《The Gifted Seer (Bk 1 of Seer Series) (Completed)》Chapter 13 (Edited)

"So, you don't have anybody to love you, huh?" I asked, looking at the big, black dog that was beside my old bike.
He wagged his tail and frowned, as if he said that he didn't. He stayed seated, looking at me. His fur fell in his eyes, and since I was this close up to him, I could tell why the person said that he looked like a miniature bear. He was a huge dog, and it looked like that he could grow bigger. He had this strong and powerful jaw. He also had floppy ears, that were pricked up. I was sure that his teeth were huge also. And his paws, they were about the same size as my hand. The dog was also had very thick curly hair all over his body.
I sighed and looked around us, making sure that we were alone. The Sun was starting to set, and my adrenaline was spiking up, as I was tensing. I didn't need to be out in the dark. I knew the magic word for 'Fire', but I didn't know how much I could take out.
Time to get home, Joes. You don't want them to find you, said Voice.
"Well, I don't know where you live, but if you want, then you can come with me," I said, as I unhooked my bike from where someone had hooked it up to a tree. I unclipped my helmet and placed it on my head, looking at the dog. I raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to do something.
He stood up and started to bark, loudly. He wagged his tail, agreeing that he wanted to go home with me. His sounded like a powerful something, because of his size. It made me wonder how much bigger he was going to be.

"Shhhhhh, pipe down, will ya? You'll get me into trouble." I tensed and glanced around, wondering if anyone had heard. "'Sides, you have a loud bark that can carry. People could hear it from miles away."
He stopped barking, but he kept wagging his tail and grinning that doggie grin. He sat down, waiting for me to get ready.
Why can't I understand him? I thought, frowning. I think that he was supposed to be my Guide, but then if he was, then why couldn't I.
Because, Lasi did something so you can't, Voice said.
Shut up!
I was just trying to help, Voice muttered, and if it had eyes, then I knew it would be rolling them at me.
I heaved an impatient sigh, before I got onto my bike. "Well, come on then. Let's go home," I said, pushing off the ground. I started to move off towards my house, knowing that the dog would follow me.
And like I had thought, the dog followed me home. He was wagging his tail, probably happy that he was going somewhere that was warm with lots of food.
Again, I couldn't help but think that he was my Guide. I didn't know how I knew that, but I knew that he was supposed to be in my life. The good thing was, I did need him in my life. I just hoped he would be able to protect me when the time came.
The dog rubbed against me, probably knowing what I was thinking. He looked up me with his deep brown eyes, and I saw that he would protect me with his life. I was glad about that, because I knew that I could trust him.

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.

The Rowan Fox, Tail 1: The Missing Children
Deep in the Maple Woods sits a mountain of old. Humans have claimed it and today a city called Redlog covers it from peak to foot. Meet Josei, one of many medicine makers living in the city of red roofs. Hers is the start of many tales, home to a very special fox. Like foxes often do, this one finds himself plenty of trouble. (Thought I would be gone forever did you? I'm back again! This time with a book that actually has an ending. I know because I've written it. I will be editing each chapter then releasing it here as they're done, probably once or twice a week. It's a shorter tale than what I've written before but that was the goal from the start. I really need to learn how to finish a story so this was a big accomplishment for me. I'll be writing The Rowan Fox in several parts instead, short but hopefully sweet.) (This story is a combination of some of my favorite things: folktales, foxes, ancient forests, and feel good slice of life. I hope you like it!)
