《Whodunnit ?》Chapter 23 - The Final Five

The small drizzles of rain that Dan noticed as he left the dining table had now dramatically increased. Pure thunder and lightning was now almost shaking the Manor in its core. The loud crack of lightning was keeping pretty much every guest awake at this point.
Little did five of the six guests know however, the killer had just struck.
The next morning, Michelle was the only guest in the dining room for a while. That was until Reynold joined her.
"Morning." Michelle smiled as she dug into her banana that she grabbed from the fruit bowl in the great room.
"Morning. Well last night was definitely something wasn't it?" The doctor laughed slightly at the dramatic night before.
"Tell me about it." The redhead replied "I was shocked that you were accused that much. And by Brianna & Nelson as well! Like what the hell."
The doctor held his hands up in confusion. "I know. It's like we've been working with two people the whole time and they might have been accusing me of being the killer since the first day. It makes me question why we're working with them." Reynold definitely had his doubts as of why Nelson & Brianna would be working with him and Michelle if they really did think that he was the killer.
The atmosphere quickly became awkward as Nelson & Brianna strolled into the dining room, laughing about a joke that the Olympian brought up. The faces of the four alliance members quickly fell to a tense face.
"About last night..." Brianna started.
"It's fine." Reynold sighed as he looked at the two.
Nelson & Brianna knew that the doctor was lying. But they had to just try and act civil for the rest of the day. They didn't exactly know if Reynold would want to work with them anymore, but they had to wait and see.

"Can I talk to you? Outside?" Nelson asked the doctor.
"Fine." The doctor sighed again before going out the back doors of the dining room to the outside pool where Natalie's body was only discovered yesterday.
Nelson started thinking hard. He knew Reynold was a strong player, but he also had good knowledge on death. Even if he was the killer he wanted Reynold around because the killer wouldn't kill off his own team... would he?
"I know that you're mad that I accused you of being the killer. But you have to understand that we are at the final port-"
Reynold quickly cut off Nelson, shushing him.
"You hear that?"
Nelson furrowed his eyebrows. "No, what are you talking about.
Reynold could hear a very weird metallic sound from above him, he found it very strange. And then they both saw it.
It almost happened in slow motion for them, a lifeless body was falling from the roof. Neither Nelson or Reynold could figure out who it was however.
"Oh my god look out!" Nelson threw Reynold out the way of the falling body's target.
Reynold let out a loud shout just before the body hit the ground with a sickening 'thud'. The two watched in a stunned silence as blood circulated the very much dead body. There was even a few blood splatters on themselves.
Michelle & Brianna, hearing the noise from outside, ran outside to see what was going on. Upon seeing the dead body, both girls screamed on the top of their lungs.
"Who is t...that?" Michelle trembled her words as she tried to recognise the mangled body.
Nelson gingerly leaned over.
"It's Jamie." He slowly whispered as he covered his mouth in shock.
The sound of doors opening behind them made the four turn around. Just like yesterday with Natalie's body discovery, Dan & Giles arrived at almost the same time.
Dan surprisingly sobbed once he made eye contact with the body, he no longer had any alliance left whatsoever. Hannah, Courtney, Natalie & Jamie had all been killed off.
"And there were five..." Giles said in another cold voice as he stared at Jamie's motionless body.

The Granddaughter of Time
Teresa Hargrove was okay with giving up. She knew the Earth was doomed and there was nothing to be done about it. What she was not okay with was the Future, an enigmatic woman nearly fanatical in her devotion to making a difference, dragging her along — seemingly, to prove her wrong. It turns out though that the Future is very hard to understand. This story contains heavy themes, including mental illness, existential crisis and death. However, I still tried to eventually convey a message of hope. Several mythical and metaphorical beings in the shape of humans will appear in most chapters. However, they are not meant to be of a specific ethnicity or social background and are instead perceived differently by people around them. For your reading pleasure, feel free to imagine them any way you’d like, even if your imagination contradicts descriptions from the story. Enjoy!~
