Kisa exclaimed as she sat on the ground, looking at the ceiling as she waited for a response of some sort as Lydia looked rather amused at her best friend.
Kisa questioned with a pout, turning to the ginger who was now staring at the wall with a blank face.
Lydia mumbled softly
the vampire whispered with a frown, looking at the same wall her friend was staring at, wondering if she was now looking at where those voices were.
Lydia whispered
Kisa quickly stood up after this, running downstairs to get Lydia's laptop before she brought it back to the girl, as they watched the screen changing once the key was inserted.
Names and numbers.
Lydia affirmed what was on the vampire's mind, a scowl on her face once she saw her name on the top.
Kisa concluded.
Lydia questioned in concern, the value of the twins was abnormally high, almost as if someone else had paid more just to add them on the list.
Kisa clenched her jaw and took in a deep breath
Seeing the complete change of the vampire's mood, Lydia placed her hand over Kisa's arm, trying to comfort the female.
Malia questioned as she saw her girlfriend making her bags on the next morning.
The brunette nodded silently, looking around the room as she tried to see if she had forgotten about something.
Kisa explained stoically, receiving a frown from Mal.
Kisa explained softly this time, brushing her thumb across Mal's cheek as the werecoyote nodded.
Kisa said and kissed her temple, making the coyote flush a bright red as the vampire grinned.
Mal questioned as she hugged her waist.
Kisa was silent after this, her hickory eyes connected with Malia's dark brown ones as she thought of everything that could go wrong.
Worst case scenario: Klaus could already have her twin.

Best case scenario: Katerina wasn't stupid to return to Mystic Falls and was actually safe.
A soft kiss and she was gone.
Malia questioned out loud, even though Kisa was already gone.
Shrugging, the werecoyote got her bag and started to walk to school
Hours later, Kisa walked silently around the woods with a hat and sunglasses helping cover her identity. The small town was still as repugnant as she remembered.
But the good thing about small towns was that everyone knew about everyone... with the help of compulsion, it was only a matter of time until she was in the loop of what was going on.
Deciding on going to the school, Kisa quickly compelled the secretary, it was scary how much they knew about the gossip going around.
Much to her surprise, although Kisa managed to not show it, the secretary seemed to know her face.
Reading the name on her uniform, Kisa faked a sweet smile and got closer to Ana.
Her pupils dilated and the woman started to ramble everything she knew about the Gilbert family, even her involvement with a Salvatore.
Kisa muttered to herself with a smirk as she leaned against the wall.
Turning back to Ana, her pupils dilated once again and she compelled the woman to forget about the conversation.
Speeding to the Salvatore's house, Kisa stopped to hear if the siblings were inside, and when she didn't hear them, she got in.
A voice identical to hers immediately caught her attention, speeding to the place it was coming from, Kisa stopped to see her own self staring back at her, although very much disheveled.
Humming to herself, Kisa opened the cellar, offering her hand to the strange doppelgänger as she gave her a grin.

After the Long Burn
After the longest exodus in human history, a terrible accident threatens to turn the salvation of humanity into its most desperate struggle for survival. From the ashes of calamity rises a new human story. A frustrated scientist dedicates her life to recreating the Earth in alien soil, while another is gunned down for his sin and sets off a chain of events culminating in a desperate escape across the void for an opportunity at redemption. Around a distant moon a deep space miner stumbles onto a secret, the key to which lies buried inside his own tortured mind. After the Long Burn is an anthology of short science fiction stories set in the distant Ionad System. Author's Note: I thought I might try something a little different with this story. Rather than one story, it is six stories of varying length, each taking a slightly different perspective to tell a larger story. Some are more actioney, others more cerebral but I hope there will be something for everyone. Stories over 7000 words, with the exception of the titular After the Long Burn, will be published in two parts. I anticipate an upload schedule of one part every other day.

Same Crap, Different World
A young man from early 21st century wakes up in a different world. This world is like a typical setting of an fantasy isekai novel. But it is also not. There is magic, alchemy, magical creatures, different non-human races, peasants and nobles, demons and dragons. But there is also politics, persecution, supremacism of every kind, entitlement, slavery and other unpleasant human tendencies. In short, this new world does not differ much from his old one. However, besides him, there may be others who have made such a strange trip, and awakened into this new world. There certainly have been others, in the past. But more than people and other living things, there have been items. All sorts of items, which are regarded as otherworldly artifacts with unknown danger and power. And he himself is an artifact as well, albeit a living one. Therefore he has use for the powers that be. He is also given a role and expectations to fulfill, to hide his real value. And in all that he still has to make sense of what has happened, what is happening, and find a way back, if possible. Author's note: I write this project mostly in (except chapter 1) in 60-100 page (40,000-70,000 word) chapters, edit them as such and later cut them down for publishing into 7-11 page segments (depending on natural breaks in the flow). Therefore, each chapter may be divided into 10-15 subchapters.
