《Whodunnit ?》Chapter 22 - Accusations

Sophie collected Michelle first that night. She immediately let the twenty-six-year-old know that after she stated her case, that she was to report outside, by the pool. Where dinner would be served. Michelle gave a small nod before entering the library.
By the time that Reynold joined the dining table outside, the sun was setting. And the darkness was slowly starting to cascade across the mountains which surrounded the Manor. To his surprise also, Giles was actually sitting with the guests. While Sophie & May dished up their dinner; beef stroganoff with pasta (a weird combination in the doctor's opinion) He also felt uneasy how close the table was the pool, which they only found Natalie in this morning.
"Ah! Now that you are all here I can finally announce who had the best statement." Giles ripped open the first card on the table.
"Congratulations to Nelson! You are spared. You gave the best theory on how Natalie was killed by myself. For the rest of you, listen along as I take you through how I killed Miss Underwood. Step by step."
Nelson smirked widely when he heard his name. The charity worker was shocked himself that he had had the best case statement twice. Several guests were also pretty shocked that he was doing as well as he was.
Dan and Jamie looked around uncomfortably.
"Stalking Natalie's movements for the past few days, I knew the woman liked a drink before bed. Whether that be water or alcohol. In the middle of the night, Natalie crept down to the kitchen to pour herself a drink, little did she know that I was there. We engaged in conversation for a few minutes until she retired to her room, however when she wasn't looking during our conversation, I slipped in four Bliponal pills. The pills themselves are sleeping pills, however, when three or more are taken at one time, a bad side effect is major sleep walking. As Natalie sat and did her crossword on her bed, she slowly fell asleep, running her pen across the page as she fell into a deep sleep. After estimating when she'd fall asleep, I easily broke into Natalie's room and waited in her suite until she arose again. (This time when she was sleepwalking). When she did finally awake the next morning like a zombie, I guided her out of her room with the pen from the crossword as an almost knife. The pen jagged Natalie several times in the back which surprisingly left a few blood drops on the way out. Once outside of her room, I cut the wall next to Natalie's suit door, which lead into another eerie room. Making sure to have the correct position, I positioned Natalie in front of my shotgun (which had a silencer on) and with one swift push of a button, Natalie's brains were blown out. Killing her instantly. I then used the lift from Hannah's murder down to the kitchen, placed her in my wooden catapult, set a timer and then played along when we all discovered the body. Hope you all take a dip! Your killer."

Dan & Jamie both shook their heads, they knew that they would both be getting the scared cards. No question about it.
"Dan?" Giles called the footballers name first.
"Ok." The footballer's voice shook slightly as he reached for his card which had already been laid out. He was . "Shocker." He said sarcastically as he threw his card behind him into the pool, the card quickly sunk. Just like Natalie's body.
"Michelle?"
"Brianna?"
"Jamie?"
Jamie didn't waste any time and pulled out his card. He was now for the third time. "This sucks." Was all he said before he sulked slightly.
"Finally, Reynold please reveal your card."
Reynold looked at his card for a bit longer than expected before he showed his card. Which didn't shock anyone at the table.
"It seems that either Dan or Jamie will be the killers next victim."
"I can't believe this." Dan sighed before raising off his seat.
"Mr. Greash! The killer has ordered you all to stay at the dining table tonight." Giles quickly stopped the footballer in his tracks.
The guests all suspiciously turned to Giles.
"Why?" Brianna asked.
"All be be revealed Miss Doan." Giles said in a soft voice.
The six guests all looked at Giles suspiciously as he rose from his seat and lifted the cover which was over the barbecue. On the head of the barbecue, a small flat screen TV was off.
"How did that TV get there?" Jamie asked the group as he squinted at the far away screen.
Suddenly, the TV sprung into life. The guests couldn't see the image clearly but they could definitely distinguish the audio. It was Brianna's voice.
"...And then Natalie flew from the catapult, and with a big splash met the pool. Reynold, most of the time Ive been thinking the killer was Jamie but today Ive had an inkling you are the killer. You seem to get way to suspicious at times and I honestly don't know if I can trust you."
The group quickly realised that all their most recent case statements were about to be revealed. Brianna turned her head away from Reynold as he looked at the youngest guest in a look between shock and anger.

"...And then Natalie hit the water, a blow to the head on the bottom of the pool ultimately killed her. Michelle, I'm guessing you as the killer again. Ive guessed you every time, Ive known it since day one. You are a very sick person lady."
Most of the guests gasped at Dan's tough words for Michelle. Along with Michelle, who was slightly shocked that Dan had guessed her as the killer each round. Ironically, Michelle was next up.
"...And then Natalie's blood mixed with the water making the crime scene a literal blood bath. Dan, I don't think I even need to explain myself. I know you are the killer, Ive guessed every time and I know deep down I am right. You may think you're hunting me, but I'm actually hunting to."
Dan wasn't really surprised as he heard Michelle's case statement.
"...Then Natalie fell from the roof? I honestly don't know anything about how she died. Anyway, Nelson your little 'charity worker volunteer' ways won't fool me. I know you're the killer. Have fun slashing off your friends when I win this."
Nelson pulled a stunned face when he heard his name brought up as being the killer by Jamie.
"Alright then... wow." Nelson laughed slightly as he looked over at Jamie.
"Jamie I think you're the killer. Plain and simple you are way to quiet to not be the killer." Reynold was next.
Jamie shrugged it off, he knew that if someone in the other group was suspecting him, it would be Reynold. He just had a feeling.
"Umm Reynold. I'm starting to like you a lot but I think you're the killer. It makes working with you just that bit harder." Nelson was last.
Reynold scoffed. He really did not expect to get three killer accusations against him. Especially by two of his own team!
"With that guests. The killer has instructed me to call a night. Goodnight everybody. Sleep well, rest in piece." Giles said his last words very slowly before rising off the table and leaving the six guests in another stunned silence.
Reynold was the first guest to leave the table, he was disgusted that people that he was working with accused him of being the killer. It made him consider if he even choose the right team to be in an alliance with.
Michelle & Dan gave hateful looks towards each other before they left the dining table. Jamie left next.
This left Brianna, Nelson & Dan. The three watched the sun set and go down. They even stayed out till the dead of the night. The three of them unexpectedly bonded as a trio, which shocked them slightly.
Dan was the last to leave the table that night, as he strolled back into the Rue Manor mansion he prayed to everything he knew that he wouldn't be the next killed off. Even though that would mean Jamie would be killed off, Dan didn't care. Dan didn't want to die.
