I've decided to make the next few chapters of my stories shorter just so that you guys can have more consistent updates rather than waiting ages for a longer chapter :)

"The... concave shape allows greater surface area and so...." Issac scratched the back of his head with his pencil.
"And what does that mean?" Law prompted as he turned the next page in your journal.
"So... so... so more Oxygen can be carried and diffusion can occur more efficiently and readily!" He recited.
Law glanced up from the book and eyed him. He was currently reclined on the sofa in the conservatory legs overhanging the edge as he held up his book to read. Dressed in his shirt and jeans he found that this was now his new favourite place to relax. That was until Isaac arrived and started to do his work on the small coffee table right next to him.
"And how is the oxygen carried?"
"It... It... It attaches to the haemoglobin structure which can carry 4 oxygen molecules within the red blood cell!" He beamed.
Law paused then smirked only causing the boy to light up more before scribbling furiously at his worksheets.
"Guess you're not as runty as I thought" he teased
"HEY!" Isaac fumed only making Law's smirk widen before he returned to his book.
"KYAAAAAAA!!!" You screamed. "WHY IS IT MOVING!?"
Isaac jumped at your sudden outburst as Law let out a sigh and readjusted himself to sit up properly. The sound of your footsteps thundering to their position acted as a ticking timer before the door flew open to reveal a very unsettled/dishevelled (Y/n).
"LAW! Why are there dissected frogs scattered around my kitchen and dining room!?" You screeched
"Isn't that what you asked me to do?" He calmly replied.
"I asked you to help Isaac with his homework!" You wheezed still struggling to catch your breath. "Not bring corpses into my house and scatter them like... like... like some cult ritual!"
"Technically they're not corpses, they're still alive just dissected. I was going to release them back into the wild as soon as the little runt had finished" he explained, resting his hand under his chin. "I left them on the table but I guess they still had enough energy to try and make an escape"
'I just want one... just one sane individual that won't make me feel crazy... that's all I need... just one' you internally broke down.
"Oh (Y/n)! It was so cool! You should've seen them" Issac gushed.
"Is that so?" You managed "well I guess they're not in pain... can you please just sort it out Law"

"What do I get in return?" He playfully remarked, his eyes twinkling with a suggestive spark
"How about a peaceful day, knowing that I won't hide bread in every meal you have" you deadpanned.
He let out a small huff of annoyance as he forced himself up off of the sofa.
"What a pain..." Law grumbled causing Issac to snicker.
"Issac, you help him too" you added before leaving the room
"Aww! No way!" He groaned which made Law smirk.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's been a couple of days since Alivia left and in that short time, you've been under strict house arrest. Law decided that he would leave when he's diagnosed you as fit for work again, but until then, he's been quite happy to watch you suffer (he also took the opportunity to show Sachi and Penguin some mercy, and give them a break). You couldn't do any housework, real work or even shopping, and it was driving you mad. Unfortunately, Law wasn't prepared for your unpredictable decisions during the peak of your idleness. In your desperation to be useful, you offered to babysit since you couldn't leave the house, and knowing full well that Law and his crew were incapable of dealing with kids the task would obviously be left to you.
"We're back!" Sachi declared
Huffing and puffing filled the room as Sachi, Penguin and Bepo piled into the house, arms full of different fresh vegetables.
"Welcome back you guys" you greeted "How was it today?"
You held out your arms to assist with the heavy load but Law's crew knew better than to allow you to any manual labour that could be avoided, especially when you were supposed to be resting. As such, they reluctantly dodged your kind offer to help them.
"Just as you'd expect (Y/n)" Penguin sighed "Nobody here wants to help pirates, all of this is thanks to Ian and Liam"
At the mention of their names, the two boys came rushing in. Seen as how you'd been housebound you couldn't top up on your house supplies and it was a fact that most people wouldn't sell to pirates unless you were with them. So as of late, Ian and Liam have been assisting with shopping using their finely honed secret weapon - guilt-tripping - taught by yours truly.
'I'm so proud' you wiped the imaginary tears from your eyes.
"Have you finally finished your homework, Isaac!?" Ian yelled, "Let's go to the woods again today!"
A small cacophony of muffled noises could be heard from the conservatory which caused the older people in the room to sweatdrop. Eventually, Isaac flew out of the room with a wide grin on his face.

