Making doughnuts was child's play for you. Making doughnuts for a Giant roughly two to three times the size of Ace is a tad bit different. However, you liked a good challenge and your motherly mode had already kicked in. You were fuelled with determination.
Silently observing you from the other side of the bakery, Katakuri watched as your petite form expertly prepared the dough to be used. He knew very well that being a baker was a demanding job and required a lot of stamina and arm strength, so saw that you were the baker, he was very skeptical, to say the least. But seeing you in action, removed all doubt from his mind. You were effortlessly whipping up a storm. Your hair temporarily stuffed into a small bobble, blue flowers intertwined throughout your (h/c) locks, with one white flower sticking out. Your (e/c) orbs burned with determination, which was brought out by your smooth (s/c) skin. From Katakuri's point of view, you were in your element.
"I should be done in 40" You informed, snapping Katakuri out of his trance to nod at you.
----------------------------------------------------------
After patiently waiting, you were finally able to serve your masterpiece.
"Aaaannnd we're good to go!" You proudly exclaimed as you pushed forward your first batch of doughnuts on a trolly.
They were around half the size of yourself and you'd somehow managed to stuff three of them on a trolley. All of them were the typical doughnut shape, round with a hole in the middle, but each one was glazed in a different type of icing that would make anyone's mouth water. Katakuri had been watching you the whole time and mouthwatering beneath his scarf. The doughnuts were a lot smaller than what he was normally served but he allowed that to fall under technical difficulties due to lack of equipment. He reached down to pick up a doughnut but before he ate you did something that surprised him.
"Well don't keep me in suspense" you smiled with your back turned to him.
"...What are you doing?" He questioned.
"I'm waiting for your criticism. Why? Am I doing something wrong?" You innocently answered back was still turned away from him.
"But you're facing the other-"
"Oh! I thought that would make you feel better?" You chuckled to yourself as Katakuri remained speechless.
"Why?" was all he could manage
"Since you've been here you've adjusted your scarf multiple times to cover your face. I kind of assumed you may have an insecurity that you don't want others to see. But that might be hard if your about to eat so I thought if I turn around you may feel more comfortable in eating" You explained.
You'd gotten all of that information from him and it hadn't even been a day. Katakuri was astounded by your sense of reasoning, and your ability to read people's actions with such accuracy.
"And you're not going to turn around?" He muttered in disbelief.
"You have my word, I will only turn around when you give me the go-ahead" you confirmed.
Katakuri eyed you suspiciously, fortunately, all of his doubts were removed when he used his haki ability. Each vision you were facing the other way purely focused on his reaction and whether he'd enjoy it. The anticipation was eating away at you. He could see that you sincerely had no intention of looking. With that, he formed a small smile behind his scarf. Removing his it slowly, he unhinged his jaw and threw in the first doughnut.

"Weeeeellll... Don't leave me in suspense Katakuri" you whined as you heard him chewing your doughnut.
Katakuri had never had such a wonderful sensation on his tastebuds. Without the frosting, the doughnut would have still been delicious. It had a natural sweetness, with a crispy outside encasing the solid yet fluffy inside. It was breathtaking. And then the icing. It wasn't sickeningly sweet but not just there for decoration, it was a perfect balance, complimenting the pastry perfectly. Katakuri had found a little piece of heaven in the grand line, and he had to have it permanently. A small hum of delight was heard from Katakuri and that was all you needed to hear. Fist pumping the air, you started bouncing around on the spot, careful not to turn around, as promised.
"Yes!" You cheered as you bounced around. "I have a feeling that's not going to be enough so when you are done I'll bring them round, three at a time"
Katakuri was too busy savoring the taste of joy in the form of a doughnut, to respond to your new information. When he had finished the three he'd pulled up his scarf and you were allowed to turn around and retrieve more doughnuts. This process continued for a while. It was nice but in all the excitement, you'd forgotten that you needed to eat as well. Your stomach waited for the perfect moment to strike, whilst your back was turned and Katakuri was eating.
*Growl*
There it was, the sea king mating call. You were as red as a tomato and Katkuri could see it from your ears burning bright.
"I-I'm so sorry! I should probably go and-" your flustered form was stopped when half of a giant doughnut was placed in front of you.
