Maybe she was crazy, maybe she was seeing things, squeezing her eyes shut she opened them again. Still here.
When she turned to run out, she was stopped by Dave.
"Please..." she whispered lowly, Dave only shook his head no. She knew that his no meant no.
"Let us explain Lay..." Her mom stood up first, and Unique followed after. Aubrey sighed, turning around, her hand placed on her big belly. She took the high road no matter what, and it was a little old.
accepting that her parents sent her off, meeting Dave, then accepting their death and everything in between. Her life was becoming a Netflix series and she was about to Hannah Baker it and hand each of these bitches their tapes. She was going to make an extra two for when the babies are born because they were stretching her to a point of no return. She might have to get a Tummy Tuck and start selling flat tummy tea.
"How did you two end up together?" Her Dad didn't care to explain, he wanted to know how they ended up in a relationship.
"She came to my store and, I mean this happened and that happened, and we happened and this happened then the rest happened" Dave used his hand to motion from her stomach, to the ring. "Now we two people happy and in love, ready to tie the knot"
Aubrey laughed at Dave, intertwining their fingers.
"Now, explain and I'm not Laysia anymore. I'm Aubrey." She corrected them, her father began talking.
"Someone sent out a hit on us. We heard it was something big, could take us out. People had turned on us, my crew got smaller and that was something we had to get over. Instead they sent men who loyalty lied with us because of what we did for their hood, we faked our death and left the U.S. for their safety. We found out the guy was dead recently, and started searching for you. We were ready to leave that shit behind anyways mija. We just didn't plan to leave you behind when we left the game." Unique explained, making Aubrey look away.

"Why did you guys keep it and me, a secret my whole life? I was so oblivious to everything around me. Dave is the one that told me. He thought y'all were trying to set him up." Aubrey crossed her arms over her chest.
"For your safety, if something like that would've happened differently, they would've come looking for you because you're our daughter. Had to think smart" Aubrey looked down at the ground, sighing.
She wanted to drop the situation, and not talk about it at all. She didn't know if she forgave her parents or not, but she knew she wanted to lock herself in her room.
But, she was hungry so she was going to cook first.
Entering the kitchen, she eyed her refrigerator and freezer to see what she could cook.
"Malaysia you never said if you forgive us or not...?"
Was it that easy? Yeah, she had forgiven Dave for a lot of things that he'd done but for a while his loyalty wasn't with her. He didn't owe her anything. Their bond wasn't as strong.
"I don't know yet, I need time." Taking out the frozen shrimp she tossed it in the sink, turning to look at everyone.
"What are you having?" Her mom looked down at her large stomach, clearing her throat. She wasn't mad that her daughter was pregnant, she was just mad she didn't get to help her through the months.
"Boy and a girl" she smiled wide, looking down at her belly. "I'm so in love with my babies, my little family. My life has been rocky but I wish my friends were here. Danny is crazy, he's gay, the funniest person you'll ever meet. Tommie is so pretty and nice. Reek is my twin, but Dave's best friend." She describes her friends with a smile.

Dave left while she was cooking and she hoped her parents would get the hint too, but they didn't.
Maybe it was time for her to build a bridge and get over this too. That's all she ever did
Reek read over the text multiple times, unsure of if he was more mad at Tommie for not telling him, or the fact that a nigga was threatening his future wife.
He was willing to go to war for any one of "Miami Baddest Bitches" and that included Zo, simply because he rode so hard for Danny. It was surprising that Alpha males like East and Reek were able to hang out with two openly flamboyant gay men, but when you're sure of who you are as a man and in your sexuality, none of that shit matter.
Neither East or Reek believed in judging people for things like that, and they damn sure wasn't homophobic. They spoke up when niggas tried to clown Danny for being gay, and for acting as a woman. If you remained silent in times like that, you're apart of the problem.
"What's good youngin'?" East walked into Reeks office, he watched East read and respond back to a message in under 20 seconds. Knowing if he didn't Aubrey would've been sitting inside of his truck when he left the building,
He was proud of his bro, and the way he stepped up to be a man. His and Aubrey's relationship was rocky, but what they had was love, and it was like that all they really needed from each other.
"Aight, so I found out some shit. I'm guessing I know who killed your pops." Dave nodded his head, taking a seat. He wasn't going to seek revenge on them, he'd probably send the name to Jay, but the man was never there for Dave. He didn't even know him.
"Alright, let me know what's good."
"I was looking through Tommie phone, and I seen some messages of this nigga threatening her. Basically on some payback shit. Even killed her moms, Eye for an Eye. She acting like she good but that's still her moms"
Dave's eyes widened, more in shock than mad. He didn't give a fuck about who killed his father, but about Tommie's safety. If Mase was alive to this day, he probably still wouldn't have seen him, that's just the way the cookie crumbled.
"So, you think we can figure out who sent the messages? Tell him dead that shit? We can even hit Jay up. Give him the run down on me and Tommie. I really fuck with Jay, but everybody getting they head blown off if mine get touched."
Dave understood where Reek was coming from. If Aubrey ever got touched, or was closed to getting touched he was going to war, that was on his unborn.
East nor Reek talked about Mase, so her knowing he was East father was impossible, and in a way Reek couldn't help but to think it was fate that East introduced him. It was like Dave and Twin meeting.
Good people always came into your life at the worse times.

Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)

For the Hoard
Ergo the dragon is enjoying his seasonal hibernation when human explorers from another world invade his lair. Sucked into an unknown land, and reduced to a fledgling dragon by the loss of his hoard; Ergo must struggle to survive in a world that has been utterly subjugated by humanity. More importantly, will he ever get to finish his hibernation!? note: while I ticked the boxes for sexual/traumatizing content, I mostly did that to keep my options open. I don't currently have any planned, nor do I expect it to be a significant part of the story. After all, the main character is literally a dragon.
