《Living With Them || StrayKids ff》{Chapter 27}

I raised up my head to see the view.
Oh wow
To say that I was fascinated by the decoration would be an understatement. They really took it to another level this year. Everything is so mesmerizing. There's fairylights everywhere, lighting up the whole area with that warm illuminating light. The festival is live and full of people.
A lot of them that I don't know, dare I say.
There is soft music playing and some people dancing to the beat.
Mostly couples.
Some others are chatting with each other, laughing and having fun. The delicious smell of freshly made popcorn with butter hit my nostrils, almost making me drool.
Oh I'm so gonna have some of that later.
There're some little children playing around, chasing one another with a stick of cotton candy on their hands.
Imma have some of that too.
Everything seems so lovely and fairy-like.
Speaking of fairy.
Since when did we have a ferris wheel on the festival? That must have been expensive. How could they afford such thing?
Eh it's not like I care anyways.
It's a nice touch and it seems fun. I might get on it later.
"Oh wow. I wasn't expecting that.", Changbin exclaimed speechless of the view.
"And what did you expect? That it would be a lame festival? No honey, you got it all wrong.", Vicky was quick to reply and defend her hometown.
"To be honest with you, yeah that's what I thought. But seems that I'm way out of it."
"It's so beautiful, and the atmosphere seems welcoming. There's a lot of people though.", Seungmin added.
"Don't worry about being recognized. The locals are so not into kpop and today's trends overall. So don't worry. No offence though.", I reassured him with a warm smile and he smiled back.
"It's so nice here! There is a cotton candy machine over there! Can we get some, please?", Jeongin tacked on my sleeve and looked at me with his cute little sparkling eyes.
How can I say no to this?
"Of course we will! Why don't we go right now?", I said and smirk.
I saw his grin getting wider by my words and he started jumping around like the happy kid he is.
Cute.
"Who wants some cotton candy?", I turned my head to the rest of the group.

They all raised their hands eagerly.
Wow that was quick.
"Let's go then!"
"Oh no honey. You will not start by eating food again.", Vicky cocked and eyebrow and crossed her arms.
"Why not. Everyone wants some anyways.", I stuck my tongue out and giggled. "Besides, you said that the boys here should keep me company and make me have fun, and that's what we are about to do."
They all nodded in the process and my best friend sighed defeated.
"Fine. I'll leave you to it. I have some friends to meet. Have fun you guys. See ya around.", she waved at us and walked away.
Mwahahha
"Now that the cat's gone, let's go get some food!", I said excitedly and got the same reaction from the eight boys.
We run to the cotton candy machine where we were greeted by and old man.
"Good evening mister Philip, can we have nine cotton candy sticks please?"
"Oh my. Well hello there Rosalynn, my dear. Seems like you are having company this year. And who are these handsome men, may I ask?"
Ermm
My kpop idols?
My loves of my life?
The apple to my pie?
The straw to me berry?
The smoke to my high?
And the ones I'm gonna marry-
I should probably stop here.
"Oh they're some friends of mine that I made this year and thought it would be fun to invite them to the festival.", I sighed in relief satisfied with my quick reply.
He nodded with a smile and the boys smiled back.
"Hello mister Philip, it's nice to meet you.", they all said in union and bowed to him.
That's embarrassing, considering that here we don't bow to greet someone.
But I should have seen it coming.
Mister Philip laughed with their actions and proceeded to prepare the cotton candy.
"Have fun.", he said warmly after handing over the last cotton candy.
We smiled to him and left while stuffing our cheeks with the pink heavenly sweet cloud make of sugar.
Why does the unhealthy food taste so good? It's not fair.

"Hey! Stop it or else Imma gonna stuff your cheeks with popcorn untill the burst out!", I yelled at Jisung who was currently throwing popcorn at me.

Its such a waste.
I could have eaten that instead.
I'm now covered with little pieces of popcorn all over my body. Needless to say that I reek of salted butter.
"You have a death wish? You are so done right now.", I started chasing him all over the grass area as much as I could, considering that I was wearing heels. They weren't this high but still it's not an easy thing to do.
He started running away from me with giggles while trying to hide behind of some of the boys.
"Hehe you are never going to catch me.", he stuck his tongue out and threw another popcorn on me.
This little chipmunk.
"You are lucky that I'm wearing heels or else you would be dead by now.", I scoffed.
Suddenly I felt another piece of popcorn been thrown at me from behind.
But Jisung is infront of me.
Who wants to die now?
I turn my head furiously to see who did that and saw Felix smiling smugly at me.
Oh no he didn't.
"Oh common now. Not you Felix!", I whined frustratedly as he kept throwing popcorn.
I swear I'm going to kill both of them.
I decided to fire back and throw simultaneously popcorn on both the little annoying chipmunk and the devilish freckled chick.
They were taking aback at first but bith smirked in the process.
And then the war began.

We ended up stopping after a good 15-minute run of chasing one another.
Gosh I'm exhausted.
We were laughing like crazy while the rest of the boys were watching us entertained all along, casually eating their popcorn.
The grass is full of it and I just hope that we won't get scolded by the locals afterwards.
"Look what you've done to me. I'll need a good bath aftet that.", I sighed and showed them my current state with popcorn pieces all over my hair and salt on my dress.
I started dusting off as much as I could and while I was doing that I heard Felix's laugh approaching me.
"Here let me help you."
He came closer to me and raised his hand to pull off some popcorn of my hair. I was too shocked by his sudden gesture and closure that I couldn't move. I could feel his breath on my skin, hitting my cheek gently. I just stood there frozen, looking at his gorgeous face and how focused he was on his work.
His hand was gentle as he lightly stroked my hair every time, brushing it slightly to clean me from the mess.
At this point I could actually count his beautiful starts, called freckles to at least distract myself from his intimate presence.
"Stop looking at me like that."
His deep voice broke my thoughts and lost the count of how many freckles I counted. I glance up and met his eyes. He was staring deep into my eyes with a slight smirk. I felt my face heating up but got distracted when I saw a small chunk of popcorn tangled in his bangs.
I raised my hand and touched his hair, trying to take off the chunk. I heard him gulping and for a moment I thought he stopped breathing.
I stare back at him satisfied with my work whilst trying to wash off the obvious blush that was creeping on my cheeks.
"There. You had a piece of popcorn in your bangs..", I trailed off nervously and smiled slightly.
He looked at me for a couple of seconds before finally replying. "Thanks.", was all he said before stepping back a bit, creating a distance between us.
"I-I'll go get some water.", I stuttered stepping away before giving him a chance to say anything.
What the heck.
What was that?
Why am I behaving like this? It's different from my normal fangirling. Why am I like this?
I pick up my pace and look around trying to find where the water bottles were.
I spot a table a little further with dozens of them and some other drinks as well. I started walking towards the table and when I arrived there I immediately opened up a water bottle and drank the whole thing.
I have to cool down.
"And here I thought I wouldn't see you tonight."
A voice spoke from beside me.
I turn my head and came face to face with the only person I don't want to see right now.
Not now, not ever.
Caleb.