Out of shock, you swiveled around to face Katakuri. Of course, he'd seen this outcome and already adjusted his scarf. His cheeks tinted a light shade of pink as he stared in the other direction. His crimson eyes darting away when you made eye-contact.
"Eat" he demanded
You couldn't stop the smile as you nodded and tucked into the doughnut that was roughly a quarter of the size of you.
'It tastes so good' you gushed as the flavors pranced around on your tastebuds.
Katakuri watched as you nibbled at the piece of doughnut he'd given you. You looked so cute and gentle, yet still had such a strong resolve. It was refreshing, refreshingly beautiful.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After a lot of hard work, you'd accomplished the goal of feeding a giant. An achievement not many could talk about. Katakuri's mood seemed to have improved immensely since the doughnuts, so that was also helpful to you. That was until you remembered that by the end of this you still had to turn him down.
'Why does it always have to be the tall handsome guy with gorgeous hair that offer me things I can't accept' You sighed.
"Why can't you accept it?" Katakuri raised an inquisitive brow.
"You know that I can't-"
You flushed in embarrassment. 'Oh for the love of one piece, I can't believe I keep falling for that... how embarrassing...'
"I-I uh its...It's because I can't risk drawing attention to myself" you stammered.
Katakuri looked at you intensely which you translated as 'please elaborate'
"I made a promise to some people, who are very important to me. I wanted to make a place that felt like home. For pirates, the seas can be relentless and unforgiving, so I want to make sure that when they arrive here they can rest. Without the worry of navy looming over them, or the paranoia of an ambush from other pirates" you sighed.

"You want them to feel at ease" Katakuri finished. "And even if you did work from here under the name of Big Mom, It may act as a deterrent to your friends"
"Exactly" You nodded.
"So what your saying is, as long as your business remains a secret to the world, you would happily work under us" Katakuri clarified.
'How did he get to that conclusion' you looked at him curiously.
"I mean... I guess if it were possible I would gladly take your orders as long as it doesn't take up the time of people who live here" you fiddled with your hair in thought.
Katakuri remained silent, but his mind was busy calculating ways in which he could win you over. Before bringing your skills back was a small but serious errand, now that he'd finally tasted your doughnuts, this turned into a full-blown mission.
"Katakuri it's starting to get late. Maybe we should call it a night and try to sleep" you suggested.
There you were. telling him what to do again without any fear of the repercussions. He gave you a small nod and shuffled around a bit, but remained in the same position as before (cause he's still a giant). He seemed comfortable and nodded in satisfaction. Dimming the last of the lamps you sat down on your makeshift bed. It was on the other side of the room of Katakuri but you could both see each other.
"Katakuri before we go to sleep I have one last question" you hummed.
Katakuri relaxed closing his eyes and patiently awaiting your question, but they immediately shot back open. He whipped round to look at you in absolute horror, as he started to pale. His Haki had given him insight on the question but he wasn't sure if he'd heard correctly. You weren't looking at him or his expression because you were focused on the answer.
"Why do you hide your face when you have such a nice smile?" you asked turning to face the stunned giant.
"WHEN DID YOU SEE?!" He growled.
"It was an accident!" you waved your hands frantically. "While you were eating doughnuts, my back was turned, but I caught a glimpse in the reflection of one of my display cabinet windows. I didn't want to startle you and you seemed to be enjoying the food so I just left it alone" you hurriedly explained.
Everything was dim and silence reigned supreme in the dead air, that we like to call, tension. Katakuri was motionless. You'd known for so long, you'd seen his mouth for so long and despite that, your actions towards him didn't change. You still treated him like a human being.
"Why didn't you scream? isn't it horrifying to you? Don't you think I'm-!" He vented in confusion.
"Katakuri!" you yelled, hand gently resting on his leg. " Calm down!... Breathe..."
"And you keep telling me what to do! I don't get it! Everything I know and everything I've been told, you're tearing it down piece by piece!" He roared but you didn't move, you only looked at him in concern.
"I don't understand you..." he murmured in a voice that sounded almost defeated. His hands covered his face as he turned away from you.
At this point, you were slightly shocked. You expected a reaction from Katakuri, but you didn't expect to see such a wide range of pent up emotions burst from him. It made you feel bad and reminded you that there was much more to people than what they like to reveal on the surface. Katakuri was suffering on the inside. Just like everyone else.
