This is the story of a child. One who should be dead, as nothing survives them. But the child fled and was rescued, through an act that broke prophecies and shattered Truth. Even though it was only an extended arm. Now, after excaping true horror, she faces the challenge of the grim reality. She needs to adapt; to survive, but also simply to live. Even though she was never meant to. This a world of fantasy. Magic exists, marvelous creatures roam the lands. But in no way is this reality fantastical, magical, or forgiving. It is one ruled by the Imperatrix. It takes place in an Empire that was created on the ashes of the War. And as it is true everywhere, its rules are made by the powerful, the rich and the mindless masses. There are a lot of stories about people reborn into a fantasy world but most such individuals seem to be young, inexperienced and forced to start from the bottom up. But who attempts to summon a nobody, expending vast magical power to do so? What if there is an effort to summon a champion of the celestial host and strip them of their free will, binding them by their True Names only to be foiled as they vacate themselves to follow possession by another? What if the one summoned from something approximating our own world is a veteran in her thirties who now finds herself in a form alien, powerful, but far from invulnerable? It involves a whole lot of fire.

What Was Lost Outside Time
What happens to a mind, subjected to an infinite span of time? What remains, when it is taken out again? This is the story of an individual reborn after such time has passed that nothing remains of what it was; an individual who must learn once again what it is to be, beginning with awareness of the idea of awareness, and growing from there; from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to awareness of society, and on. This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.

Hotaru was a kid orphaned from the attack of bandits, which leads his village decimated with only him survives. the world still revolves though, saved by the ninjas from Konoha, his life started once again in that orphanage. cursing life, he wanders around lifelessly, giving up his will to stay alive and moping around while travelling within Konoha. there he met a kid smaller than him, scorned, bullied, even given scorn filled eyes towards him. he knows that the kid is hurt, but even so... he's still smiling and look at them in eyes. Seeing the struggle of Naruto, he silently clench his chest, feeling the pain which had no wound, and cries out loud while remembering his grandfather's words 'There's always a reason for something to happen' From then on, he started to look up, and get a better life. Being adopted, meeting his friends and teachers, also... an ability only he had... Never did he know that what lies in his future is a grim and dark... tragedy...
