I woke up to the familiar scent of bacon oil wafting in the air. I took off the grey comforter from my body, getting up and putting on a black hoodie over my tank top and plaid pajama pants. I walked upstairs to the main floor and kitchen, finding Shawn at the stove. I walked over to him and saw that he was struggling with cooking the bacon. "Good morning" He smiled at me, returning his concentration to the pan.
"Good morning. Need some help there?"
He timidly smiled at me. "Yes please. I tried making breakfast for you but I forgot that you were the one who knew how to cook"
I flipped the bacon over, allowing it to cook more on the other side. "It's the though that counts, right?"
"Right" He smiled, walking over to the cupboard next to the stove and took out two white mugs. "Want some coffee?"
"Mmm. Yes please" I placed the bacon on a platter as Shawn poured some coffee from the coffee maker into the mugs. I put the platter of bacon next to the plate of pancakes on the counter and sat down at one of the counter stools. "Did you make these pancakes?" I asked, pointing to the plate.
"I wish. I decided that it wouldn't be a good idea for me to try making pancakes" He sat down next to me, sliding the mug of coffee next to my plate. I thanked him and took a sip. "So" I spoke up. "Any plans for today?"
"Nope. Today is a day off. Yesterday was the last press day for the album"
"Speaking of album, may I listen to it?"
"Mmm. I don't know. It's kinda private"
"Oh. That's alright" I said, glumly, thinking that he was going to let me listen to it.
Shawn let out a soft chuckle. "I'm kidding, Alana. Of course you can listen"
After eating our breakfast and finishing our coffee, Shawn led me to his studio so that we can listen to his new album. We sat down on the brown couch at the right wall and he handed me a pair of black headphones to put on. I put them on while he put on his. "Ready?" He asked.
I gave him a thumbs up and he pressed play. Each song was its own emotional roller coaster; 16 songs in total. The perfect combination of upbeat songs and songs that made you want to cry. 16 songs and around an hour later, I was cuddled into Shawn's arms, blowing my nose into a tissue. I sat up, taking off the headphones as the last song finished.
"So" Shawn said. "What'd you think?" I looked up at him, tears blurring my vision.
"That was" I took a deep breathe. "By far your best album" I smiled at him. "Gosh that was beautiful. My heart can't handle it"

"I'm glad you liked it" He smiled back. The sound of the doorbell ringing caused us both to get up and go downstairs to see who it was. Shawn went up to the door and I sat at one of the counter stools at the kitchen which was next to the front door.
He opened the door and a petite girl with black hair was standing outside the door. I looked a little closer and realized that it was Camila Cabello. My heart dropped a little due to everything that has happened. She walked in, giving Shawn a hug. "Good morning fake boyfriend"
She pulled away from the hug then turned around. Her eyes landed on me and her expression immediately softened. "Oh my gosh" She walked over to me, spreading out her arms, and pulled me into a hug. She pulled away, taking my right hand and squeezed it between both of hers. "It's nice to meet you, Alana"
My voice took a second to escape my throat but I managed to say, "You too"
"So" She said slowly. "I see you and Shawnie have talked things through?"
I nodded my head, not being able to speak.
"So you know why?"
I nodded again, feeling something weird in the pit of my stomach. "I'm uh. I need to go to the bathroom. Please excuse me" I got up from the counter stool and walked over to the bathroom. I lifted the toilet seat and felt something go up my throat. I knelt down by the toilet as fluids escaped my mouth, regurgitating the breakfast I had just eaten. I grabbed some toilet paper and wiped my mouth with it, flushing the toilet.
I opened the door, hearing Camila and Shawn speaking in the living room. I left it open while I washed my hands, listening to their conversation.
"I'm sorry for coming, Shawn. I didn't know she was here"
"It's alright Mila" There was a bit of silence until Camila spoke up.
"I'm glad you resolved things with her. She seems like a great girl. I wish Matthew would figure things out or at least, let me talk to him. I don't care what the label thinks anymore, I hate that I hurt him"
"Alana's the best. Things are a bit rough right now but I'm hoping it'll get better. As for Matthew, you should talk to him. He doesn't deserve not knowing why you did it"
I thought to myself for a little bit. Camila had a boyfriend and she had to break his heart because the record label forced her too. I shouldn't blame her for what happened because she was going through the same thing with her relationship.
I walked out of the bathroom and into the living room where Shawn and Camila were sitting on the couch, talking about something. Once I entered the room, their conversation silenced and I sat down on the couch next to Shawn.

"Did I interrupt? I'm sorry. I can g-"
"No. It's fine" Camila said, sympathetically.
"Are you alright?" Shawn asked me.