"...Understanding me is almost as hard as finding the one piece, many have tried and so far none have succeeded" you gave a nervous chuckle in an attempt to ease the tension. "Besides, I think I made it clear before that appearance and title hold very little importance to me. They can change so easily, so there's no point getting hungover about it. When I talk to you I don't see Katakuri, powerful sweet commander, minister of flour, and the second son of the great and powerful Yonko Big Mom" you playfully mimicked his voice. "I just see Katakuri, that one cool guy who sat down, ate doughnuts with me, and talked" you patted his leg gently.
"I don't know what people may have said to you in the past about your mouth, but I think it's perfectly fine" you added.
Katakuri peered at you from behind his hand. He couldn't help it. a smile formed across his face and he slowly pulled down his scarf so you could see it.
"I can't believe you're jealous of me right now (y/n)" he chuckled as you looked at him in surprise.
"And have you seen those pearly whites!" you ranted "I know people who would kill for teeth as white as that! I'm so jea- What? No way! Katakuri are you reading my mind cause I know I didn't say that yet!?" You looked at him in slight horror, causing him to laugh more.
"You're more horrified at the fact I can predict your actions rather than the idea you've been bossing around a sweet commander all afternoon"
"OF COURSE I AM! YOU'VE BEEN READING MY ACTIONS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! WHAT IF I WANT TO HAVE A NORMAL CONVERSATION WITH YOU?" You hollered.
"You also hid the fact that you'd seen my mouth (Y/n), you're contradicting yourself" Katakuri coolly reminded.
"BUT THIS IS PERSONAL!" you cried. "I hope you're ready for the lecture of a lifetime Katakuri" you fumed whilst Katakuri snickered at your attempts to seem intimidating.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was morning now. You woke up in the arms of Katakuri who was still asleep. From what you could remember. You had given him a lecture but fell asleep in the middle of it from exhaustion, though you were definitely on the ground when it happened.
'Katakuri must have placed me in his arms last minute and fallen asleep' you surmised.
You still had a lot of time before the bakery but for Katakuri's sake, you squirmed out of his grasp, climbed up to his shoulder, and adjusted his scarf to cover his mouth, in case anyone passed by. You had a feeling that Katakuri wasn't comfortable with just anybody seeing him without his scarf. It was a real shame, to be honest. Being the person you were, you couldn't just waste this opportunity that fate had so kindly placed before you.
'A very handsome shirtless man is sleeping soundly right in front of me. It is very clear what I must do...' Carefully you reached up from his shoulder and ever so gently stroked his hair.
'If I was shot right now, I would die happy' you internally cried as your hands roamed his soft magenta locks, playing with random strands between your hands. His hair was worth dying for.
Unfortunately, good things can't last forever as someone entered the bakery from the back door. You immediately ripped your hands from Katakuri's hair and climbed down to address your intruder.
"Hello! Dear, brother! Are you here?" An unfamiliar voice called. "I'm sure he was meant to be here for the baker..."
"If you're looking for Katakuri, he's asleep around the front side of the shop" You informed as you walked up to the woman.
Now if Liam, Ian, and Isaac saw this woman they would've screamed witch and ran out of the building. She had purple pointy hair a long nose and a scar that ran down the middle of her face. Of course, that didn't unsettle you, what made you unsettled was when she bent down too close for comfort. A sinister smirk made its way across her face.
"Well aren't you a sweet little thing" She spat. "I wonder if my brother will mind if I get to play with you before he wakes-" she leaned down to grab you but halted when she heard a voice.
"Leave her alone Brulee" A deep voice rumbled.
"K-Katakuri... You're" Brulee stammered
"Are you ok (Y/n)?" Katakuri asked in concern, completely cutting off Brulee.
"I'm fine" you smiled at him. "Sleep well?"
"Y-yes I did, thank you" He blushed and looked away.
"Big brother! Did you just-!?" Brulee screeched in horror.
"Brulee I have a job for you" Katakuri cut her off again.
"Y-Yes of course! What do you need Katakuri!?" Brulee eagerly jumped at the chance to assist her dear brother.