"I'm finished! Let's go!" He grinned, voice laced with giddiness.
"Ah! Wait! You guys still need to help with-!" you started
"(Y/n)? you wouldn't deprive the youth of enjoying the nature that is so rarely appreciated would you?" Liam batted his long lashes
"Not to mention allowing us to enjoy the fresh air at the peak of our age, you're not that kind of person are you?" Ian looked at you with sparkly eyes
"And we have finished all our homework" Isaac added innocently
'Oh no! They've become too powerful!' you winced 'What have I done?!'
"Oh... fine! But I want you back before-!" you conceded.
"BYE (Y/N)!" They announced in unison before slamming the door behind them.
*Slam*
You sighed and chuckled before straightening up and facing the others.
'They'll find their way back when they're hungry'
"Don't think I don't see you trying to start making dinner without me you three!"
The crew flinched after being caught red-handed.
"Sorry (Y/n)" Bepo apologised.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The day ended smoothly, like most days, leaving you and Law to lounge in the living room. The two of you were sat by the fireplace, Law at the edge of the sofa whilst you'd decided to stretch your legs over the rest of it.
'Why did you take up so much room (Y/n)? How selfish can you be?' your conscience remarked
'because it's my dang sofa and I paid for it!' you humphed in satisfaction
So as usual, everything was going smoothly.
"Congratulations (y/n)" Law spoke calmly as he turned the next page of the book
"you've fully recovered"

[A little bit extra]
"There are a lot of people for such a small island" Mihawk commented
Just hearing him speak made you jump out of your skin, as he had decided to remain quiet during his stay. Ace had passed out during the eating competition and Shanks was drunk silly so Mihawk graciously dragged them both by the collar to a quieter area of the festival so that they wouldn't cause a fuss or get in the way of everyone else's fun.
'I don't even dare to ask him to stop' you sweatdropped as you starred at your passed-out friends.
"It was a large number of ships holding us captive and transporting us" you explained "The experience showed us what really matters in life and brought us even closer together"
He hummed in response to your words. A sound that you could distinctly identify even amid all the chaos, though Mihawk wasn't exactly blending in. Even with his Kimono the large black sword on his back - which he'd also tied his hat to - put everyone he'd walked past on edge. Both his build and gaze was already intimidating enough, the sword was just extra. But rather than intimidation, you felt awe at the fact that he could quite literally display his pride as if challenging anyone to think otherwise. Of course you still didn't agree with violence but you could appreciate his achievements.
"THE LAST CHANCE TO WIN A FULL SET OF DIALS IS ABOUT TO CLOSE!"
Your ears instinctively perked up as the announcement registered in your head.
'Did they say what I think they said?'
"THAT'S RIGHT WIN THESE BRAND NEW DIALS!"
'He DID say what I thought he said!?'
Your eyes sparkled as you laid eyes on the said prize. Just as the announcer said, there were all different kinds of brand new dials coming in many different shapes and sizes.
'I could try different baking techniques with those' You were practically glowing.
"FIND A PARTNER AND SIGN UP BEFORE WE CLOSE"
"I need a partner?"
"...Then shall we sign up together?" Mihawk offered
"...Huh?"
'...Huh?'
"I've been meaning to get a new tone dial to record some pieces" he explained "this would benefit us both, and I'm sure if it's the two of us we will have a higher chance at winning"
"Wha..."
"FIVE MINUTES LEFT!"
"OK OK! LET'S GO!" you fumbled over your words as you raced to the sign the two of you up.
Mihawk took about three seconds to find a spot to dump the two bodies he'd been dragging before also joining you. The two of you took turns in writing your names, and yes, Mihawk did have nice neat cursive handwriting making your own look like chicken scratches.
'Just wonderful'
After signing up, you were directed towards the stage where the other contestants were awaiting their instructions. And between the partners, there was a pleasant mixture of people, mostly due to the vagueness of the actual event.
"It seems as though there are a lot of people who want these dials" you chuckled nervously
Mihawk was also eyeing the other competitors but he showed no visible concern
"So it seems, too bad they're all going to go home empty-handed" He stated
'WHAT CONFIDENCE!?'
"You're rather confident for an uptight scavenger" A familiar voice growled "Didn't think you'd be brave enough to take (Y/n) right from under my nose"
