《The Gifted Seer (Bk 1 of Seer Series) (Completed)》Chapter 20 (Edited)

I ran into the school, my heart pounding in anger, and my breathing was ragged, as I tried to control my anger. My bag was bouncing and swinging hard on my back, and I could feel the strap start to rip. "Damn it," I muttered, trying to grab hold of my bag. However, I didn't make it in time, and my bag broke apart, the strap flapping as it traveled down to the ground.
My bag landed on the floor and it busted open. Everything flew out of it, going everywhere. My books went one and papers when the other, making it look like a tornado had came through and knocked everything out of my bag.
People laughed at me, making me grit my teeth together. However, I ignored them and started to try and collect everything. However, people were so mature and started to kick everything around, making it so that I couldn't collect it quickly. No one helped me collect the papers or books that had fallen out of my bag.
I could feel myself starting to lose control of my anger. My whole body was shaking, because no one was going to help me collect my stuff. I gritted my teeth together and closed my eyes, trying to stop me from screaming out in anger.
"Everyone, leave her alone and stop kicking her stuff around. It is not nice," a female voice said, while someone stood over me. Her voice had so much power in it, that people actually stopped kicking my stuff.
I stayed in my position, not even opening my eyes to see the female that had saved my butt. I was still too angry to do anything, and the deep breaths, that I was taking didn't help me at all. It just made it worse.

"Hmph," the female said before she knelt besides me. She placed a hand on my arm, making me flinch. "Disero la felpa," she whispered, making my anger disappear. "There." She saw that I was calm, again. "Do you feel better?"
I opened my eyes and looked to see a female standing in front of me, smiling warmly. A frown appeared on my face, while I studied her.
She had light brown hair, that seemed to look blonde in the certain lighting. Her hair reached her shoulders and curled at the ends, making me feel slightly jealous. She had gray eyes that danced merrily, making me think that she had never been angry at anyone. The female had a soft looking face, with a button nose. She also looked 2 years younger than me, so she was probably a Freshman and supposed to be one. She also looked like she stood at 5'5 with lean muscles, that showed underneath her tanned skin.
I was surprised that people actually listened to her. I mean, everyone had left me and her alone, even though she was younger than them. I'm guessing it was just because of the power that she had her voice. However, I wasn't sure. "Who are you?" I asked, finally finding my tongue. I frowned, raising an eyebrow, waiting for her to answer.
She grinned, showing a row of perfect white teeth. "My names Camille, but people just call me Cami," she said, holding out her hand. "You must be Joes. Luke talks about you all the time."
"Does he now?" I asked, shaking her hand. "What does he say about me?"
"Well-"
"Cami! Joes!" a voice said, interrupting her.
I looked up to see Luke looking at us, his eyes wide open, while he ran towards us. I frowned, wondering if I could still trust him or not. He knew what was going on in my life, but he didn't even tell me anything.

Luke saw my frown and slowed down to a walk. He watched me, while I looked down and ignored him, starting to pick up the rest of my stuff that had fallen from my busted bag. "Joes?" he asked, kneeling down in front of me.
Again, I ignored him, while I glared at the broken bag, that I had moved to my side. I knew that I was going to have to sew it back up, again, when I get home that evening. However, I didn't know how long it was going to stay sewn up before it broke again, making a mess like it had in the hallway.
"Here," Luke said, handing me another bag. He sighed when I didn't take it from him. Sure, the bag looked brand new, but why was he giving me a bag? I didn't needed it. "Look at me, please." I didn't, making him sigh and shake his head. "Joes, look at me. Please."
I looked up and let him see my hurt and anger. I couldn't believe him. I couldn't believe that he didn't tell me. Was that why he stayed behind those extra grades with me? Was he only there to watch over me and nothing else?
Luke flinched and looked down. "There is a reason onto why I stayed behind with you," he said. "The reason is not what you are thinking. I wasn't there to protect you. I knew that you could protect yourself." He sighed and shook his head. "What I'm trying to say is... I like having you as my friend."

The two men had come with an invitation, and an offer; which sounded more like a deal with a devil, but was seriously on the up-and-up.
