《Whodunnit ?》Chapter 31 - The Final Dinner
Advertisement
The tension at the last dinner was obvious. Michelle & Reynold and Nelson & Brianna were seated at opposites sides of the table. They all desperately wanted to make it out of the Manor alive, and since they thought the killer was on the opposite side of the table to them, they definitely didn't want to sit with them.
It was deadly quiet in the dining room until Nelson quietly peeped up. "Well, I think we should all congratulate ourselves for making it this far." The charity worker raised his glass of wine, keen to collide the glass with another.
Brianna raised her glass, and eventually (after a few glances) the other two guests did too.
"We shouldn't really be congratulating the killer though, they haven't actually form anything to get to this point. Except for kill." Reynold knew that he was talking the truth about the killer. And he knew that the two other innocent guests (who he assumed was Michelle & Brianna) would agree with him deep down.
"That's a bit ironic coming from you, Reynold." Brianna was slightly tipsy at this point from all the wine she had drunk.
"What do you mean by that?" Reynold raised an eyebrow at the Olympian.
Brianna giggled "Well, you're the killer. It's been obvious since the beginning. First of all, you've never been scared and you've won so many riddles."
Reynold thought it was a bit rich that Brianna was bringing those topics up when she herself had never been scared. And had only won one case statement less than him.
"Well, I think it's no surprise that I think Nelson is the killer." Reynold finally revealed his suspicion of Nelson being the killer to the remaining guests.
"...I mean you claim you weren't really educated, yet you know things about murder and poison, you've won as many case statements as me and you've played both sides." Reynold argued his points for Nelson being the killer.

Nelson hoped that the topic of playing both sides wouldn't be brought up. He knew he was a pretty bad liar, and since he knew he did play the other side of the manor at one point, he'd have to try and defend himself somehow.
"I just had to do it. Otherwise, I could have been scared, that's all. It's not like I actually wanted to play with that side."
"Sure," Michelle said sarcastically.
Before anybody else could defend themselves as to why they aren't the killer, Giles strolled into the dining room. Carrying the cards which were supplied at every dinner beforehand just like usual.
"My dear guests...It seems that for the final time, one of you have impressed the killer with your version of events of how Mr. Greash was killed..."
All of the guests sat in a tense silence. They all wanted their name to be called desperately, it was their only chance of confirmation that they would definitely be in the final three.
"Reynold!"
"YES!" Reynold almost jumped out of his seat once he heard his name called by the butler. This meant that he was in the final and had a chance of escaping the Manor alive.
"Congratulations" Michelle gave her alliance member a warming smile.
"Now for the rest of you, sit back, relax and hear how our talented guest got the boot."
"It didn't take a genius to know that Dan worked out during his stay at Rue Manor. So with that in mind, I set my trap. Online, I ordered a bulky and large vehicle. It traveled all the way from Arizona. Once it arrived at the Rue Manor gates and started to drive up the driveway, I attacked. I easily opened the drivers' side door and pulled him out of the vehicle, I quickly slashed his throat and planted him in one of the bushes next to the Rue Manor gates. Once I climbed inside the vehicle I pre-planned the route with A.R.K.O.N (again), I then went back inside the manor to retrieve the bear trap and placed it in the path where Dan would start his workout. After I made sure to cover the bear trap I set the pre-planned route off and the car traveled to the garage. The next morning, Dan got dressed into his sports gear and started his workout at the front of the manor. However, once he turned into the side path, he stepped dead on into the bear trap. Which before was layered with clementine juice, from oranges. The fruit which Dan was highly allergic to. Upon impact, his body bloated fatally. His throat bloated to the point where his larynx exploded, therefore explaining how Dan couldn't scream and/or alert people of his situation. After being left for twenty minutes, an inflammation of the brain ultimately killed Dan. So when the car was set off again and was pre-planned to the side path, it was only running over Dan's dead body. After about an hour, I then emerged. Picking up Dan's dead body I carried him over to the designated spot, where the bucket of Honey was suspended on one of the orange trees. With a simple pull of a string, the bucket tipped and gallons of honey collided with Dan's body. Attracting the thousands of bees and wasps surrounding the trees and stinging the already dead Dan. Buzz buzz... your killer."

