《Whodunnit ?》Chapter 18 - The Final Drink

After the guests sat in their designated seats, Sophie & May wasted no time in serving the guests their dinner. Which was steak with marinated herb potatoes.
"This is a good steak," Dan commented as he dug into his steak.
"America's finest," Sophie replied back as she plated Michelle's dish next.
"Thank you." Michelle thanked the maid once she received her plate.
"So.," Natalie said in a surprisingly happy voice as she ate with her mouth open. "I think we've all done pretty well to get to final seven. So whatever happens tonight, I think that we should all raise our glasses to commemorate the others who can't join us tonight."
All guests raised their glasses. The killer hesitated at first, finding it pretty stupid to raise their glass. But ended up doing it anyway.
"Yeah. We've all done very well to get to this point." Nelson congratulated the remaining guests around him.
After a few moments of silent eating, Giles strolled into the dining room, carrying the several cards from the killer.
"I will now reveal who had the best case," Giles said as he tore into the first envelope.
"From the bottom to the top, Michelle congratulations you have the best case on how Greg was murdered."
Michelle gave a big smile once she heard her name called by the British butler, she'd always wanted to have the best statement and now she did.
"For the rest of you, I will now explain how Greg went up in pieces."
The guests all prepared themselves to hear out the most gruesome murder yet.
"Killing Greg was a blast..." Giles read out of the first line of the card, the guests all shook their head in disgust at the inconvenient pun.

"Seeing how Greg declared he would be staying in the library all night, I sent over a special delivery of tea and coffee (which was delivered by Sophie), along with the tea and coffee was a note. I wrote a note, pretending that all of us had planned an escape from Rue Manor, I even made it look genuine by leaving my own name on the note (which I later cut out). The notes instructions were to open the garage at some time between 2:45 AM and 3:00 AM with the keys I had attached to the note. Falling for it, Greg scattered to the garage in the early hours of the morning. However Little did he know, I was watching him. Climbing into my tunnel which was in a hidden passageway in the attic, I crawled to my secret lair which has a peeping hatch to the garage. Since I knew it was going to be pitch black, I made sure to bring my infrared binoculars to see Greg's body heat so I knew his whereabouts. I also made sure to have the right set of garage keys, so only I could open the garage door. Judging by Greg's hand moments while clicking on the fake garage opener, I opened the garage. However he didn't get far... using the 'ARKON APP' I made a pre-planned electrical route that the car would follow, I also made sure to put it to its maximum speed. Pressing 'start' the electrical car went zooming at 180mph towards Greg, the oncoming impact broke Greg's legs instantly. Greg hopelessly was pinned to the hood of the car as it twisted and turned around the Rue Manor garden. Just as the car approached the garden shed, Greg fell off. Leaving his head to get run over by a wheel, which killed him upon impact. The car, however, continued its journey towards the garden shed and upon collision with a small gas tank. The garden shed and the car went up in flames!. I'm sure you all can agree that this murder was an 'explosive' one. Sleep well, your killer."

"Wow." Jamie sighed as Giles finished reading out the note supplied by the killer.
Giles then followed the routine of passing out each card to each guest. He started with Dan then rotated around the table until the last card was given to Reynold.
"Brianna, you are first."
Brianna looked surprisingly nervous as she reached into her card, however, everyone knew she had nothing to worry about as she was
"Nelson?"
SPARED
"Dan?" Giles called the footballer next.
Dan didnt exactly want to open his card, he knew that his possibilitys of being scared were 2/3 and he definitely did not want to be scared.
Dan slowly pulled out his card and held a blank expression as he stared at it.
"What did you get?" Natalie asked as she tried to crane her neck in Dan's direction.
Dan slowly rotated his card around. He was
Michelle's mouth dropped. She had been having a strong feeling recently that Dan was the killer, so if he was killed next. She'd had to think of a new suspect.
"Reynold?"
SPARED
"Jamie you are next."
There was now a half chance that Jamie would be scared. The carpenter knew himself that being scared once was bad enough, and he had been scared twice. So being scared three times was something that he didn't want.
Jamie almost fainted when he pulled out his card, he was in fact
Natalie got a sinking feeling in her body as she realised that she was (for the first time)
Giles had to ask for Natalie to show her card just for clarity.
"So. It seems that either Mr. Greash or Miss Underwood will be the next killed. Please, rest well my guests." With that, Giles left the dining room.
There was a collective silence as the guests all rose to leave the table. After today and the constant rivalries, the teams respected each other a lot more than before. They all knew that they'd be sad to see either Dan or Natalie be dead by tomorrow. Except for the killer, he or she was jumping at the bit to get to the next murder as soon as possible.
Before Dan, Jamie & Natalie retired to their rooms, they all had a collective drink to celebrate their success as an alliance. Since once the next one of them goes, they would miss out on investigating one vital area, and therefore have not all the clues.
"Cheers to out final drink as a three." Jamie brought his glass high as Dan & Natalie collided their glasses with his.
Rue manor's guest size was slowly crippling.
