《Welcome home - One Piece x Reader》(Y/n) x reader - Special?

----------------------------------------
After reading a few chapters of this Wattpad fanfic, you get a bit too engrossed and are physically sucked into this story. You wake to the taste of salt and damp clothes as you've evidently washed up on a beach in the middle of nowhere.
Luckily, a local fisherman has found you and taken it upon himself to bring you to the town centre so that you can get treated and plan your next course of action. After a long debate among the island residents, a very familiar individual volunteers to take you in until you acquire your bearings.
It's been a few days since your arrival and your realisation that you're now residing in the crazy world of one piece. Finding information a little overwhelming you've unconsciously holed up in your room, so (Y/n), being the person she is, has chosen to check up on you.
——————————————————————-
There was a faint knocking on your bedroom door. Accepting your silence as an invitation (Y/n) experimentally poked her head through the door. When no projectiles were launched in her direction, she deemed it safe to come in with a tray bearing two hot beverages and snacks.
(Y/n) was in a simple olive dress with a white apron wrapped around her waist. Her (h/l) (h/c) was down and sitting on her head was a flower crown, woven together with blue and white flowers. At its centre sat the origami flower, which hardly required explanation.
(Y/n)'s face lit up as she spotted you sitting on the small rug by the side of your bed facing the window, and you could tell she was mentally preparing herself.
'Don't worry (Y/n), you brought peace offerings' she thought, and it was clearly written all over her face.
Sitting down beside you she carefully placed a hot drink in front of you. The dessert snacks were also tempting, but after a day like today, there was too much on your mind to eat.

"You should eat something" (Y/n) encouraged.
In response, you childishly shifted your head away from the platter. There was no intentional malice behind your non-compliance, rather, you just wanted to brood a bit more, but according to (Y/n), this was the wrong answer. Almost instantly you felt a menacing aura exuding from the lovely individual behind you.
"You should eat something" (Y/n) repeated.
Like the first time, this was encouragement, but unlike the first time it was not exactly a suggestion. Her sweet yet sinister smile made that as clear as day. You didn't hesitate in snatching up the smallest item on the tray and having a quick nibble. The light and crispy taste danced across your tastebuds as your tongue savoured the sweet fruity essence that filled your mouth.
As your eyes widened in surprise, (Y/n) glowed with pride as she sipped knowingly on her steaming hot drink. What had started out as a harmless nibble, soon became an insistent munching which evolved into a full-scale massacre for the sweet and savoury. Before you knew what was going on, your eyes blurred with tears as your emotions bubbled up to the surface. By the time you were able to control yourself, (Y/n) was already at your side bringing your head into the crook of her neck to cry on, soothingly rubbing your back.
The last of your sniffles eventually evaporated from the embarrassment of crying in front of (Y/n).
"In my experience" (Y/n) smiled "food solves practically everything" she explained as you eyed her cautiously.
Although it probably didn't look that way when you had two puffy red eyes and half a croissant in your mouth. She helped herself to the little leftovers and you both remained still in a safe and comforting silence.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" (Y/n) ventured

(Y/n) was met with silence once again, causing her to lose heart as she sighed. You a bit felt like a jerk because she was at least trying to help you with your problem.
"You know, when I was small..." (Y/n) paused, reflected, then corrected herself "Smaller"
You let a giggle slip and the moment (Y/n) caught it her eyes filled with hope and her face, with joy. She took it as permission to continue her little story.
"I was taken from my home, I was so lost and I was all alone. But I made a promise to my friends, and that gave me hope every single day" (Y/n) removed the origami flower from her hair and placed it on your lap. "This was my promise, and it means that I'm never alone"
For someone who already knew (Y/n), you were surprised about how open she was with you. She smiled at you before taking off a petal and placing it in your palm. Carefully she clasped your fist around it.
"Washing up on an island, being away from your home, being surrounded by unfamiliar people... I get it...But now, you're a part of my promise, and I'm going to look after you until the day you are ready to go back home...I just want you to know, I'm here for you" (Y/n) gently rubbed circles as she held your hand. "Let's fight together"
To physically hear the words being said to you in person, brought you newfound determination and encouragement. It suddenly dawned on you how amazing (Y/n) was at saying what needed to be said. It was no wonder she was able to make grown men and women break down before her. Deciding that, that was enough deep talk for one night, you gawked in amazement as (Y/n) expertly packed up the tray, gave you a quick head pat and made her way to the door.
"Sleep well" she hummed.
But just before she shut the door, you blurted out the first thing that came to mind.
You scrambled about for words
She blinked.
Immediately you followed up with several excuses to explain why you needed help. Something about not knowing how to use the tone dial dryer, and not knowing what the trends are of this world. In short, it was a pathetic excuse and you regretted your entire existence.
But like a child being given candy, (Y/n)'s eyes sparkled with anticipation.
"Do you like flowers!?" She beamed

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

Star Gazer
When the mist rolls in, most would either head inside, or brave it's perils via familiar terrain. But what if that mist holds secrets beyond which most could comprehend, let alone traverse? Luke was a victim of the mist just as she was, and the pair had now begun a journey in a world home to only one of them from which a destiny was soon to be forged. ~~~~~ Star Gazer is high fantasy adventure set in a massive world within which our maturing duo of protagonists will be challenged to uncover truths few are aware are hidden at all. Elements of LitRPG are scattered within and function more as elements of certain character's abilities to read others, rather than a progression system by which our heroes will rely on. Updates will begin daily during premier week, but will slow down to 3 times weekly until further notice. Thank you for any and all support!