Brianna & Nelson knew hardly any of what Giles said. So they knew they were going to be scared. 100%
"Nelson. Please open your card."
Nelson took a deep breath before opening his card. was written across the card in big letters.
"Brianna?"
Michelle pulled a massive smile the minute Brianna revealed her card. This meant that she was not going to be scared. The wannabee actress didn't waste time opening her card and wasn't surprised when the card read
"It would seem that in our final dinner... Mr. Grey & Miss Doan are the scared guests. Now, guests, I have to warn you. Tomorrow will not be like any other day at your stay here. By the end of the day, two of you sitting here will be dead and one of you will leave with your life intact and win the game. I also forgot to mention, in spite of you all working so hard in this game. The killer will award the winner with a prize of $250,000."
All of the guests gasped at the surprising reveal. They were now excited to have another thing to look forward to at the end. The money would definitely be a nice prize to claim after such a traumatic experience. However, they knew deep down that no amount of money could block the memories of the game.
Giles walked out of the dining room. And the final four started to leave to return to their suites. However, once they reached the doorway, Giles re-appeared.
"Just to remind you. You will not win by having the best case statement on how the deceased was murdered, in fact, you won't investigate the death at all. Goodnight guests."
"Interesting," Michelle said.
The four guests all walked in silence as they scaled the staircase. They all knew this was going to be their last night, whether they made it out alive or not.

Magriculture (Rewrite)
When Aurum Industries announced the first Full Immersion Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (FIVRMMORPG if you're hip) Limitless Online, most people saw it as an opportunity to live out their sword and sorcery fantasies. John, however, saw it as the opening of a new and as of yet uncrowded job market. One he was willing, and eager, to exploit. Determined to make money through virtual hard work and effort, John sets his sights not on the heights of magic or the perfection of the sword, but instead upon the tilling of the soil and the sowing of seeds as he explores the wide and wonderful world of magical agriculture all from the comfort of his own bed. Disclaimer: This is a rewrite of the original "Magriculture", which some of you may have read. (To those who did, you have my deepest gratitude, it is absolutely because of your patronage and comments that this rewrite happened, and I feel the story is better for it.) That said, this story is not a complete and polished work, there will be mistakes and errors, an occasionally these errors may mean I need to rewrite portions of the story (as of this posting the story has gone through two major rewrites already, and I'm seriously hoping there won't be need of a third.) Because of this, there may at times be changes. Such changes may be as small as editing a few numbers (such as going back and changing how much mana an object holds) or it may force me to re-write entire chapters (this has happened once already, and I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again, but... life). Minor re-writes will probably never be posted here. Major rewrites probably will. Anyway, what this boils down to is: If you're looking for a fully cohesive story with few to no errors and publisher level editing, this is not the story for you. If you're looking for a cohesive plot that's more than "Man farms, man farms, man farms well, man maybe makes money" you're probably also in the wrong place, but I will attempt to entertain you anyway.

A Forgotten Hero
(author: This is gonna be a long synopsis I apologise. This should be a prolouge but as you will see I have a seperate prolouge, please forgive me. This fiction as a warning beforehand is as basic as it comes, prettymuch following all story conventions of both the mecha and school life genres. I am mostly writing this to figure out my writing style before I begin something truly creative and uique. I dont wanna ruin something I worked hard on by being illiterate. Also illustrations are at a minimum because all I have access to is MS paint.) In the year 2028 humanity (accidentally) created the means to travel great distances through space in a short period of time. This has led humanity down the road of great technological advancement and also led to the spread of humanity across their home system and just begiining first steps upon other solar systems planets. In the year 2033 the human colonies in space broke from the chains of their old countries creating hyper advanced societies disregarding nationality and any other defining factor. Two space societies formed the Solar Empire a monarchic society with its capitol on the moon Titan which controeld the entire human home system aside from Earth which still remained divided into seperate contries. The other was the Extra-solar Leauge. A mysterious society outside of easy contact range with any other humans besides themselves. To help with construction and other work outside of sealed and breatheable atmospheres of their cities and ships the Solar Empire and Extra-Solar Leauge created what became known as Advanced Movement Shells(AMS). These machines are best described as huge exoskeletons or "mechs", and they aided greatly in getting things done by increasing strength, durability, and the amount of tools able to be used. They also aided in quelling rebellions among extremist groups forming in these new societies. Finally in the year 2050 the Solar Empire having divinated their emperor, and now beliving themselves to be their religions chosen people, the Solar Empire declared a holy war of conquest against all the nations of Earth in order to conquer it under the idea that all humanity was required to bend to their divine emperors rule. The first month of the war whent badly for earth as the divided nations fell one by one due to the Empires superior weaponry among other technologies which made their forces nearly invincible. The AMS were used to great effect due to their almost "magical" level of technological advancement. Some nations able to put up some kind of defense created their own versions of these technological terrors. From there the war became a brutal stalemate and suddenly was won by the forces of earth. Why this is still hasn't come to the light of the common man, but one thing is for certain it took a heroic effort from one, or many people to win it for humanity...

With the promise to take Kasumi under his wing and reshape her into a fine young lady, the principal agrees to postpone her expulsion, and Kasumi is grateful. But what Kasumi didn't know and was shocked to figure out is that when Shuuhei said he and the Student Council would be 'reshaping' her, he meant it in a way where she would become their 'dog' and treat them like her masters. The Student Council wasn't the group of perfectionists they led everyone on to be.And they were very, very fond of S&M relationships.***The full story is available on the Tapas app/site under my username @Mistyped_ and the same title.