"Create a mirror big enough to wall the side of the bakery"
"What?!" Both you and Brulee gave questionable looks.
"Why would she do that?!" You screeched at Katakuri.
"Yes, why would I do that brother!?" Brulee asked.
"You said that the only reason you wouldn't bake for us is that our name attracts too much attention, but if our interactions were secret you would be ok. Brulee has the power to make mirrors and travel through them. If you used this to transport your baked goods directly to us wouldn't that work out perfectly for you" He explained. "I won't force you to put up our flag on this island or in the shop, so you can still sell without any suspicion. All we need is your agreement."
"Brother that wasn't what Mama wanted. The little baker needs to come back with us. She'll be livid if you don't-!"
"I will deal with Mama myself" He looked glanced at Brulee and then kneeled in front of you, shocking his sister out of her mind. "I will not force you to make this decision, but I enjoyed your baking more than I ever have in years. It would be an honor to have you work with us."
"... and you're positive that you can keep me and our connections a secret?" You queried.
"Unless you say otherwise..." Katakuri nodded.
You smiled and outstretched your hand.
"I hope you'll look after me while we work together Kata" You beamed.
Katakuri flushed from his new nickname but coughed in an attempt to hide it. He then took your hand pulled down his scarf and gave it a gentle kiss. Your face exploded from the unpredicted display of affection, which made Katakuri smile as he pulled his scarf back up. The entire time Brulee stared at her brother completely speechless.
"B-Brother! Y-You exposed y-your-!" she gasped.
"You have work to do Brulee. Make the mirrors along the wall and let's go" He strolled back to the front of the store to sit back down leaving Brulee dumbfounded.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
You managed to make a quick design for the mirrors and where you wanted them, allowing Brulee to get right to work. For some reason, she didn't seem to like you, but you paid no mind to it. The mirror-lined part of the sidewall and was rimmed with golden butterflies, which was meant to be a sign of freedom. You didn't have it line the full wall in case any perverts tried to use it to their advantage. As soon as the mirror was done, it was time to say goodbye.
"I'm sure we're gonna see each other cutie. When that happens we can have some fun" she smirked creepily and you could only laugh nervously and wave as she entered the mirror.
'Yeah, I don't think she likes me much'
"I apologize for my sister, she's been through a lot" Katakuri stated.
"It's fine. I'm sure we'll find some way to get along" you continued to laugh nervously. "Oh yeah! I almost forgot"
You dashed around the counter into the storage area and pushed out two large baskets full of smaller doughnuts. "This is for you and maybe your siblings if you want to share. It's not much but they're still good. I made them from the leftover dough of last night's batch."
"Do you know how many siblings I have?" Katakuri asked.
"I don't know, 4 maybe 5"
"84"
*Choking on air noises*
"What!?" You coughed and looked to Katakuri for confirmation, only to see he was deadly serious. "Wow... Your mum needs an award" you breathed. "I guess I didn't bake enough then" you chuckled nervously.
"I wouldn't have shared anyway" Katakuri stated as he grabbed the two baskets and headed towards the mirror. "Thank you (Y/n)... For everything"
"You're more than welcome Kata" you beamed as you watched Katakuri go rigid with his new nickname.
He nodded and was about to step into the mirror when he stopped abruptly.
"Kata!" you grinned "Remember to smile, it suits you!"

Getting reborn as an Orc
MC gets reborn as an orc. He is going to grow in strength, going to gather his followers build up his clan then crash, slaughter, and humiliate the humans, elves, dwarves, and such. This is a kingdom building story with litrpg elements. Litrpg works well when we talk about single character focused story. But in my story MC eventually going to lead his troops against other people. So I invented something called the tier system. It is similar to the grading system other game light story's use but with much more clear and understandable rules, also uses a very simplified stats system. When you hear someone's tier you could easily understand what to expect. MC is a crafty guy, he usually uses tricks and shady tactics instead of brute force to achieve his goals. He gets ailed with unsavory humans to reaching his aims. So MC going to have a lot of dealings with society's criminal underbelly. I warn you, my English is miserably bad. If you seeking a kingdom building story with a crafty villainous lead who outsmarts his enemies you are in the right place. If you seek something written by someone competent in English please pass this story and please just don't write a review.
