《Living With Them || StrayKids ff》{Chapter 21}

"How have you been Ro?", he eyed me from head to toe.
Ew.
And that ladies and gentlemen, are some cons of being a waitress.
You just have to stick a fake smile and serve whoever comes for a coffee. Despite liking the customer or not you just have to be professional and do your best.
But considering the situation right now, oh how I would love to smack that smirk of his out of his disgusting lips and flush him in the toilet.
He's a shit that needs to be flashed away after all.
It's not like I hate him. It's more like I don't want to have anything to do with him. If you asked me though, I would gladly kick him where the sun doesn't shine.
But I'll stay professional.
I'll try at least.
I inhaled deeply and forced a smile.
"I've been good. Now what would you like to order?"
I'll try to get it over with.
He looked at me a bit taken aback from my respond as I did not returned the question. But he quickly smirked again.
Ew
"Oh come on Ro. I haven't seen you in so long and you just want to get it over with?"
Precisely.
"I have a job to do, Caleb. I can't just chit-chat with you just because of that. There are customers that I need to serve. Now will you order anything or shall I leave?", I snapped.
If he thinks that I'll throw everything for him and befriend him again, he got it all wrong.
He sighed and shook his head in defeat.
"Fine. I'll have a caramel macchiato with a chocolate muffin.", he repsonded while studying me with a gaze I couldn't read.
His blue eyes seemed hollow. He watched every single move of mine as he gave off a weird aura.
What a creep.
"I'll be back with your order."
I faked a smile and left his table.
___
Time passed and I was getting ready to go home. It was an exhausting day again and the fact that I met Caleb again after years isn't making my situation better either. I just want to go home and cuddle up with my pillow and have fun with the boys.

Speaking of Caleb.
He hasn't left his spot since morning. He ordered a couple of times more, while focusing on his laptop, probably studying for college?
He did stare at me at times and whenever he did, it disgusted me so much. Because he was basically undressing me with his eyes and I felt super uncomfortable.
Still a player I see.
I cleaned all the empty tables and walked through the only occupied one.
I seriously don't feel like talking to him right now.
I just want to go home.
"Caleb you will have to leave now. My shift is over and I'll be closing the shop."
I looked down on him waiting for his reply.
He looked up at me with a poker face.
"Oh.. Okay then."
He gathered his belongings, wore his coat and made his way to the entrance.
Bye bye bish.
I sighed a sigh of relief and cleaned the last table. I tidied up a bit the whole shop and took off my apron. I grabbed a box to put some muffins for the boys and stepped outside the shop, locking it.
Miss Emily had left earlier this afternoon telling me that she had some errands to run. So she told me to lock up the shop.
I don't even have the strength to walk home now. Having the shop for yourself is quite a handful.
"You done for the day?"
I manly voice spoke from behind me.
A very familiar one.
I rolled my eyes and turned to face Caleb.
"Why are you still here?"
My annoyance was visibly plastered on my face.
"I was actually waiting for you the whole day.", he smiled.
He smiles?
"I didn't ask you to. What do you want Caleb?", I snapped.
He is wasting my precious time here.
"Wow chill woman. I was just hoping that we could catch up maybe?"
Is he for real now?
Ever since we broke up, we never spoke to each other. Not a single word. And he's asking me now to catch up with him?

Pff yeah sure honey.
"Look here buddy. I'm tired and the only think that is on my mind now is go home and rest. I don't have time for that. Sorry."
Not sorry
"Maybe some other time then? Can I get your number?"
The heck?
He's unbelievable. Is he seriously expecting me to give him my number?
I looked at him dumbfounded. I'm still processing.
"Umm...", I trailed off.
"Come on now Ro. Just for a hang out as old friends.", he assured me.
Friends?
Since when?
As I parted my lips to speak again my phone rang.
Oh thank God.
I smile to myself and pick up the phone without looking at the ID caller.
"Hello-"
"Where on earth are you Rosa? It's past five thirty. Your shift finished half an hour ago. You should have been here.", Felix started talking none stop, like a worried mother.
Aww how cute.
Wait-
"Felix? How did you get my number. I don't remember giving it to you."
There was silence aftet that.
"Felix? You there?", I added afterwards.
"Yeah...nevermind that. We actually all got your phone number just in case, without you knowing. But that's not the point here. Where are you?"
"Mhm...okay..? I'm coming home now don't worry. It was just a busy day and something kept bugging me."
More like a someone.
I just looked at Caleb when I said that.
"Okay walk home safe. We are waiting for you. We cooked steak.", he said relieved.
"Sweet! See you there. Bye.", I said and hung up the phone.
They worry too much.
"Gotta go. Have a nice day.", I spoke to Caleb with a cold tone.
He was staring at me the whole time, probably trying to listen through the phone.
"See ya around?", he grabbed my hand preventing me from walking off.
No.
"I guess so. Bye now.", I broke free from his hand and stepped away leaving him standing there.
___
When I stepped in the house I was instantly greeted by eight beautiful human beings.
"Rosa you are back!", Jeongin jumped up to me.
I ruffled his hair with a smile.
"Why did you take so long?", he gave me his puppy eyes.
My hearteu.
"It was a very busy day. I had to take care of the shop on my own for most of the day.", I sighed deeply and plopped myself on the couch, melting in the soft cushions.
"You looke terrible. Did anything happened?", Minho asked worridly.
Everything happened.
I sighed again and turned my head to look at him.
"Yeah... My ex came came over the shop today.", I closed my eyes in frustration.
They all widened their eyes to my words.
"Hell nah. And what did he do?", Jisung spoke curiously while sitting next to me.
"He was behaving weirdly to be honest. He stayed the whole day and when I was just about to leave the shop, he magically came from behind me asking for my number with the excuse of wanting to catch up.", I scoffed.
"The audacity...", Changbin snorted.
"Exactly."
"Want me to take care of him for you?", Chan spoke with a smile.
I laughed at his statement.
"Nahh. I can do that myself.", I joked.
"And what did you do? Did you give him your number?", Felix seemed a bit serious.
"I was going to but that exact time you called and saved me from doing so.", I thankfully smiled at him and he smiled back with a sigh of relief.
Relief?

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.

"Oh, poor boy, what are you go to do about it?" The yellow teeth gleam as he begins stalking towards the boy who does not look the least bit fazed. I look around at the other men who are following the leader. I pull Cassandra tighter to my back as I take small steps back. I keep my eye trained on the men but also fear for the naive boy. "Do you really want to test me Dante?" He asks raising a single eyebrow. For a minute the men stop their movements. I see their hesitation for fear... Fear of what?
