take revenge to relieve the burden we feel,” I whispered into the air. “Salvation for the people who suffered because of you,” I watched as the city burned in the flames. “Salvation for the people like me, who believed in the proclaimed heroes when in reality they were the devils.” I smiled faintly as the ‘holy land’ of those ‘saints’ was destroyed. I heard rustling sounds as Charlotte came to stand next to me, grabbing my hand. “El, are we the bad guys?” If I was still the same as I was before, I might’ve broken down and started crying. Now, it was different. “A villain is just another victim. They cry and mourn, it’s just that no one heard, leading them into madness. It’s one of the reasons why we know the most, but care the least.” I took a deep breath. “We may be the bad guys in other peoples’ eyes, but in my story, we’re the heroes.” Charlotte took in my words for a while and pondered, before nodding in agreement. “As children, we loved the heroes, as adults we understand the villains.” I looked at her and bonked her on the head, earning an angry glare from her. “Hey! You’re barely an adult yourself you know,” she grumbled. I laughed and ruffled her hair, before countering her. “At least I’m not 12. You can’t even be considered a teenager at that age.” After that, we silently watched the flames ravage the land, before leaving.