"Yeah. I just felt something funny in my stomach. Nothing major"
"Oh. Alright" There was an awkward silence for a couple of minutes until I decided to speak up.
"So, Camila. How is everything?"
She looked at me surprisingly. "You want to know how I feel?"
"Yeah? Why not? I understand that things are pretty rocky with everything going on"
"Wow. Um. I'm fine. More concerned about my boyfriend. I don't even know if I should call him that"
"Well. I think you should tell him. I'm definitely glad that I know"
She looked from me to Shawn, sadly smiling to herself. "Gosh, Alana. You are such a good person. If I were to see the girl who kissed my boyfriend, I probably would have attacked her. Why are you being so kind to me?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "It's the situation, I guess. You were forced into doing it. No hard feelings" I gave her a kind smile. She stood up and walked over to me, outstretching her arms. I stood up, hugging her back.
"Thank you"
I softly giggled to myself. "Of course" We sat back down, Shawn looked at me smiling and mouthed "Thank you"
Camila reached her hand over to Shawn's, squeezing it. "She's a keeper. Don't ever let her go again, even if your career is at risk, at least tell her" He nodded his head in response.
She stood up from the couch, straightening her skirt. "Well, I have to go now. I'm going to try to talk to Matthew" Shawn and I both stood up, following her to the front door. Before she left, she turned around and said, "Thank you both for everything"
We smiled at her, thanking her as well, then closed the door. Shawn turned around to look at me. "That was really kind of you Alana"
I walked closer to him, grabbing his hands in mine. "I realized that her and her boyfriend must have been feeling the same way and I think the best thing would be to forgive and forget"
He smiled at me, shaking his head. "Gosh. I love you" His eyes widened. "I totally forgot. I'm sorry"
I smiled back, placing my hands on his cheeks. "There's nothing to be sorry about, love. I love you more"
Shawn's smile widened even more as he stared into my eyes. "What happened? I thought you needed time"
"It's been a good twelve hours, hasn't it?" I pressed my lips into his then pulled away. "I missed that. I missed you" I hugged his torso as he placed his chin on top of my head.
"What did I do to deserve you, Alana? Thank you for understanding. I'm sorry that I hurt you"
I looked up at him. "Hush. It's not your fault" He moved his head closer to mine, placing a soft kiss onto my nose.
"Can you go with me to my parents' house? Aaliyah hasn't talked to me since the pictures surfaced"
"Wait, really?"
"Yup. She was serious when she said that she would stop talking to me if anything were ever to happen to us"
I chuckled, nodding my head. "Of course I'll come with you" He took my hand and led me out of the door.
-------------
"Aaliyah?" Shawn said outside of Aaliyah's room, knocking on the door.
"I'm not opening the door Shawn"
"Wow" I whispered. "She was serious"
Shawn nodded, knocking on the door again. "I have a surprise for you"
"Nothing can ever make me open this door Shawn"
He looked over at me then said, "I need to introduce you to my girlfriend"
"OH! SO YOU BROUGHT A GIRL OVER. ALANA IS SUPERIOR, NO GIRL COULD EVER REPLACE HER"
"Sorry honey. Aaliyah is really attached to my ex-girlfriend, Alana. It'll take awhile for her to warm up to you"
"Oh. It's alright" I said, loud enough for her to hear me. "I guess I'll just go home"
I heard shuffling on the other side of the door and watched as Aaliyah opened it, her eyes widened in shock. She ran over to me, giving me a hug. "I can't believe you're here. What are you doing here?"
We then took the next ten minutes explaining everything to her. We were all sitting at the dining room table when I felt that same weird feeling in my stomach again. "Hey. Do you mind if I use your bathroom?" I asked.
"Yeah" Aaliyah pointed behind her. "It's right down the hall" I stood up from my chair, following Aaliyah's directions until I reached the end of the hallway and went into the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror, brushing my hair back from my face with my hands. Feeling something crawl up my throat, I kneeled down next to the toilet and let everything out.
I flushed the toilet, wiping my face with some paper towels, when I heard knocking on the door. "Alana, honey? Are you all right?"
"Yeah. I'm fine" I opened the door, smiling at Shawn.
He gave me a skeptical look. "Are you sure? I though I heard something"
"Um. Actually. I don't know. I've been, uh. Vomiting"
"Vomiting?" He raised his eyebrows, mostly stating the word.
"Mhm" I nodded my head.
"For how long?"
"It's happened quite a few times this week, usually after I've eaten something. Mainly breakfast"
"Usually in the morning?"
"Yeah" I said, realization hitting me.
"Do you think?" He paused for a second. "Are you?"
"Pregnant?" I finished his sentence.
