《Whodunnit ?》Chapter 24 - Shot Through The Heart

Giles escorted the final five back into the parlor and instructed them to discuss which areas they would like to investigate. The four were reluctant to strategize at first but eventually decided on their areas as a group. Whereas Dan (for the first time) was left alone and had no one whatsoever to talk about what area he should go to. However, following his recent trend, Dan wanted to go to the last known whereabouts again.
Ten minutes later, Giles came back into the parlor.
"Who would like to examine the crime scene, the outdoor area?"
Nelson & Michelle rose their hands. They both followed May outdoors.
"Who would like to examine Jamie's last known whereabouts? The kitchen ?"
Dan only rose his hand at first. Brianna originally wanted to go to Morgue, but seeing how Dan would have vital information for himself she rose her hand last minute to join Dan. They both followed Sophie.
"Reynold, please follow me to the Morgue."

"You'd think there'd be more blood if he hit the floor at that height," Nelson mentioned to Michelle as they started investigating the crime scene.
"I was thinking that too. I thought there'd be a ton of blood." Michelle said in a confused voice as she squatted towards the small pool of blood.
The two alliance members were definitely confused, to say the least. They did think that with the impact of the fall, Jamie would have left behind enough blood which would have killed him. What this told Nelson & Michelle, however, was that this meant Jamie couldn't have died from the fall. It was very unlikely in their opinion that he would have died from the roof fall.
"So he obviously fell from the roof dead," Nelson concluded.
"Yeah, that's what the crime scene here would suggest." Michelle shrugged.
Nelson scratched his head. "There has to be more here though. It can't just be a blood spot on it's own. It's too hard to work anything out!"
Michelle tried to work things out logically "Well if you feel the blood like I just did you'll see that it is fucking freezing." The redhead shivered after she accidentally brushed her finger along Jamie's blood spot on the patio.
Nelson tentatively dipped his pinky into the blood spot, he was pretty shocked to feel that the blood gave off a chilling temperature. If it wasn't for the heat of the summer day, the two predicated the blood spot could have potentially turned to a solid in a matter of minutes.

"I feel like we're missing so much here though still." Nelson was visibly getting upset over the lack of information at the crime scene.
Michelle stayed quiet, she knew that not sharing any thing else would only benefit her in the long run with so many people already dead. She had theories, but she wasn't planing on telling the charity worker about them at all. The two finally searched in silence for the last five minutes, Nelson searched every part of the garden and found absolutely nothing which related to Jamie's murder. Whereas Michelle looked a little less hard, she knew that Reynold would have power being the only person at the morgue.
Dan & Brianna both had to stop in their tracks the minute they entered the kitchen. There was blood (Jamie's blood) absolutely everywhere in the kitchen.
"Oh my god." Brianna whispered in a voice which Dan read as complete horror.
Out of all the last known whereabouts that Dan & Brianna had been too, this had really been the most bloody. They weren't even expecting blood at the last known whereabouts, this told the two of them that Jamie must have obviously not lost a lot of blood from the fall. And that therefore didn't end up killing him.
"The most blood is at the fridge." Dan pointed out towards the once metal fridge, the once clean fridge was now completely covered in red.
Brianna took charge and slowly creeped the fridge open. Surprisingly, there was not a lot of blood whatsoever actually inside the fridge.
"Oh." Brianna said in a surprised voice.
"If there was so much blood on the door of the fridge then why isn't there hardly any inside?" Dan said out loud as he started taking out the contents of the fridge onto one of the nearby kitchen counters.
Brianna closely observed the food on the counter "I don't know. Maybe he was just attacked from behind and the blood just sprayed everywhere?"
The two most athletic guests left in Rue Manor then started observing the blood around the kitchen, the two of them were really looking out for anything which was peculiar about the carpenters blood. Maybe it was a weird colour? Maybe it smelt weird? But alas, there was nothing about Jamie's blood which directed Brianna & Dan to a clue.

"Theres got to be something we're missing. A trigger for something maybe? Because he was obviously killed in this room." Dan started looking in the kitchen cupboards, knowing there was more clues then seemed to the eye on Courtney's murder.
Dan went back to the fridge and started looking at the plug adaptors, looking for a possible charring mark if something could have short circuited the fridge. The kickboxer came up from behind him, not wanting him to find any possible clues without her knowing about it.
However once she stepped on the place mat at the foot of the fridge, the left fridge door quickly whipped open. Which hit Brianna square on in the face.
"Ow!" Brianna whined as she pinched her nose.
"What happened?" Dan asked as he came up from behind the fridge.
Brianna hissed in pain as she took her hands off her nose. "I stepped on that place mat and the fridge door opened right on my face!"
Dan picked up the place mat and flipped it over, on the backside of the brown mat there was some sort of electrical system. With wires and insulators showing.
"That must have sent a signal to the fridge door to open." Dan smiled, knowing he had a pretty important clue.
Brianna agreed just before the bell rang. Meaning time was up and they had to leave the last known whereabouts.
Reynold wasted no time when he entered the morgue. He knew that he needed to search fast, and with his extensive knowledge about the human body. He knew it wouldn't take him to long to identity a cause of death.
Reynold started by noticing that Jamie was wearing very weird cloths, they had a checkered pattern which didn't look like anything the carpenter had actually worn before on the Rue Manor stay. But then he cast his mind back to Greg's murder, he remembered seeing Jamie scurry out of his room with the checkered pyjamas on. This told the doctor that Jamie was either killed the night before or very early that morning.
The doctor then proceeded to unbutton the already ripped pyjama shirt. He noticed immediately what looked like (to him) the cause of death. There was a very clean and sharp hole in Jamie's chest which resembled the size of the stand size of a lamp. He also noticed that from peering into the wound with a torch, he could see that whatever caused the wound had pierced the left side of the former guests heart. From being a doctor for almost six years, Reynold knew that any type of pierce or injury to the heart would most likely result in almost immediate death.
Just when he thought he was ready to move on from the chest wound, the noticed a few tiny pieces of metal which intrigued him. The doctor quickly scattered over the side table away from the body and picked up the tweezers. With ease, the doctor pulled out the tiny pieces of metal which were laying in Jamie's chest wound.
Reynold observed the metal very closely, it was vey tough metal even in its tiny pieces. Reynold had struggles trying to identify what type of metal it was, and where it even came from. And most importantly... how it caused Jamie's death.
However something which confused Reynold was that Jamie was abnormally cold, the slightest touch of the carpenter sent chills down the doctors spine. Almost as if Jamie's body temperatures were at below zero.
The familiar sound of Rue Manor bell made Reynold jump out of his sockets. Time was up for his investigating.
-
"Welcome back everybody. You have forty minutes to discuss what you found at your areas before the riddle will begin. Good luck." Giles (as of always) left the parlour and let the final five strategise.
Dan surprisingly went upstairs to the first floor of the Manor and went into his room. He knew there as no purpose in asking for information from Nelson, Michelle & Reynold as they for sure wouldn't share anything with him. The footballer jotted down information and theories on his notepad.
Meanwhile downstairs, the once unstoppable alliance was well and truly tarnished. There was now two groups. The two pairs (after the most recent accusations) only now trusted their partners now.
It was Michelle & Reynold Vs Nelson & Brianna.
